James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic. Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence. Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.

Been to a few SC finals my favourite being the 1969 4-0 win against yon deed team aged 9 and got chased and battered by 2 Huns on Glasgow Green for wearing the hoops. It didn’t take away the enjoyment of the performance and result.

Well the big game is nearly upon us and I hope we are not to cautious if this were a league match we would expect to win so lets go out 100% committed to winning the Scottish cup.There will be several players at Hampden today making there final appearance for the hoops so lets hope they are determined to leave with a winners medal. After today the summer will be a period of rebuilding for the Champions league qualifyers and while im at it although I wanted Dortmund to win last night congratulations to Bayern Munich on winning the Champions league.
