  1. From Tom English on the BBC:

“Celtic began nervously, and for the opening 25 minutes they couldn’t hold on to the ball, their passing letting them down hugely. From Ntcham to Roberts, they coughed up possession constantly and invited Anderlecht on to them.

The saving grace was that the Belgian side, beleaguered in their domestic league, were nowhere near good enough to take advantage.”

As bitter a commentary as you’ll ever hear. No mention of us having nearly 70% of possession away from home… And it wasn’t as if Gordon had been peppered with shots…

Sounds like he had his Celtic 0- Anderlecht 3 match report already written. The media in this country cannot handle how good we have become.

  2. It fair makes you think, so it does…

Daily Record tonight: Scuffles in Brussels as Celtic fans involved in street skirmish ahead of big match

    They can’t all be right…

  3. Hello again all you young rebels.

CTV until later so what do i do? if i go out someone will tell me

the score if i stay in the wee mhan will text or phone, i know i’ll go

into the garden and do a bit of work.

Shovel in hand i head over to the vegetable patch ( no not the ragers

end ) and start digging only for the neighbour to climb the bliddy

fence and shout ” great result this morning Mick ”

Didn’t know whether to kill him or kiss him.

Shovel abandoned, beer out the fridge and get set to watch it all unfold.

Brilliant result Celtic, more than just a club.

    H.H Mick

learning from mistakes is a good thing.

shows you are not a god i suppose.

so the fact you thought we played poorly when we were all over anderlecht might indicate you’re knowledge level. but once you realise you are foundation level football pundit it means you empower yourself to move to then next level. and leave it to brendan and sing when we win!!

  5. Yes,best win away in CL.If anyone wants to tell me we played well,I think they are kidding themselves, and letting the euphoria take over.We found it difficult to pass to a Celtic player.!st time we strung a few good passes together we scored. Before that we were woeful in the middle.Ncham had a nightmare 1st 30 minutes.

When Calmac came on,I thought we would improve, but he was as bad.

Great result, not a great performance. We can be much better. If we give away the ball like that to Bayern, they will do us.

  6. I have said this a few times before but I will say it again.

Back in the day when the hun was lording it over all in sectarianland, they always came a cropper in europe and the mantra was they couldn’t compete cos the teams in sectarianland were shite so when they came up against europes best they were found wanting……….bollix, they were up against honest and fair referees, end of.

Suck it up huns, it will be a long time before you Progress in europe

    Lads.

Nothing which is said by anyone on here can take away from me the elation I feel .

Although that would appear to be the motivation of some.

    I know what I saw.

It was a magnificent performance and result.

  8. I’m back for just a moment.

To those on here tonight who ain’t happy with the Celts winning 0-3 away from home in the CL, and saying that Anderlecht are NOT a good team ?

Firstly, Anderlecht are CHAMPIONS of Belgium.

So to those not happy are you feckin seriously saying that when Celtic beat Dundee, Hamilton or Sevco by 3..4 or 4 goals etc…Celtic are POOR ?

Are you also then saying that Anderlecht are worse than Sevco, Dundee , Hamilton etc etc ?

how come when Celtic beat these teams in Scotland , you same guys come on and praise Celtic….so by that feckin logic Anderlecht MUST be a worse team than EVERY other team in Scotland ?

Are yous having a feckin laugh ?

  9. What is the Stars on

Really enjoyed that performance and result tonight

Just what we needed after the PSG game.

Onwards and upwards hopefully, maybe even have dog fight with Bayern for 2nd place

  10. 67Heaven .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I am wee Oscar...... Ipox belongs to the creditors on

Radio Scotland decided to break from tradition by not replaying the goals at the end of the broadcast …. as I said earlier PATHETIC, SMALL-MINDED BIGOTS

  11. embramike says ” Yer team’s deid…Beat it!” on

Tough 3 away games in the last week …..

    League Cup QF v Dundee – 4 – 0

    Premier League v Huns – 2 – 0

    Champions League Group v Anderlecht – 3 – 0

So 3 games played, 3 games won, 9 goals scored – 0 conceded

We may have had better weeks ….. but not many HH

  12. A wee bonus from tonight ( forgetting the €1m)

Brownie can pull out that FtSFA team :-))

How far away from fitness is Eboui and Erik ?

Again this wee break after the Hibs game will give our injured players a wee break

Welcome to this world Gracie & Sadie Collins, twin daughters for my niece Cheryl and her husband Andrew in Toronto,

  13. ITALIABHOY on 27TH SEPTEMBER 2017 10:29 PM,

Yes we had possession, most of it,but it was in our own half mostly, which I have no problem with.It was the sloppiness, going forward that had me off my chair screaming at the TV.English was bang on in his report.

We did not pass the ball well from middle to front.

  14. Think Brendan is very aware of the negativity/hatred of Celtic in our press, he has just siad “we might get some credit” for our play, Brendan don’t hold your breath and watch what you say in you ever do converse with Bonner, a trojan horse if ever there was one.

What a lot of people are forgetting is that we were up against the 3rd best team we will face before Christmas – away from home (PSG and Bayern will be 1 and 2). We dominated possession, soaked ups everything they threw at us (comfortably); passed them off the park; scored 3 and conceded none.

This was. step up from our usual weekly fare and we coped admirably. We are a young team finding our feet and coped superbly well – 5 started under 25.

It was a fantastic performance and result.

    :-)

Mate. When I have to do the record and watch later , I get about ten mins in and have to do the fast forward .

At half time , I can`t wait to know the result so I go to the end and rewind.

Reckon your neighbour did you a favour.

  17. Bada Bing,

    brilliant link,

just got into trouble for waking the mrs by sitting here laughing and singing along

  18. Annoys me that so-called experts talk about Celtic getting 3rd place and Europa League. We can beat Bayern and Anderlecht again for second place in our Group. For sure Brendan et al will be thinking that way.

Tonight was a competent, professional performance, albeit some nervous moments from young players who are still learning/

KT, Dedryck and Jozo were my stand outs.

    Hail Hail

  19. No feckin Chumps on here will take away my delight in watching Celtic dismantle the Belgium Champions in their ain midden in the Champions League…oh and keeping a clean sheet into the bargain.

If your not happy with Celtic tonight…go and watch the feckin deid club

Celtic and the Celtic family don’t need you.

    Aff oot !

  20. Leave the doom mongers to it lads.

Some people love a good moan. Why deny them?

For me it’s about savouring a great away win. Unavoidable commitments meant I missed the game but I was told by someone whose opinion on fitba matters I value that we were very assured at the back. A touch sloppy at times but brought home the bacon when it mattered.

What I like about our team just now is the mental strength our young players summon to go from having a poor start to lifting their levels of performance within games. They don’t seem to get too phased most of the time. Great belief in themselves. Brendan has to take credit for that.

For the record I’m buzzing about this more than Saturday! I hope that makes me righteous!!!!

  21. I don’t really feel like i need to prove myself but I was there in 2003 to watch us lose against ten men for 60 minutes and we were up against a far better team even wth ten men than the one we faced tonight

Lets not get carried away with tonight, its a great result but they were really really poor and we were not much better.

  22. dont listen to radio sevco or the scoddish establishment .until we get out of this sectarian bile ridden country were going nowhere. lurkin huns girfuy sorry tony.

  23. We are a pot 4 team playing away to pot 3 team who had a long run in EL last season, that result tonight is massive, just my opinion but it keeps our chances of European football right up to game 6 at Celtic Park in December

Anybody 0 Celtic 3 in the CL is a terrific result and am sure the fans in Brussels tonight won’t give a hoot about any sloppy passes or anything else apart from 0-3

Fellow Celtic fans, good night and God bless

  24. COWIEBHOY…

A big Hail Hail to Sadie and Grace, and congratulations to Cheryl and Andrew.Magic news for you on a magic Celtic night.

    :○))

  25. Greeeeetings, well was that a fantastic result or not? And I don’t even think we played anywhere near our potential. I thought the Griffalo was superb and played his heart out. Ntcham well below par in the first half but provides the passes for 2 of the goals.

I honestly believe we will take something from Bayern at Paradise a d possibly nick a point in The Allianz.

  26. Celtic TV are scheduled to start showing game at 11pm CP time.

Hurrying to finish dinner to watch without fear.
