Yet again during 2013 we asked you to put your hand in your pocket and you responded as only Celtic fans do. You raised £6000 before and during the focus of our summer fundraising activity, the annual golf day. £4500 of this went towards the 1254125 Appeal, which during the year did an enormous amount to anchor the club and support right back to where we came from. Clic Sargent, who help children with cancer, also benefited at that time.
Thanks also to those who sponsored my 10k at the Great Scottish Run in October to the tune of £1552. Times remain tight for many, so I the value of your support.
Perhaps the biggest response all year came from the commitment we made to Mary’s Meals to build and kit a kitchen at the Kholoni Primary School in Malawi. 1200 kids are registered at the school but there are no catering facilities, so students go hungry, or simply don’t go to school at all. Pablophanque’s family sent on the £4500 support they received in 2011 to the appeal, while 470 people booked a seat at the CQteN St Patrick’s Day dinner, with more on the waiting list. The work we’ll achieve in 2014 will be incredible.
This place can stress and annoy sometimes but it has become a great window into the soul of the Celtic support.

Tom at 12.49. Just read back and caught your post. Thoughts and prayers mate, best advice I can give you is try and keep a clear head at all times and remain as positive as you can be. Simple advice which is not so easy to carry out. All the very best mate.
Tom.. I am extremely sad for the much too early loss of your brothers and for your poor mums condition. I hope your brother and your immediate family find the strength to face the future whatever it brings.
Summa has shown that you have friends who will do what they can for a fellow Celtic family member and god bless him for that.

Hi guys. Just back in to say absolutely overwhelmed with the response to my moonhowling posts. I’m sitting here in my new celtic tap( courtesy of my son) and things are a lot brighter cos of this blog. Or is it the new tap : ). But seriously I am so proud to be a celtic supporter and part of this blog. The support I’ve had on the blog and emails has been so humbling. I wasn’t looking forward to today but am amazed by the reaction from the family on here which has given me a new strength. I can’t thank everybody enough who took time out on Xmas day to respond(to many to list). I will be in touch with everybody who emailed me today(jawdropping). But can I please mention TOM. I’m glad my posts encouraged you to post bhud. I’m sure you’ll get massive support( like I have) and hopefully some comfort. I too have lost 2 brothers( 24 and 35) and I’m heartbroken for you bro. I’ve been through it and lost my sis last year also at 44. There really are no words…. Only thing I can say is the support on here is astounding and hope it brings you some comfort.
