I was there from 69 to 74 , great school for the football you were either Celtic or St Mirren but it was mostly the bhoys as you will know. I remember Charlie Fegan well horrible man. I played for the school team thar Brendan Maguire ran , at under 15 we went the whole season undefeated including the Summer Cup. HH

Ahh – kinda arrived there as you were heading off. Were you part of the fitba team that did a class tour having gone on some kind of mazey? Never knew the fella Maguire. The guy who took us for football was a Mr Morrow who drove a Triumph Stag – had us play taps aff in mid-winter after a clash of colours.
Big Gerard Butler was also at St Mirins (after I left mind you).
ChaFeg was a bit psychotic. Ghengis McCann not one to cross either. Nor Sister Berchmans over the road.

I could well have been on that classroom tour , First ever team in Paisley schools football to win every league game and also the cup. If Itell you Maguires nickname was Bunjy does that ring a bell,he was one of the good guys.
You also had Gerry Rafferty and Joe Egan of Stealers Wheel fame who left just before I arrived , it was a good school ruined when they amalgamated them all in to one. HH

I noticed the line that the BBC put across for the Liel Abada offside was about 100mm out, it should have been in line with the Aberdeen defender’s shoulder not the front of his foot. Liel Abada looked in line to me!

They were right…They werent moved for about 5 Fecking SECONDS !
