Hearts only offered effective opposition for around 5 minutes yesterday, but if/when we lose a domestic game this season, it’s likely to follow the format of St Johnstone’s visit last midweek. St Johnstone defended every Celtic attack bar one and created a chance which could have bounced off the post more generously for them.
All the pressure and superiority in the world are irrelevant in the face of the statistical certainty that, in one game, a dominant team will miss all their chances and concede one of the few they are called to defend.
More records beckon for this Celtic team, not just Scottish ones. Benfica’s world record 29-game consecutive league game winning record has proven impossible to match. But, there’s one team with a chance of doing so this season…………

24 hours to go and we still holding onto Gordon and Dembele.. first offer of 10 mill can take them both. 3.5 for an average goalkeeper is great business, and anythin over 4 for a very average ‘striker’ is a great deal.
Neither are the best in the team at the moment and are way behind Keiran and Stu Armstrong.

Started in NSB fifty (yes 50) years ago this month. Played in the Sat. Morning league with the Carolls, Foxy who I think is in photo 1 also T. Madden from Castlemilk, our captain G Gray, J Kennedy.
I think we also put a team into the City and Suburban leagues for a year or two. Played morning and afternoon for a while. That was a league!!!!
Left in Sept 1973 and played for The Mungo FPs that season.
Must remember some of you.

I’ve no changed sides, it is IMO the lesser of the two evils and harsh decisions need to be made, for me Clinton was unacceptable, compromised by Wall St and the Saudis was/is what my judgement is based on, we have seen what the so called left of America have done to the world and their own country, like the so called left of the U.K. They sold out to the highest bidder to feather their own nest. Very very few honourable people representing labour voters any more, mostly Troy’s wearing red ties.
Hopefully as Robert Tressel says Trump will cause a rise in socialist thinking as a reaction to what has happened in this election. The MSM who have spent the last 70 years discrediting anyone who resembled a socialist outlook have completely discredited themselves and continue to do so. Syria is a Saudi/GCC and Israeli proxy war, for me allowing or forcing a peace deal it’s a great start to his first term in office.
No way would the armed opposition sat at the same table with Assads govt had Clinton won never mind agree a ceasefire.
Allowing Russia and Iran to broker the peace deal is a real slap in the face for both Saudi and Israel don’t underestimate the message it sends out to those countries.

In 1967 Real and Inter were drawn together in the quarterfinals which I thought was great for us. We got, well if you don’t know the history… Interestingly, Linfield were in the quarter finals as well.
It was a smaller world then, but the giants, Real, Inter, Benfica, were as far ahead as Barcelona, Real, Bayern are now. The English clubs then as now were striving. We got there before Man U. We should have got at least 2. Jock would have loved to do for Man U at Wembley in 1968. Actually, now after a couple of Port Askaigs I can honestly say we should have got 3.
