Whyte, Ticketus or their proxy the only show in town

971

Sterling work by Chris McLaughlin at the BBC who brought us the news that Duff and Phelps have rejected a bid for Rangers from Brian Kennedy, the owner English rugby club, Sale Sharks.  Earlier today Kennedy suggested the administrators get their act together and move towards appointing a preferred bidder.

A preferred bidder may now be identified, if not yet publicly announced.

I can imagine the process to whittle bidders down:

‘Tell me, do you own Ibrox Stadium or security and floating charge over it?’

‘No?  Ah, that’s a problem, as we don’t have it either.  Where do you propose to play matches?’

‘Forget that one, someone tipped off St Mirren.’

‘Don’t take that tone with me, we’re doing our best in difficult circumstances and we’ve not been paid a pound.  Yet.’

Craig Whyte controls the security and floating charge over Ibrox.  He provided Ticketus with security for the money they due on the season tickets they purchased, worth in the region of £40m.

Mr Whyte and Ticketus, or a proxy, are the only show in town – and that show is not a CVA.  Everything else is just shooting the breeze at £600 per hour.

Been saying this for weeks, tgey are all corrupt to save 1 team, a team that doesn’t pay their taxes and who cheat our team out of millions.

But then again it’s not their fault, its Craig Whytes fault he must be a Chelsea fan.

    Big fan of Van Morrison.

If you think Lou Reed is rude he is a charmer compared to Van at his surly worst.

The most insane i ever saw was the late great John Martyn- totally scuzzed out on god knows what kind of narcotic cocktail. He was a true wildman. Payed your money and gamble on what John Martyn turned up: a clear crisp inimitable genius or a mumbling idiotic drunk.

  5. I wouldn’t blame Neil Lennon if he just upped stakes and moved somewhere safe. The legal system in Scotland is hideously tainted.

    Maximum respect to the man.

  6. I’ve heard a few stories about curmudgeonly Van. I saw him years ago at the Glasgow Fleadh and I must have been lucky as I have good memories of it.

Always have a sense of regret about John Martyn (aka Vmhan supporting Lenny!) and what way his life went.

That is at least one object of the whole exercise.

He is hated and there are plenty around who will promote arguements for justifying the hatred of him.

Their biggest problem is that he is an uppity croppy who simply refuses to lie down.

CW – “Aye, so what?! Away and fling sh1t at yerselves. Btw, can you postpone the hearing for a couple of weeks, not that I’ll be attending anyway.”

    SPL/SFA – “Aye, nae bother.”

    SCOTLAND STINKS!!!!!

  11. Silly question but is Neil Lennon the only manager in British football- or possibly European football- that needs the services of a full time security minder to be able to do his job?

Yours is a much fuller description of what I said last night.

More people didn’t vote for anybody than voted for either Thatcher or Bliar each time they became PM. Maybe that shows the UK isn’t the wonderful democracy some of the right-wing of the CFC support like to think, that said at least in its defence, the candidate who received the most votes of those that chose to vote did become PM on each occasion.

  14. Me & The Other Half are off to see The Waterboys in 2 hrs. Staying in a posh Bristol hotel. Lovely stuff.

Maybe I can forget for a couple of hours that Neil Lennon is a hate figure for the Scottish Masonic ‘establishment’..the pigs.

” An Evening Wth Mr. Yeats ” is just the ticket. Hail ! Hail ! to you all and N.L. & family.

Not a silly question, at all.

Mildly outraged to hear of the forces of the Crown, dropping the charge of Attempted Murder.

But, – the accused, might yet even do walking away.

That’s if they choose to ignore the evidence and the explosive devices act of 1883, violation of which carries a very severe sentence.

  17. Tin hat on…

    1) Can’t get too upset at Cha’s appeal rejection. Had the roles been reversed I’d have expected Wallace to get red. (Accept that as he was wearing light blue he might not, but that is another argument).

    2) Can’t get too upset about Vic’s dismissal. Had the roles been reversed I’d have expected Whittiker(?) to get red. (Ditto)

    3) If there was little to no evidence of intent to murder why would any prosecution under any jurisdiction, in any country proceed with it? A democracy must be enhanced by the need for compelling evidence. The trial is still ‘live’ with as yet no outcome..

    4) All legal systems and/or countries are imperfect. Expressions of hatred of this country, or of a desire to leave are no doubt honestly expressed but is there a kind of Nirvanaland to which we can all retreat? Obviously not. Every democratic country has is faults & blindspots whether it is race, ethnicity or creed. It is the duty of free people everywhere to struggle to make their imperfect systems better.

    Now stepping off my soapbox.

Lou Reed once threatened to hit me with a chair in the old Albany Hotel in Glasgow because I asked him about John Cale. Frightful screaming old drama queen.

Well, what a wonderful day. SFA don’t hear The Whyte Album and the RFCIA “probe” to give the filibustering wee squit’s lawyers “more time to prepare their case”. And would you like us to send you some coffee and sandwiches while you do that, Gents? Nae rush!

Jesus. Talk about assuming the position.

Meanwhile, Cha gets his ludicrous red card upheld in eight seconds flat, the SFA’s compliance officer is sending Lenny letters at a rate of one an hour, and the Scottish judiciary have been reading Franz Kafka again.

And Motherwell manager Stuart McCall will turn out for a Rangers Legneds select to raise charity cash, which will now go straight into Rangers’ account. And, hours later, his team will play a league game against… Rangers.

Hun supporters, having raised a magnificent £3.46, decide to give some of it to pay the debt owed to Dunfermline but not to the debt owed to Dundee United, and use the word ‘honour’, apparently without any sense of irony.
