Ajer on-board as strategy rolls forward

Norwegian football journos I speak to all praise Kristoffer Ajer (17) in the highest terms. The 6’5” midfielder became the youngest captain in Norwegian topflight history when he wore the armband of Start as a 16-year-old last April. He’s a strong and mature individual, apparently.

Despite having made only 36 career starts, Celtic have watched him repeatedly, on top of the loan period he spent at Lennoxtown last month, so they know the player they are getting. The information I hear of him is all positive, but he’ll be learning the game for years, and for the remainder of the year he’ll learn what it’s like to be a Celtic player, something he’ll have little inclination of at the moment.

I like this strategy of recruiting and deploying talent of this age, a policy which has been missing for around 40 years, and has contributed to a similar period of underachievement in producing prodigious talent. It feels right for us.

    Margaret Skinnider is an interesting person,young girl from Coatbridge who was actually wounded in the rising.

     

    One of the few women who actually fought (fired weapons) as opposed to being a messenger/nurse/cook as most were forced to.

     

    Denied a pension because pensions were only for combatants and she was a woman so therefore couldn’t be a combatant.

    Martin Dillon’s books tend to be pure dung. Shankhill Butchers was sensationalist but obviously based on the facts. Tended to go for the lowest common denominator with little or no analysis.

    The co commentator was a guy from north east England trying to be the late darts commentator, Sid Waddell.

     

     

    They had an Irish guy un the studio but never announced who he was.

    The cheating continues unabated, what a country we live in.

     

    If we just look at last nights game it shows the problems we have.

     

    The challenge by Kiernan on Magennis was a penalty and a red card, nothing was given.

     

    It’s not just the penalties they get, it’s also the ones that are not given against them.

     

    A game changing decision made by an ex season ticket holder, tidied up by our press, nothing to see here.

     

    Then we have the Killie caretaker managers press conference.

     

    He goes on to say how they conceded a clear penalty and fails to mention the Killie claim.

     

    Have you ever heard anything like it?

     

    The opposition manager doing the work of the other teams. How preposterous is that?

     

    We then have BGX telling us everything is above board.

     

    The corruption has ruined our game.

    Right folks who do you think would win in a penalty shoot out Sevco or the deidy bears.

     

     

    With the Worlds best Striker its gotta be Sevco. Mind you I reckon he will be for the Offski when Barcelona announce Record Breaking bid early this summer.
