Our summer fundraising for the 1254125 campaign and other good causes is off to an excellent start.
We have seven weeks until our first Champions League qualifying game but the qualifying rounds do not end for a full 12 weeks. These timescales will determine how seriously Celtic take interest in our star players. Right now, there will be little attention to these matters.
With a couple of new contract offers unsigned after 8 months, I expect Celtic will have a sale valuation in mind, but business is often done in the final days of the transfer window, and until then, efforts will continue to re-sign players. Celtic are in the fortunate position of not having to accept an offer to keep the lights on, so if valuations are not met, as was the case with Gary Hooper in January, we can afford to let players leave for nothing.

I have great confidence in the basic decency of “Americans.”
I know a good number who are thoroughly disillusioned with the current ,and previous,state of their nation.In fact,I have relatives who are considering emigrating to Oz.
They see no way the average Joe can change the current baleful state of affairs.

I see Biggart Baillie have succeeded in having the documents that originated from them , and leaked by Charlotte Fakes, removed from Scrib’d.
That’s a completely understandable move by them. In business terms advice from your Lawyer is as confidential as communication with your Doctor is in matters of personal well being .
They were quite right to take action. However in using copyright laws to do so, they are admitting that the documents were genuine. That means we can assume everything else leaked so far is genuine as well, and everything that makes it’s way out from now on as well.

Sunderland are showing interest in Celtic striker Gary Hooper as they consider overhauling their squad this summer.
Hooper, 25, is rated at £7million by Celtic but has only one year left on his contract. Norwich are expected to revive their interest while Hull and Southampton are also among his admirers.
Those clubs would be looking to offer around £4.5million for Hooper but Sunderland can also offer better wages.
Burnley striker Charlie Austin is also on the list of those clubs as they chase similar targets.
Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio is considering offloading Stephane Sessegnon, Danny Graham, Connor Wickham and Ji Dong Won while Craig Gardner and Seb Larsson are to hold talks about their future. Defender Phil Bardsley will also go.
Borussia Monchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart are chasing Ji while Cardiff have an interest in Graham and French clubs are considering Sessegnon.
Liverpool are keen on Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet but Di Canio would want at least double the £6.5million that has been mentioned.
Di Canio has signed Lazio’s Modibo Diakite and Maritmo’s Valentin Roberge and has made an offer for Argentine left-back Lucas Orban.
Celtic, meanwhile, are preparing for Hooper’s departure after opening talks with £2.5m-rated Vitoria Guimaraes striker Amido Balde.
