Broony Lewis, Fraud or not, Establishing Locus

370

Been in conference in deepest Manchester for a few days, has anything happened? First of all, well done to the captain for the whole onesie thing. I remember the days Celtic View staff had to campaign for days to get a word from a Celtic player. Notions that the senior players would roll their sleeves up and get involved with media, commercial or Foundation projects were fanciful.

While the move to Lennoxtown has no doubt been good for players and coaches, fans seldom get to see players in less formal roles, like this, or the now frequent Celtic shop visits.

BroonyIf you’ve not seen the video, check it out here.  It’s a Joy of Celtic kind of thing (which I know you have in spades).

Fraudulent or not?

Lord Haw-Haw: Yes.
William Shakespeare: Maybe.
Celtic, East Dunbartonshire and NHS Greater Glasgow: No.

Audit Scotland yesterday announced that there were no fraudulent activities surrounding the purchase of Lennoxtown by Celtic. Imagine that!  Celtic paid full price, including tax…

CQN and others spend years predicting the fate of Rangers and Murray International Holdings. The evidence was there, if a little hidden. Just because one group of fans can successfully uncover significant information on another club, doesn’t mean that any or every club is managed in an illicit manner.

The tip is: if you’re going to put a lot of time and effort into something, chose your subject carefully. Otherwise you not only waste your time, but you miss a whole lot of more serious action.

Establishing the locus…

….what you need to do before you are considered appropriate to mount a Judicial Review of a process. Mike Ashley did this yesterday, despite his 9% shareholding in Newco. Fan groups wishing to pursue the SPFL, should they fail to look at the goings-on at oldco in the light of various recent legal matters, will need to convince a judge they are entitled to ask for a Review.

There is a clear route for pursue, should it be necessary.

On Ashley’s Judicial Review of the SFA’s decision to fine him £1000. If the Association are wise they’ll capitulate now. He knows what they don’t, he started this action knowing he has enough to win.

So what would you prefer, Newco fan money goes into Newco, or is held for a more productive moment? I reckon they should pile in now.

Good post mate, I’m looking forward to a few beers before the game and meeting up with some from CQN, as for the game…being realistic, with the heart of our team unavailable or injured, I’ll be hoping rather than expecting. HH

  2. There’s a scenario whereby we draw tomorrow night and still qualify!

Tomorrow – we draw, and Fenerbahce don’t win: Points Molde 8 or 10, Fenerbahce 5 or 6, Ajax 4, Celtic 3

    Final game – we win and Ajax don’t: Points Molde 9, 11 or 13, Celtic 6, Fenerbahce 5 or 6, Ajax 4 or 5

I think it’s worth remembering that Ajax and Fenerbahce haven’t done much better than us so far.

C’mon Bhoys and Ghirls, 24 hours of positivity!

  3. West End of East End on

Awe Naw – I understand where you’re coming from, maybe play him at LB and do as you say. His crossing is exceptional and he’s got no fear. Armstrong hasn’t played in his natural position, he’s not a wide player. How will Allan get experience if you don’t play him, I think he’s mature enough to handle it. I’d still play 2 up front though…

Shame that there are so many on Ronny’s case, sharpening their keyboards for a Gazebo week.

For goodness sake the get rid of Ronny brigade are out and about tonight as a Celtic supporter I want our manager to do well.We are up against it due to injuries and we should be behind Ronny and whatever team he selects, all those he is so many games from losing his job should keep it to themselves as it is not helpful our CEO has already said we will be keeping Ronny so they are just bumping there gums. H.H.

So if you are looking for inspiration tonight, click onto the following link and scroll down to the first picture of Wee Shay standing… yes standing.

    https://www.facebook.com/Help-Shay-Along-The-Way-814451225255695/?fref=ts

Okay, he may need total support to help him stand and he cant quite hold his head by himself, but the improvement in a year has been amazing….and all this has happened down to the continued support of CQN family and friends.

Wee Shay has entered his second year of treatment which is already 50% funded. We are hoping to cover this year and a further 1-2 years treatment to give the family the best chance in their life together. The cost of the treatment is £6000 per year.

We are delighted to announce that next weekend you will have the opportunity to win an unique cask bottle of Bowmore 3 elements (60% strength) which was previously donated by ACGR for the WeeOscar4Life campaign. This bottle which is labelled No1 in the collection of 251, raised an incredible £1801 for Wee Oscar but was donated back. ACGR has kindly now offered it back for Wee Shay and we do not want it back this time :-)

Watch this space for more details of a fantastic auction for Wee Shay which starts next Saturday at 12pm on CQN

  11. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Vogue punter and Gordon, my codolences on the loss of your friend, Brian.

Great result for our under 19’s tonight.

    Gordon Lustig Boyata Simunovic Tierney

    Ambrose armstrong

    Rogic Forrest Allen

    Griffiths

  12. Dallas. “Great minds think alike,” that was the team I posted earlier. Only problem the end of that quote is “and Fools seldom differ”.

  13. my attempt at the team- fitting in with Ronny’s system

    Gordon

Lustig Boyata Jozo Izzy (that’s a lot of zzz’s in a defence)

    Armstrong AN Other

    Forrest Rogic Makay-Stevens

    Griff

Minimal disruption caused- the only decision is who else, apart from SA, plays in the Bitton/Brown area.

It is high risk to play Cha Mul Grew when he has been out so long- not even a closed door match.

It is high risk to play Allan there- his qualities are offensive -not defensive.

It is high risk to play Efe there as Ronny has never given him a run out there- I believe he has only played it once.

Other options include Saidy Janko- if fit. He is strong and mobile. Or Joe Thompson- he has experience of the position. A wild shout would be to play Tierney in there as a left footed defender.

Lots of decisions to ponder. Another big difficulty will be making telling subs. Rogic rarely sees out a game so Ciftci, Efe, Allan, Cole, Tierney and McGregor are the usable subs, depending on which one was not chosen as Armstrong’s partner.

RD might go bold and play Rogic there allowing Ciftci to start in the hole. You can bet that Ajax will target this area and Schone and Fischer will be looking to play through there and drag our inexperienced pair out of shape. I have a sneaking feeling they might fail as we don’t rely that much on shape.

I am looking forward to it in a mood of wild unjustified optimism.

Other moods are available for those that can’t buy in :-)

  14. Our team and club are in disarray just now.

Best prospects for a result seem to be based on when the chips are down basis….type of logic ?

Given the list of injuries, suspensions etc Perhaps, it was telling that nothing was planned to accommodate tomorrow night’s selection. You know get Mulgrew some game time…or give Allan a start…

I’m probably way off here, but the Killie game was (in theory) the ideal match to blend a player or two in?

  15. Tom Boyd is better than SuperSutton on

As mentioned by someone earlier, the foul on Brown which should have been a straight red undoubtedly contributed to the knee injury, even though Scott says he twisted it late in the game.

As for replacements, I tend to stick with playing players in their positions. And no way should Charlie be put into the midfield.

Armstrong needs to take up the mantle. Flanked with 4 other midfielders who have to share the workload and do their whack of tackling too.

The 4 would be Rogic, Forrest, Allan and McGregor. Perhaps GMS.

Rogic and Armstrong defensive. Forrest, Allan and McGregor attacking.

No matter who Ronny picks, it’s going to be a tough night. We know Ajax like to create lots of space by starting from WAY back, the keeper passing to defenders not even beyond their own 18 yard line.

I’d let them have and sit back on the centre circle and deny them space in advanced areas. Don’t go pressing high up the pitch.

  16. Macjay

The Zombie mantra in Scotland is that ‘Ronny is a Diddy’ there are those that buy into it,

like they did with e.g. Josef Venglos

Some others are just experts that ‘know a good manager when they see one ‘ types.

We could have had Owen Coyle or Jackie McNamara thats the vision at Celtic, if you’re saying we need change higher up the chain, that’s another matter.

In the meantime the core support are left to back the team, back the manager.

Ronny only gets booed on the internet, and we need more supporters like those that respond to the Ronny roar, he’s still pretty popular especially with the tough Tims that role up to Ross County, Inverness, and the like.

Maybe they are just Diddies as well, and the absentees will come back when they get a manager ‘they rate’

  17. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

    Corkcelt, thanks for the reply.

With so many first choice midfielders missing, that’s the only team I could think of unless Izzi plays ahead of Kieran Tierney , and Scott Allan is on the bench.

I hope we have a good night on pitch, its my son’s sixteenth birthday tomorrow.

Ajax , because of their horrible fans, were one of the team’s I didn’t want in our group.

Voguepunter telling some of them to GTF away from his taxi, cheered me up.
