We’ve seen more of these games than Brendan

693

Thus far results haven’t mattered, but if his players walk into the dressing room at halftime tomorrow without being in the lead, you can believe there will be an edge in the team- talk. You and I have probably seen more of these kind of games than Brendan. They are seldom straightforward and while the manager plays with pretty much the hand he inherited, I don’t expect a remarkable change in outcomes.

Assuming results go to plan, we’ll have six Champions League qualifiers in the next seven weeks. That’s a lot of football, hopefully most of it will be played with the benefit of one or two more arrivals.

  1. Weeminger,

With all respect, read your response to me to yourself and then ask yourself how can you speak for anybody other than yourself?

All I do is speak for myself, because I care, rightly or wrongly, I care.

  2. When I was queuing in the ticket office to relocate my season ticket seats a few weeks ago, a really annoying drunk guy wandered in and started spouting all sorts of indecipherable nonsense, singing daft songs and generally being a pain in the erchie.

Everyone just looked at each other and there was much eye-rolling.

That incident just came back to me in the last few minutes.

    Can’t imagine why.

  3. Did someone day BT Sport was broadcasting the game tomorrow night? Just checked the listings and nothing showing.

  4. Gold Coast,

And all because I told you to feck off when you wanted a photo taken with me.

What a sad, sad gutter turd.

Sorry but what youv’e written infers that because they answers to those questions (and I accept the third one) is probably ‘never’ then that’s what makes them plastic supporters. By that token it could then be applied to everybody else that’s the same.

The reason imo that they’re out of touch, is that rightly or wrongly, they consider problems in terms of Celtic as a business ahead of it being a football team. It’s something supporters don’t have to do.

I think the pendulum swung one way financially under MON, it then swung too far in the other direction and now I’m hoping it’s getting back to it’s balance point. We’ll see.

    Got to go.

Don’t see the sun. Would you mind giving a brief outline of what they said?

If you feel it is not something you would wish to repeat, that is fair enough.

  9. there are some individuals on here – going solely on their posts -I would be wary of sharing a beer with. others i would and have not a problem with. what does this tell me ? well i think i can spot a Celtic fann when I speak or converse with one, of course could be totally wrong. Reading a lot of reports about how the players are really impressed with BR and how much they are enjoying the training sessions. Hopefully they’ll be keen to impress him. The willingness to impress the boss should not be underestimated. I remember one of the Notts Forest players saying that they always wanted to impress Clough on the pitch, and would have bust a gut just to get a pat on the back from him. That willingness to give the extra percent can make all the difference

When you say advertising, do you mean their schedule? On my TV they have AFL FOOTBALL scheduled for 1900 tomorrow. BT Sports 2.

So,Jerry St.Juste, the dude who, according to Wiki,”…is a Dutch footballer who plays as a centre back for Celtic football club…”

Anyone know if he’s any good?

Its not a bad thing but you have to ask questions about why they were unable to, or did not appear to, be giving their all before.

We all know that the previous manager was a factor but another factor was that some of those players were just not mentally strong or technically good enough to play for Celtic.

The good thing is, BR knows this and his comments about quality over quantity were not coincidental,

It was the same when Martin O’Neill arrived. The difference in attitude and application from a lot of the players was extraordinary.

I have BT vision and it’s been advertised on their upcoming features, also earlier TV guide was same as yours but now updated to show our game, think they must have acquired the TV rights in the last few hours

Philbhoy….. Watching Celtic is a different sport than that normal fitba stuff on the box

  18. GFTB –

Thanks mate. Never doubted you. Just wanted to be sure I understood exactly what channel we were talking about.

I have Virgin Media, so expect the schedule to update in due course. Thanks again.

    Traditionalist88,

True the ability and desire has to be there in the first place. We’ll write last year off as one of those seasons (but with a league title won).

Off home, office closing early, and 2 days off to relax. All thanks to King Billy’s glorious victory all those years ago, sponsored by the Pope of the time of course. Who says Orangeism is bad??

I was exactly the same earlier when I heard it might be on, but BT have Brendan holding the Celtic scarf above his head on the advert, so that’s good enough for me now :-)

Not saw one second of any the friendlies so looking forward to see how we line up tomorrow
