Weeoscar4life Glasgow quiz night

893

The good people running the weeoscar4life campaign have been in touch and asked me to pass on information regarding the appeal and forthcoming quiz night in Glasgow later this month:

“As many of you will be aware the weeoscar4life campaign team have recently been involved in raising the profile of a wee 3 year old boy from Belfast called Oscar. Many of you have kindly supported this initiative by purchasing CQN badges and wee Oscar wristbands and taking part in the “Small Change for US, Big Change for Oscar campaign”, with the money raised all going towards getting Oscar the treatment that he so desperately needs.

The next event that we have organised to help raise the £250,000 required for Oscar’s treatment is a quiz night. This will take place on the 29th September in The Phoenix (Previously Eastenders) on the Gallowgate with a 7pm start.

The quiz will be made up of a variety of questions, 50% Celtic related and 50% general knowledge. There will be raffle prizes and we also hope to have some live music after the quiz has finished.

Tickets are priced at £5 and you can buy as many as you wish for friends and family so long as they are over 18. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to make up a team of 4/5 as we will arrange you into teams before the event. We hope to be able to offer a ‘print at home’ ticket service so that you would be able to simply bring your tickets on the night.

Until then if you can contact us at weeoscar4life@gmail.com then Wecan begin to allocate spaces to those who have expressed an interest.

Thank you once again for your continued support.”

It is sure to be a fantastic night so please book early.

You can continue to read CQN Magazine FOR FREE, or can subscribe for £10 or £20 and our sponsor, Executive Shaving, who offer an enormous range of grooming products, are offering readers a £20 voucher for all £30 CQN Magazine subscribers.

The club formerly known as the paris buns know they are donald ducked, hence all the ‘we are’nt speaking to ye’ pish.

Cee lo needs a share issue, he already has the mugs buying season books, now he needs to string it out ’til the ‘share issue’

The Paris Buns stinks more than a skunks’ pamper after a madras.

    a fool and his money…..

    TET,

I think they are trying every move they can, just hoping hmrc make all their machinations pointless.

I also think any decision the jufge makes can be challenged by hmrc, if that happensthen their bubble is well and truely burst, the big ludge in london is demanding its dues, and dosnt take kindly to being diddled, Ive said before, I thubj we are witnessing a ludge war here and there can only be one winner, the crown.

Michael Howard has an absolute cheek showing his face on this Hillsborough documentary.

He was Home Secretary from 1993-1997 and had the opportunity and the powers then to order a full and transparent inquiry into Hillsborough which would have brought some measure of justice to the families long before now. He did nothing.

I see what you are saying, but what happens if Hector says guilty, what then.

The newhunco will say aye, nothing to do with us, that has been set down in law.

Everybody can sing for their money.

Strip a few titles, so feckin what.

The game is a bogey mi amigo.

  7. Stay up lads ul regret going to bed when u wake up in tie morning to find Andy has won. I was at the us open last Thursday and saw quarter final between ferrer and tipsarevic, what a spectacle that was and what a city to visit. Give it a go sometimeworth saving up for! . This late night stuff suits me right enough cos of the jet lag, my body still thinks its 4pm!

  8. Will not be able to stay up beyond this set so I hope Andy has the nerve to kick on from a great position.

So far, Andy has over achieved to reach 5 finals from a ranking of 3 or 4 in the world. No choker could ever win so many tight quarter-finals and semi-finals as he has without a strong mentality. But he is not up against one top class player but three and, behind Andy, there are another 3 nearly as good as him (Del Potro, Ferrer, Tsonga) and another dozen who will beat you if you are not operating at 90% of max. efficiency.

Andy’s achievements are great, even if he were to lose this one and see the choker rep unfairly sustained. To beat a Djorkovic or a Federer or a Nadal in a final you need to be a great player yourself.

I hope he proves it tonight
