Weeoscar4life Glasgow quiz night

893

The good people running the weeoscar4life campaign have been in touch and asked me to pass on information regarding the appeal and forthcoming quiz night in Glasgow later this month:

“As many of you will be aware the weeoscar4life campaign team have recently been involved in raising the profile of a wee 3 year old boy from Belfast called Oscar. Many of you have kindly supported this initiative by purchasing CQN badges and wee Oscar wristbands and taking part in the “Small Change for US, Big Change for Oscar campaign”, with the money raised all going towards getting Oscar the treatment that he so desperately needs.

The next event that we have organised to help raise the £250,000 required for Oscar’s treatment is a quiz night. This will take place on the 29th September in The Phoenix (Previously Eastenders) on the Gallowgate with a 7pm start.

The quiz will be made up of a variety of questions, 50% Celtic related and 50% general knowledge. There will be raffle prizes and we also hope to have some live music after the quiz has finished.

Tickets are priced at £5 and you can buy as many as you wish for friends and family so long as they are over 18. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to make up a team of 4/5 as we will arrange you into teams before the event. We hope to be able to offer a ‘print at home’ ticket service so that you would be able to simply bring your tickets on the night.

Until then if you can contact us at weeoscar4life@gmail.com then Wecan begin to allocate spaces to those who have expressed an interest.

Thank you once again for your continued support.”

It is sure to be a fantastic night so please book early.

You can continue to read CQN Magazine FOR FREE, or can subscribe for £10 or £20 and our sponsor, Executive Shaving, who offer an enormous range of grooming products, are offering readers a £20 voucher for all £30 CQN Magazine subscribers.

  1. STV: The failure of Scottish sport (following Scotland’s dismal draw).

“Football is woven into the fabric of Scottish culture”.

    Hmmm.

No mention of the number of Weedgie managers in the EPL.

Why all the doom and gloom ?? :)) …ahh, bless. The puir wee hurtin huns.

  2. Marrakesh Express on

Its bad enough that the huns have cheated to win, and frankly got away with murder throughout their previous life. But we’re a month into the tribute act career and still they try to run amok. They behave and act with mindboggling absurdity when everyone knows they are ‘at it’. They have no morals and dont know the meaning of the word scruples. I cant make my mind up whether or not they go through with these ridiculously embarrassing statements to cling desperately to trophies lost, or is it just to make themselves noticed while they’re in solitary.

I said last week that Oldco must surely have been the most disreputable football club in history. They had everything covered, from sectarianism to fan violence, from Uefa bans to cheating, you name it they done it. And yet they still haunt Scotland from the grave. They do so with the grace of a sh!t scared msm and a spineless governing body. And lets not forget the Scottish government’s inexplicable silence as they witness this farce. The ‘establishment club’ brings international shame on the national sport, and not for the first time. Not a single word of condemnation from anyone at Holyrood.

Its a stick-on certainty that the brotherhood will have their mits well into this and it will reach as high as government level. Nothing surer.

Unless someone finally put them in their place, and it can only be the taxman or Uefa, we are in for a three or four year period where the newhuns will drag Scottish football into the abyss with them, with the help of their cronies. When they do come back, it should never be forgotten the damage their previous club and its ghost inflicted on every other SPL club, especially Celtic, who should right now be making moves to be out of here by the time they do. I’ve probably been to almost 100 games v them and saw many more on TV. I dont want to see one more.

The SFA is Rangers. Whatever team plays at Ibrox. The SFA is Rangers. UEFA dont care about that as long as criminal activity is kept to a minimum. That maxim however is about to be broken. So there is a stand off.

UEFA will be given reassurances that checks and processes are put in place which will be part of Mcleishs modernisation plans.

If Sevco can survive until then they will survive. They will need to find another 10m unless Sevco is a part of the Fraud and they have them bang to rights.

I dont think they are that far. So they will keep the coos in the field until they get closer.

  5. When you watch guys like AM and ND, I despair when I hear football managers and pundits going on about footballers being tired.

FFS, they are wimps in comparison to these guys

  6. I see my #TheRangersWaltz tweet made it on to CQN in double quick time!

Most retweets I’ve ever had. Sad, I know, but there you go…….

Expecting someone to text me it tomorrow.

    Good annoligy.

I still think they have to go pop again, they have debts they can’t or will not furnish.

If I were to ask questions, I would ask about their licence commitments re payment of their football debts…..bingo, banged to rights.

The amusing thing will be who is the most hated……or will be, it will be carnage when they go bust again…

Don’t worry about Connery, if Djorkovic wins the second set, he’ll be slipping on his Sherbian jumper and shaying hesh alwaysh shupported Novak.

  10. Marrakesh Express

Totally agree with you I’m sick to the back teeth of their cheating and bigotry, when you see in the papers and listen in the phone ins of Celtic fans wishing they were back in the SPL it turns my stomach. I would be a very happy man never to see game with them in it ever again

Lenny is a given, but Phil is the new bhoy on their hate filled agenda.

The irony is, if they had listened to him, they probably wouldn’t be in the crap they are.

    Stupid, stupid huns.

  12. Glad you posted that Paul. I knew a breakdown had appeared elsewhere some time ago, but could not recall where or when.

Imagine Green trying to take the SPL to court, as he has clearly threatened to do, in order to protect the value of those honours.

I think the Small Claims court costs about £27, which you get back from whoever you are pursuing if/when you win your case.

    Should be fun.

    Post of the week, mate!

Like you,I would love it if they never darken our door ever again!
