Age of the Bampots, McPake and cover for Victor

1008

James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic.  Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence.  Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.

Do you remember the good old days when a football club would be able to spin a load of old tosh to the media, who would report to an incredulous public?  This is far more difficult in the multi-channel internet age.

The BBC yesterday reported the headline “Former chief executive Charles Green is cleared of having close links with former Rangers owner Craig Whyte”, although the article itself proclaims a less ambitious “will be cleared”.

All fine and good, but I scoured several articles on this subject for mention as to whether or not the Rangers International internal investigation considered evidence from both sides – the key fact in this story, but one which was missing from reports.  Fortunately an Internet Bampot stepped in to help all those in the media.  I’m away to check all the updated reports reflecting the new information……

Willie Wallace will be signing copies of his autobiography from 2pm until 4pm at Waterstones on Sauchiehall St.  Get your Cup Final weekend off to a Lisbon Anniversary start!

It was on the twenty-fifth of May

in a far off Lisbon town

The stage was set and the teams were out

and all the chips were down

For the whole world thought it was Inters cup

    because they were so strong

but the boys from the Paradise were there

and sure to prove them wrong

We had Simpson, Craig and Gemmell

    Murdoch, McNeill and Clark

I have never seen a defence like this before

    that’s played on any park

We had Johnstone, Wallace and Stevie boy

all there to lend a hand

to slip to Lennox and Bertie Auld

aye, the finest in the land

Now Jock Stein’s men have won again

and all the cheers went up

for on that day – we took away

    the European cup

and the whole world knows when we meet again

    we’ll sing our battle hymn

for the boys who played in the green and white

    were the Glasgow Celts –

  5. Neil Strain writing in today’s The Irish News – ” This Celtic team have refocused, with tomorrow’s final the one last remaining target – and test of character and reputation this season. Given that they have spent so long preparing for one game, albeit with an eye on the early return for pre-season and European qualifiers, defeat is not an option for Lennon and his players. They will understand that this season will termed a failure if they don’t at least deliver the double. This is why tomorrow’s match is effectively a foregone conclusion. A question of how many Celtic put past Pat Fenlon’s side.”

I don’t share his outlook. I think tomorrow will be a big challenge and a tight game. Regardless of the result, I think it’s been a good season for Celtic.

Yes, I offered my services/evidence to Pinsent Masons.

If they wanted to ensure a thorough report then they can get back to me. Indeed I chased them up on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

As for the Dingwall incident. I cut and paste all emails, ensuring header info (re IP details/routing/etc) are all removed. There’s been enough intimidation and direct/indirect threats from those who wish to see truth curtailed.

There was no intention from me to remove the ‘Dear Whoever’ element, nor do I think it has any relevance on the context of the email or it’s unsolicited intentions. My uploads to date have already been dismissed by the majority of those who fall into the disbelievers category. Their views are an irrelevance. The lesson learned for me here was to ensure that there’s no further direct dialogue with a faction who are not for listening. It’s not worth the aggrevation and frankly talking to brick walls isn’t my idea of fun.

What should have been more concerning to those was the fact that Mark Dingwall was able to verify the authenticity of the Aidan Earley email to Imran Ahmad, sent October 2012. Perhaps this does add weight to the fact that key persons have been leaking selective information to others. Regardless, there should have been an immediate disclosure prior to the IPO.

Finally for now, those intent on mapping companies linked to Aidan Earley and the question of the Banstead 250k. Just draw as many lines as you need between them all, throw in a few secret tunnels, cloud the issue with a few offshore companies and as many ‘bent’ share offerings, pumps and dumps, as you want.

As for the 250k transaction. A sum for that amount left Collyer Bristow on 24/8/2011 and was credited to Regenisis. Strangely enough, within 24 hours, a sum for the exact same amount left the account of Regenesis and landed back to Worthington. Let’s just call it a loan note repayment and everything else is a coincidence.

I am not CW, I am not an Earley and indeed I have absolutely no links to any concerned individual/organisation linked to the story, regardless of how remote a link could ever be established. Those who think that are clearly not reading the detail.

Truth will prevail, sadly some knuckleheads down RFIC way seem intent on ensuring a cover up at all costs.

Oh and Kevin Sykes makes a return – I’ll keep that for twitter though.

  22. I remember it well – 46 years ago today – my telly broke & they couldn’t come out to fix it for a couple of days. I went to the Linn Park with my radio & a ball – funny enough there weren’t many other people about. Still clearly remember the crowd of fans coming along Seil Drive & up Old Castle Road to stand & sing outside Ceaser’s house – he wasn’t there – he was busy lifting the Big Cup in Lisbon.

Paul67. It Strikes me you could find the knife that killed Rangers drippig with blood in the hands of the murderer and you could turn it in to the authorities. You could find all the documents and all the tapes spelling out the slight of hand that has taken place in the setting up of The Rangers and you could pass that on to the authorities. They would smile at you and thank you and do nothing. For us Celtic fans I am sorry to say this is as good as it gets no further action will be taken against them in fact the opposite is happening they are being assisted in a speedy return to the SPL keep your eye on League reconstruction.H.H.

The Leigh Griffithes supposed calf injury has all the hallmarks of a somewhat half-hearted attempt to cloak Fenlon’s team. Griffiths will play, of that you can be certain.

Here would be my eleven for tomorrow. Paddy is the best bet in the absence of Wanyama, while Forrest and Stokes are far better cut out for this game:
