Walk with Shay 1

Incredible pieces of Celtic History that you could win

As you may already know, we have 2 Celtic tops (1 home and 1 away) signed by the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic Football Club spanning the past 53 years of our unbroken history, from Billy to Broony. These items have been professionally designed and framed, containing all the players’ relevant stats. These truly are two of a kind and are a once in a lifetime opportunity to be the proud owner of.  The signing of the tops took us around 18 months to achieve and the journey and story behind this was amazing. We plan to share this story with you over the coming weeks.

We are also delighted to announce that the money raised from the Captains tops (and other special prizes) will not only support Shay but also the wonderful work of the Celtic FC Foundation.

This is our plan

The WalkWithShay Campaign is now fully registered with the Licensing Board to run lotteries (raffles); and we are planning to hold our 1st raffle where the First Prize will be the Away Club Captains top, together with many other great Celtic related prizes.  The draw date for this raffle will be 25th May 2017 (no need to remind you of the significance of that date). We need help to sell our raffle tickets for £5 each and spread awareness before then. Yes, that’s right, you could win the Away top for just £5!!!! The Home top will be raffled/auctioned or sold at a later date.

This is where we need your help…

We’re looking for

67 Supporters Clubs / Groups / Associations / Online Communities/Businesses/Establishments or super Individuals to each sell up to 50 (Lisboa) tickets @£5 each

This will form our Green Battalion

and

67 individuals to sell up to 10 (IAR) tickets @ £5 each

This will form our White Battalion

You are of course all welcome to sell more or indeed a smaller quantity of tickets, if you so desire. Regardless of what you sell (or buy) we really appreciate your support.

We would like to have all our sellers registered before Monday 3rd April, which is when we plan to go live with the sale of our raffle tickets. There is a bit of work here to ensure we comply with our license, so please contact us now.

Please help us recruit by sharing our story with your family, friends and colleagues.

Will you Join Wee Shay’s Green Raffle Army?

Are you able and willing to help and support this amazing initiative? If so please email us at walkwithshay@yahoo.com or if you are on Twitter send us a direct message @walkwithshay we are also on Facebook.

Thanks for taking the time to read our update and we really hope you can support Shay and his young family.

Yours forever in Celtic and thank you for Walking with Shay.

The WalkWithShay Campaign Team

Shay Myla

    GFTB …

as much as I like to think of myself as a trailblazer, not not sure I opened any doors on this …..

when this was first raised, someone pointed out that I was, actually, one of the LAST to have picked Satan’s 11 in the competition…

but as a lawyer, I should know, however, that it is not important who actually did the crime …. it is who gets caught!

“I voted no. I want a Scottish republic with its own currency, domestic fiscal controls and a realistic budget with increased taxation for those who can afford it.

It’s not real independence if we don’t have that IMHO.”

If we vote for Independence, maybe a party will put those ideas in their manifesto por cierto.

    *****

In the scenario you describe, it would mean the currency issue would have continued to be the mess it was in the referendum we had a Scottish lifetime ago.

So I hope you’re right, for sure.

  7. Currency issue a red herring, there are several ways to keep a Scottish pound/groat/euro.look at other small countries who have good economies.havefaith

since RC isn’t around, how about a bit of Luke Kelly for St. Pat’s day… A town I loved so Well

A confession … my dad used to play this a lot …. every time Luke sung line ‘there was music there, in the Derry air’ , I used to think it was ‘music there in the derriere’ and would laugh every time… and my dad would get so mad!

Now this song always makes me miss the old man.

Flip I didn’t know you were a lawyer, I obviously pointed out last season that you sold your soul on LMS :-) and while in work the other week I read a post “just trying to get a rise from GFTB” am a bit slow on the uptake but I get there in the end :-)

If I knew you were at lawyer I would have refrained, am I getting charged for this apology ? :-)

All kidding aside, CRC & Jobo for me is CQN, loads of Celtic fans arguing about Celtic (& other things) but in my eyes more great things come out of this blog far more than any poster(s) having a disagreement……it’s no the worst blog to post rubbish :-)

    G. Elliot had a ‘hotpot’ on Wednesday, Tombstone, but said on TV that Cause of Causes was his best chance of a winner that day. Tombstone lost, but his tip won easily at 4-1, saving my butt in the process after a wipeout on the first day. So well done, Gordon!

    GFTB ….

It gets worse … I went from being a moral theologian to a trial lawyer … although, nowadays, I’m not sure if most people see that as a step up or down!

and dont worry about billing …. if I was inclined to bill people on CQN, you would be far down the list!

I heard an interview this afternoon, Lydia Hislop from Racing UK and Michael O’Leary who own the Gigginstown Stud, his horse had just won the last race and he said he hadn’t a clue how it had won as it was rubbish the worst horse he owns, he was reminded it was the Cheltenham festival , I thought he was quite rude in that interview and what chance the punters when the owners have no idea, enjoyed the four days but lost a minor amount,

Sorry if I have the wrong poster.

We all have to pay the bills :-)

Am a bit gutted today the weather never usually bothers me but “up the Main Street” in Coatbridge is St Patrick’s parish, the parish priest has turned the parish around in the last decade and now it’s a St Patrick’s festival in Coatbridge that lasts the full week with many different “social”events” with the main event on the Saturday nearest the 17th, the weather has been rubbish and it’s quite a big occasion for St Pat’s it’s always the closest Saturday and many charities make a few quid…… It will be a good day whatever happens and am sure the publicans will be grateful as out of about 10 there is only 1 that won’t make any money :-)

At Cheltenham, losing a “minor amount” isn’t bad going over 4 days.

Worth it for the extra arguments and entertainment in the boozer, as well as watching some cracking racing!
