James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic. Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence. Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.
Do you remember the good old days when a football club would be able to spin a load of old tosh to the media, who would report to an incredulous public? This is far more difficult in the multi-channel internet age.
The BBC yesterday reported the headline “Former chief executive Charles Green is cleared of having close links with former Rangers owner Craig Whyte”, although the article itself proclaims a less ambitious “will be cleared”.
All fine and good, but I scoured several articles on this subject for mention as to whether or not the Rangers International internal investigation considered evidence from both sides – the key fact in this story, but one which was missing from reports. Fortunately an Internet Bampot stepped in to help all those in the media. I’m away to check all the updated reports reflecting the new information……
Willie Wallace will be signing copies of his autobiography from 2pm until 4pm at Waterstones on Sauchiehall St. Get your Cup Final weekend off to a Lisbon Anniversary start!

CELTIC look set to revive their interest in Sunderland winger James McClean.
The £2million-rated Republic of Ireland international, 24, is believed to be one of the players new manager Paolo Di Canio is willing to let go.
McClean was a target for Bhoys boss Neil Lennon two years ago.
But the Celtic chief missed out as McClean moved to Sunderland from Derry City in a £350,000 deal in August 2011.
And Lennon may tempt Di Canio with an offer for Celtic fan McClean, who has a contract at the Stadium of Light until the summer of 2015.
6-1with Hooper reviving the Dixie Deans tummelyerwulkies on completing his hat trick. That’ll do for me.
Good morning CQN .
On days like today heros are made.
On days like today memories are etched into your subconscious, to be recalled at a future gathering of the Celtic family .
On days like today men become BHOYS
On days like today men become legends
On days like today history is made
Lets just do it.
Hail Hail .
Morning Champions.
Looking for a wee bit of advice. I’m going over to try and get a ticket and trying to figure where the bulk of the buses will come off the M74. Are the Celtic buses directed to come off at Polmadie ?
Morning all.
C’mon Celtic lets win another double today!
3-0!

Greatest goal ever scored in a cup final? Billy Simpson in the 1957 league cup final in the 58th minute. That took the score from 3 0 to 3 1. Goals from McPhail (2) Mochan and a late penalty from Willie Fernie meant it finished Celtic 7 Rangers 1.
Now, had Billy not scored that 58 th minute goal, one of my favourite Celtic songs just wouldn’t have worked.
“Oh Hampden in the sun, Celtic 7 the Rangers nil”
Today’s game will finish 3 1 to the hoops. Sammy will definitely play a major role, and Kris Commons will get M.O. M. Celtic will score inside the opening 15 minutes.
To all the bhoys heading to the game, have a wonderful today. It’s a joy not to be writing ……….” stay safe”. Finals without the dark side = proper sporting occasions and a family day out. East v West in the way it was meant to be.
Hail Hail
Nice early start for me today.

the hibiki 17 year old Japanese whisky received as a present for birthday.
Just looked at price of it………..need to sip the rest of it.
What time do pubs open?
Yeah,bankiebhoy1, The whole country backs hibs to win the cup in the hun takes the biscuit, right there is the truth of this wee country in a headline. We will need our A game today because sfa have set us up for a fall and so have the msm and we will have to hide under a rock for a couple of weeks if we don’t win it, they will make sure we feel it. But If Neil has their minds right today its a thumping for hibs today no matter what wullie does on the park and the msm do to bang hibs drum off it.

It sure is think everyone is taking advantage of the unusually late 3pm Kick off and having a lie in.
I think people should respect others views. Everyone one should also know that nothing is certain in football, especially Celtic’s path. On a long enough timeline Hibs will win the Scottish Cup. They could possibly do it today. If Celtic play anywhere near their best then I would expect us to romp home. As long as we keep our noses clean – but that often means not committing to any 50/50 tackles as it gives the ref gravy to dip his bread in.
I travel hopefully. Hail Hail everyone. The journey continues…
Hamiltontim
Don’t be nervous mate, go along, shout loud and proud for the Greatest Scottish Cup fighters in the tournaments history, Glasgow Celtic.
