‘COME AND JOIN ME,’ SINCLAIR’S ADVICE TO CAULKER

SCOTT SINCLAIR has urged fellow-Englishman Steven Caulker to join him at Celtic.

The troubled Queens Park Rangers central defender has been linked to a reunion with Brendan Rodgers having worked together at the Swansea City in 2011.

Sinclair was also part of that side and believes the England international would be a superb signing for the treble-winners.

Caulker has encountered off-field problems, but Rodgers has admitted he might be willing to offer the 25-year-old back-four operator a fresh start at Parkhead.

Now Sinclair, who joined the champions in a £4.5million deal from Aston Villa last summer and claimed 25 goals, is eager to see his former team-mate in Glasgow.

The left-sided attacker said: “Steven would be a great signing for us.

“The manager obviously knows him well from being at Swansea.

“He had an amazing season there and hopefully he can get his career back on track.

“This would be a great club for him to be at. I’m sure he looks at myself and sees that. I was also at a crossroads in my career.

“But if he every spoke to me about it, I’d tell him Celtic is the best place to be.”
