Aberdeen-Celtic in proxy for the final

244

Aberdeen were on fire in March, winning all four games, scoring 11 without response. Form since has been a contrast. They fell apart at home to Newco, and to St Johnstone, snatched a win against Hibs at Hampden, but recorded decent wins away to Hearts and St Johnstone.

With Celtic already champions and Aberdeen having secured second place, tonight’s Premiership game will be a proxy for the real event when the teams meet in their second cup final of the season in three weeks.

I can’t see Brendan Rodgers experimenting with youth, as he did against St Johnstone last week. The last thing he’ll want is to give Aberdeen encouragement ahead of the final. Much better to give them a bloody nose.

Once upon a time an angel held my hand,

She wiped away my tears and helped me understand.

Our time on earth is brief, there’s lessons to be learned,

Each precious day God gives us another page is turned.

Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,

Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year.

She loved us unconditionally, always by our side,

When no one else would listen, in her we could confide.

With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,

Down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.

She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets,

Always from her heart let’s not forget.

Angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother,

With love I cannot say in words there’ll never be another.

Every day I turn the page in my heart will ever remain,

Everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane.

Thank you God for giving me the most priceless of all treasures,

Help my Lord to keep alive her memory here forever.

I pray that I can some day be everything she hoped I would,

That’s she smiling down from heaven knowing she did good.

As we gather here today there’s no ending to her story,

Another chapter has begun full of grace and glory.

God’s called her to his heavenly home, part of his great plan,

Although it may be hard, we all must understand.

Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see,

Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe.

  5. Friday night football? A great idea, suits the fans and even if we have to travel to Pittodrie on a night time, at least it’s not December of January.

Looking forward to the game and hope we make a few changes but not more than four.

It’s. a nice feeling when I would be content with a draw.

Maybe I’m in a good mood for other reasons or is it because I’m off to Lisbon on Sunday? Take care everyone or I’ll start spouting off about the gym again. HH

  6. Fav Uncle, Not even on the bench, Henderson neither. Seems our strongest possible side. Brendan looks like he is intent on laying down a marker. Ebouie on the bench.
