James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic. Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence. Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.
Do you remember the good old days when a football club would be able to spin a load of old tosh to the media, who would report to an incredulous public? This is far more difficult in the multi-channel internet age.
The BBC yesterday reported the headline “Former chief executive Charles Green is cleared of having close links with former Rangers owner Craig Whyte”, although the article itself proclaims a less ambitious “will be cleared”.
All fine and good, but I scoured several articles on this subject for mention as to whether or not the Rangers International internal investigation considered evidence from both sides – the key fact in this story, but one which was missing from reports. If we play at a high tempo from the start we will be far too good for Hibs regardless of how they play. So the onus is on the Bhoys to start well and the cup will be ours.
Slow pace will allow Hibs to settle into the game.

Warm and sunny in BR2 South London today, I feel quite calm about the game today though that may change closer to kick off, I do believe Celtic will win today and win well.
Good game last night fast flowing and end to end stuff but I do feel BM edged it especially in front of goal, they were just that wee bit sharper as we will be today. have faith, hold on HH

Good morning from an overcast West end of Glasgow. Had a wonderful night last night in the company of the CQN Brigade.
A massive thanks to CowieBhoy for his incredible hospitality and wonderful venue. If CowieBhoy had been mayor of Seville in 2003 that fine city would not have run out of alcohol!
Great to meet CQN’rs I had met before and those I hadn’t. A special thanks to CRC for getting me the invite.

Full marks for a good memory,maybe you got my logic.
I could concede and say yes if he puts in the effort,or could say Samaras as he would dominate in the air.
What I dont want is NL playing Brown,half fit,Forrest no game time,and persisting with Hooper if he is not doing it. We would be arrogant to play expecting 8/9 men plus partial fit players to win.
I would not play Ambrose as he will concede a penalty sure as God.

Forrest fitness is a real worry. Reminds me of Maloney and can’t help thinking they have done too much upper body work and causing hamstring problems.

In all likelihood today will be Hooper’s last game in the Hoops so looking for a performance from him. His link up play with Commons, who will be our main man today, is the reason that he will start ahead of Stokes. Stokes is a good option to have on the bed should we require a goal in the final quarter of the game.
