What would Neil Do?

491

It all starts for real next week but, unlike most previous Celtic managers who finds significant interest in his star player, Neil Lennon is pretty chilled when talking about the player moving on.  I want to keep Victor, he reminds me of a young Keane (Roy), Neil will want to keep him too, but you have to wonder, what the manager would do with some cash to spend.

Only just catching up with CQN and the UK media, is anyone still interested in the big ball game?  Delighted to hear the man from Dunblane got his just rewards.  The excellent BBC documentary on him two weeks ago touched on issues you and me and not qualified to touch on here, but there is a great humanity story wrapped up in his achievement.

Our paucity of sporting genetic raw material is apparently untrue.  From a (temporary) distance it’s evident he has branded the Scots better than any grappling politician ever could.

Think Salmond missed a trick big time. He should have grabbed squidgey Dave, gave him a huge squeeze, planted a big slobbery kiss on his cheek and ruffled his hair on the way back.

Now, if it had been me sitting behind squidgey Dave I’d have pulled out a banner…….. a tasteful Elmer J number on every point.

  4. Guys – looking for some advice from anyone who has tried any of the hospitality packages for a single game at Celtic park – there seems such a wide range of options and costs ? Hospitality isn’t something i would normally consider, but just looking to treat someone special to something a wee bit different ?

  5. Bada Bing,

The reason Salmond is getting,as you call it,support, has nothing to do with the man.At the moment he and his party are the figureheads for independence. You may not like the fact that a lot of CQNrs are for independence, but its a fact.Me,I would love to see a Scottish Labour Socialist Party running Scotland, which I am sure will be the outcome of the 1st elections.I cannot for the life of me see what the problem with this would be.Or are we to wait until another sham of a British Labour Party,(John Smith turning in his grave at the thought)gets back into power, and morphs into a Tory party yet again.

A vote for independence is not a vote for SNP.

  6. another peculiar year ahead of us; virtually assured of winning the title, excited to be in the CL, feel like we’ve got quality players in but don’t know yet, wangers the gift that keeps giving, I’ve never thought that ‘I wish they were back’ but it may be interesting to see how attendances are affected and how the board cope with that, some in the media have started to investigate and report the sfa properly. Can’t wait for it to get going again, I love the SPFL !

If Sevco 2012 reach the SPL ,is there anyone at Celtic that can come out and assure our fans that all the cheating and rule breaking that has gone on in their favour will cease .

No ,I don’t expect there is ,so I for one hope the languish in the lower leagues for good

  17. Wee tweek

We the undersigned have concerns that should be addressed by our board, being the legal representatives responsible to protect our interests.

Recent information made public has raised concerns about the integrity of governance in the market we operate, specifically on the following issues

1.1. Qualification and issuance of license to operate.

2.2. Secret cross governance agreements contrary to incumbent transparency requirements, of a government funded body.

3.3. Unprecedented transfer of membership to a new entity, which facilitated queue jumping into the lower professional set-up

4.4. Participation in domestic competition without proper registration compliance

5.5. The participation of the governing body at an inquiry which they were the appellate authority.

These are serious concerns which have not been allayed by any subsequent statements or actions designed to placate, on the contrary they have created a deeper mistrust of those charged with the administration of the rules fundamental to the integrity of the sports governance, to the extent that many believe we have been financially disadvantaged by the decisions made by those trusted with the governance of our game.

Will the board join us in calling for a full investigation by UEFA into the administration of compliance qualification and implementation by the SFA?

If not can the board inform the shareholders within 1 month of this resolution in writing, why they have discounted such an investigation, when the above decisions have cost our club financially.

  26. Caught Panorama tonight. Sweeny had fat Salmond bang to rights quoting back to him his 2008 promise of 6,000 jobs and a £1 billion investment.Remember Trump was known to be Mafia connected at the time.

Salmond is still at it today – ‘Scotland will be one of the world’s most prosperous nations.’ blah – dee – blah. Remember the ‘Arc of Prosperity’ thing – Eire, Scotland and Iceland. Where did that one go? Remember in 2007 fat boy telling us that RBS and the BoS were world class banks.

The last word should go the Aberdeen Councillor, ‘Anyone who believed Trump had to be credulous, gullible or cowardly.’
