I never saw that but still when the ball hits the net for 3-1 RD should have thought twice about bringing on an attacker. Hopefully Armstrong makes it for next week.
We were the better team for long periods, they lumped the ball up the park relentlessly in the last 15-20, well most of the game really.
We are a better football team, with a lead to defend.
Disappointed to loose the second goal, but we take a lead to Malmo.
So a draw next week? Okay we are good enough to to do that against what appears to be a limited team, after all Berget plays for them and they are all on a portion of our wage bill. However is there talismanic striker not back for next week? I don’t know but if he is that will be a concern
This does appear to have gone down like a defeat, which is a shame, however there comes a time when year upon year down sizing reaches a level when we have to bottom out.
I am pissed off because the match next week could ruin my holiday, I remember being in Tenerife 6 years ago having a lovely week until the Wednesday night when NL’ s team shat in the nest at Inverness and blew the league, that totally wrecked the last 3 days of a lovely week.

The most worrying stat was they had 10 shots on target to our 7.
We need to learn how to to turn possession into chances.

It looked like Malmö benefitted from being well into their season as they seemed quicker to the ball late on in the game.
I knew we would miss Jason Denayer from our defence but I had no idea just how much we would miss him.
If ,( and it’s a big if), we get past Malmo, we must see if there is any possibility of getting him back on loan.

I agree. I lost count the number of times their players picked up the loose ball in the last ten minutes. We could not hold onto the ball and frustrate them because most of our players lack the technical skills to do this and were knackered. Same old, same old.
It will be a totally different game in Sweden, they are dangerous enough going forward but are suspect at the back. We will pick ourselves up, if the Ref had played 4 minutes extra time, this place would be singing a different tune.
Plenty of positives tonight but a few negatives. We are supposed to be great supporters now is the time to prove it.
They have to score next week, they have to push forward, we will hit them on the break and score.

They turned it into a scrap in the second half and played hoofball and their manager thinks they’re good, if we can cut out the slack passing we can go over there and get the job finished, although I thought we played well tonight I will be honest and say I didn’t think we passed the ball well.
Any chances that come our way next week and they will will have to be finished as they were tonight:))

Never saw the game but by sounds of it the thought of our defence , esp with no VVD possibly coming up against Real Madrid ,barca etc is scary..
Sell VVD and get into groups we are looking at 30m.. Ronnie be lucky to get 5/6m of it. No where near enough.
Maybe and I hate to say it but Europa might be best for us..PLC don’t seem to bothered if we go into group stages very in prepared .. As long as they get their 25m and top asset sold.

Stefan should have beaten the keeper to make it 3-0.
SA was also unlucky with a shot that flew just wide and high.

I thought we played a decent game tonight,
not great but decent,
and I do believe we have the players to take us onto the group stages,
