Wind of change set to blow through Lennoxtown

892

There appears to be nothing more than a desire to move-on behind Johan Mjallby’s decision to leave Celtic at the end of the season but it leaves the original four man coaching team of Neil Lennon, Alan Thompson, Mjallby and Garry Parker reduced down to two.  The management team needs to be rebuilt.

Assistants do more than just put the cones out and get players go through their paces.  They are an extra pair of eyes and ears, at the side of the field and in the dressing room.  When they are most effective, they are a source of learning, bringing improved techniques and ideas into the club, forcing the manager to reconsider established practices.

Strip some of the greats of their productive partners and they proved to be prosaic underachievers; Cough without Taylor was a sorry sight.  By contrast, Ferguson played the assistants’ game perfectly, swapping them every few years to enhance his stock with fresh flavour.

Alan Thompson was not directly replaced but irrespective of the speculation which constantly surrounds the club, a wind of change will blow through Lennoxtown this summer, filling the gaps in the original four man team.

If you’ve wondered about getting involved with some of the charity events surrounding the club there is a perfect opportunity coming up.  The Foundation is having a badge day at the Dundee United game on Sunday 11 May.  This is an important opportunity to anchor the ethos of the club to its roots by engaging thousands of Celtic fans in the simple act of buying a badge for charity.

All monies raised will go towards supporting those afflicted by homelessness in the Glasgow area.  I volunteered to help on the day and offered to put the word around, over 100 bucketeers are needed.  If you want to help, all you’ll need to do is turn up early for the game, wear a hi-vis vest and hold a bucket, but I can assure you, you’ll enjoy it.  Email the foundation with your name and phone number: cfcfvolunteer@celticfc.co.uk .

I think you’ve read my posts wrong mate, I’m on about when the Police already have someone’s details. I’m asking under what legislation they can share this with a third party ie Celtic, on what grounds is this legal and how does it help them in persuing their investigation?

I’m not convinced this us covered by legislation

I’ve had sone ding dong battles with the Disclosure folk and the Police because of info that has been put on an individuals file

On these occasions they were simply police suspicions …..the individuals hadn’t been convicted of anything ….

Not long up and just saw your post.

I’m disgusted with the way your son has been treated both by the police and Celtic.

With the fall in attendances they certainly know how to shoot themselves in the foot…driving away good a good Celtic family because of an accusation which I’m in no doubt is unsubstantiated.

Look forward to having a beer with you at Bobby’s do.

    Seconded

The idea of Chelsea playing with five defenders and two defensive midfielders in the CL final ……jeez

  12. Geordie Munro on

    Starry,

    Lol. Very interesting tie now.

Bayern at home with no away goal. Brilliant team but home record not as good as away in this years tourney.

Shame this tie wasn’t the final and thems other 2 were oot :)

  13. I have said all along I would be renewing my 2 season tickets, which I have had since 1995 or 6 since we returned to the revamped Celtic Park

Have to say now, action like those being taken against MT’s son, has me now questioning where I stand.

I will wait until 22nd May, for Celtic to announce some positive news for its fans before deciding.

Celtic reLly need to sorting the dysfunctional departments grossly under performing and failing us fans.

    In house security

Hope you don’t mind me leading you into those last two posts:o).

Oh and I reckon Chelsea would likely sneak it.

Paddy the guys name is James Church assistant to the head of safety security and operations. As you say a lackey.

  16. Geordie Munro

I’m not a betting man but I think Auld Ancelotti will outfox Pep!!

I watched the second half and Pep looked a wee bit frustrated and Bayern quite short on ideas.

    Anybody but Chelsea!!

    Mon the Hoops..

  17. MT heartfelt sympathy for your son, and family of Celtic supporters

Shocking response by our Club, or is it a dysfunctional dept in our club ?

Are you aware of any circumstance where the Police can give out details of a suspect to an unrelated party to a potential crime?

    weeminger

    21:34 on

Only a Sherrif can do this, and a charge must be brought first. I’m no legal eagal but something here isn’t right re Police giving out details to a non related third party.

    ————————————————————————————————

BTW didn’t mean to start a debate was just thinking out loud guys, as all the talk on this issue was re Celtic giving out detials and I was just wondering why no one had questioned the same of the Police.

Another CL borefest of defensive football. Used to look forward to these games. Showcases? Not any more. If Chelski face Madrid in Final, bank on ET and pens

  20. Geordie Munro on

    Starry,

I’m not ruling them out yet. Bayern very much still in it but I agree. It’s the most frustrated I’ve seen pep in a long time.

I’m agreeing with the sky pundits in that possession on its own means jack.

As posted earlier, I’m of the same mind. The Hootenanny could be a real melting pot of opinion and a real game changer for me

    Not sure

However I have little doubt that Police Scotland provide CFC with info

I suspect agencies such as the police share info all the time

  23. mighty tim supporting wee Oscar on

Eddie I think as pfayr said earlier it in all probability was the match commander. It certainly came from police. Could it be that the reason they passed his details to celtic is that the alleged crime happened inside the stadium even though the police never charged him.

  24. The Spirit of Arthur Lee on

When Red Star Belgrade won the Big Cup in 90/91 they played great football as well as pumping the Huns until the final.

  26. Mighty Tim,

ma nephew was a crackin wee wrestler Conor Evans, now in Australia just came 3rd in their national champs and just missed out on Commonwealth games selection……for Australia!

BTW, Church is definitely Hawthorns lackey, looks like we will be back to a season ticket base of around 25000, nothing but the clubs own fault, we sure are great at shooting ourself in the foot from a position of strength!

  27. I read mighty tims post about his son with a mixture of depression and weary anger.

Celtic are playing to the tune of police Scotland.,police Scotland and much of scottish society are institutionally sectarian.

For this wishing to understand how celtic and the police are sharing information, as part of the whole sectarian summit one sense celtic agreed an information sharing arrangement with the polce and are regularly passing your details to them. I believe they are in in contravention of date protection legislation. But the police will claim they suspect an offence. This is an unholy alliance.

I have been slithering on SB renewal.

I am now in the don’t renew camp.

Celtic are lying tipi us, victimising us and conning us.

  28. MT,

My daughters ankle is fine now, although she still persist on wearing crazy shoes.

I’ve two nightshift left then off to Murcia for a week canny wait…don’t think my liver is looking forward to it though.

All the best to your family and hope your son gets the justice he deserves. Hail Hail
