Weeoscar4life Glasgow quiz night

893

The good people running the weeoscar4life campaign have been in touch and asked me to pass on information regarding the appeal and forthcoming quiz night in Glasgow later this month:

“As many of you will be aware the weeoscar4life campaign team have recently been involved in raising the profile of a wee 3 year old boy from Belfast called Oscar. Many of you have kindly supported this initiative by purchasing CQN badges and wee Oscar wristbands and taking part in the “Small Change for US, Big Change for Oscar campaign”, with the money raised all going towards getting Oscar the treatment that he so desperately needs.

The next event that we have organised to help raise the £250,000 required for Oscar’s treatment is a quiz night. This will take place on the 29th September in The Phoenix (Previously Eastenders) on the Gallowgate with a 7pm start.

The quiz will be made up of a variety of questions, 50% Celtic related and 50% general knowledge. There will be raffle prizes and we also hope to have some live music after the quiz has finished.

Tickets are priced at £5 and you can buy as many as you wish for friends and family so long as they are over 18. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to make up a team of 4/5 as we will arrange you into teams before the event. We hope to be able to offer a ‘print at home’ ticket service so that you would be able to simply bring your tickets on the night.

Until then if you can contact us at weeoscar4life@gmail.com then Wecan begin to allocate spaces to those who have expressed an interest.

Thank you once again for your continued support.”

It is sure to be a fantastic night so please book early.

You can continue to read CQN Magazine FOR FREE, or can subscribe for £10 or £20 and our sponsor, Executive Shaving, who offer an enormous range of grooming products, are offering readers a £20 voucher for all £30 CQN Magazine subscribers.

Uefa have already said they are not interested in what happens at a local level.

Nothing will happen until they go bust again IMO.

And that is on the cards from where I am typing.

I posted this earlier, and it seems the only way that uefa MIGHT get involved.

This is from the sfa/ spl statement, one of the conditions of a licence for the newco huns.

    – Sevco Scotland Ltd has agreed to settle all outstanding football debts to other members of the Scottish FA plus clubs under the jurisdiction of other Football Associations –

That reads to me that they have undertaken to pay all football debts, including money for Jelavic and the rest they are due.

They haven’t paid for Jelavic, might get interesting.

  2. Seems to lose it when he’s being hustled by ND,if he can slow the game a wee bit,he will get more composure

I think the reverse… he has Djokovic running all around the court… keep the pressure on Andy

  5. Listening on 5Live – 12-10.

Would be nice if another ‘under-dog’ won today with style and flair on the day that we celebrate a great man who advocated entertaining play for the fans!

  6. Magnificentseven-I thought he was too quick to play after losing a bad point.HH .Looking strong but this guy can dig deeper than most.

  7. Saltires…

That’s the ‘reforming’ choker! Apparently the last 13 times these 2 have played the winner of the first set won the match. Come On Andy!

    MagnificentSeven,

Indeed and it took him until his fourth final to do so. But I’ll stand by it…in his previous finals whenever he looked like he had worked himself back into the tie he starts missing easy returns, not getting his first serves in etc, etc.

Anyway this is the new cold-eyed Lendl-honed winning machine!

Just tear it up like you did against Fed in the ole Limpix Andy!

Oh yeah the QCs are on an information gathering trip. That the FTT decision will be delivered end of the month smacks of careful coordination.

I cannot see UEFA turning a blind eye as you suggest if the SFA behave again to Sevco2. I think UEFA will stipulate its demands within the new organisation allowing Sevco to be established.

There is something decidedly about this new Rangers contest offering their fans the chance to win £1million if they hit the crossbar from the halfway line. Especially when the official Website page suggests it is being run from a hairdressing supplies warehouse in Troon.

Mugs will pay £1.50 per text or £1.53 plus standard network charge if they are stupid enough to enter and can answer the really hard question: Where do Rangers play their home games: A. Tynecastle; B. Ibrox. C. Hampden. (Correct answer, of course is: D. Nowhere, because they’re deid ). Or they can even enter their kids before the contest closes at midnight on the 30th April 2013.

The website page suggests that the contest is being organised by Matador Sports. There is no such company. And the URL matadorsports.co.uk contains only a logo. But the contact address for Customer Services is given as: Call Centre Sales Scotland Ltd., First Floor, 1 Dukes Road, Troon KA10 6QR. Again, there is no such company as Call Centre Sales Scotland Ltd. However, Callcentresales (Scotland) Ltd was registered to an accountants office in Kilmarnock last August. Its Director is Kelly Munro, who is also a Director of Call Centre Sales Ltd, which appears to have negative shareholders funds of £-130,000. And whose shareholders include Stagecoach co-owner Brian Souter.

The Call Centre business seems to have been set up by serial entrepreneur Gordon Cowan (George Gordon Cowan on official forms) and operates out of Argyll House in Livingston. But the only director now listed is Kelly Munro, who is listed on LinkedIn as General Manager of hairdressing supplies firm Hairdu & Beauty Ltd. Who operate out of a small warehouse unit at 1 Dukes Road, Troon.

All in all, I’m sure there’s nothing for Rangers fans to worry about.

I agree to some extent…he has had to learn to win against these guys.. I don’t think it’s choking so much as needing to find that extra level….they are regarded as the best of all time… and he has to beat them to win a grand slam

    now is the time

The QC thing is all bluster, they already know what has gone down, they are only making sure they cover their asses, and uefa will do nothing.

    I don’t quite understand this sentance……

I think UEFA will stipulate its demands within the new organisation allowing Sevco to be established.

    Now is the time…:)

True to say he faces the greatest level of opponent, what a sweet victory it would be!
