Appetites wetted, consequence of intimidation

608

For some, short holidays are over. Batteries recharged, appetites wetted. The international break is not the period of worldwide travel and mockery it is for others. If you think you are champing at the bit to get to Celtic Park on Saturday, Scott Brown and Kolo Toure could probably sprint there from Lennoxtown right now.

For others it will be a chance to put disappointments behind them. A few (well, maybe just Moussa) will return having achieved new heights for their country. As ever, Tom Rogic will pitch with jetlag having played in two continents in the last six days.

You know they will all want to see and impress Brendan. This is the way of it at Lennoxtown right now. They are bursting a gut at training to get into the team. Be alarmed, Motherwell.

You know when your PR is on nationwide TV, intemperate and pointy, that you are in special hands. Asking the same question four different ways lacks courtesy (and a whole lot more), but PR can’t let the journo leave knowing he’s got what he wanted from the encounter. I’m no PR expert, but you know when you see someone mis-control a proverbial back pass.

Still angry at that newspaper’s attack on Celtic yesterday. I didn’t buy it, so didn’t realise at the time they printed Peter Lawwell’s home address. You know what you are doing when you publish someone’s home address.  It rarely happens because the consequences are so uncontrollable.

It’s one of the most insidious acts legally possible by a newspaper. It has an immediate consequence of intimidation for the family – that’s a given when you make the decision to print something several hundred thousand times.  Utterly deplorable.  We are back in the era where attacks were incited on Neil Lennon.

Apologies for issues accessing the blog recently.  I’m on the case.

I think if the de facto hun rag in Scotland maliciously suggests that you were complicit in a tax evasion scheme and you were not then you should sue to put them out of business. Simples.

    =====================================================

Some on CQN have suggested the what was written was not ” actionable.”

Could the D.R. be so stupid in their current parlous financial state to risk being sued ?

Don`t think that even they could be that stupid.

    Or maybe they could.

    I wouldn`t know.

They dont have to be sued, I know tims that asked me about us defrauding HMRC after their headline.

Putout the statement defending the lies and ask the fans not to buy it, then BAN them from Parkhead,

The problem here is the headline and the content.

    The content was platitudes.

The headline was malicious allusion with intent. IMHO sueable!

We have for years not interrupted our enemy as it chews itself from the inside.

    Years and years and years,

At some point that strategy will bite us in our asses.

Its inevitable, we must rise up and strike or our immobility will prove to be our undoing.

At what point does that strategy hemorrhage our life blood??

    =================================================================

    Well , see mate.

I think that is precisely what is currently happening due to the concerns of supporters such as your goodself.

I don`t see anger directed against ourselves as anything other than self destructive.

    That is my concern .

We`ve coped with hun malpractice for decades of years.

Right now I see as our opportunity.

    On the field

    And QUIETLY behind the scenes.

The recent cooperation between the Board and the C.T. may signal the willingness to provide more accountability on the part of the Board .

    Unity would be marvellous .

I wouldnt have too much of a problem with that , but I instinctively feel that the Board are smart guys who will be aware of Tim anger and who will have their own strategy.

At least I hope they have.

Banning ? How long. Sine die ? That kind of creates its own problem.

  6. I’m not into bans, too anti-freedom.A poster earlier suggested we do what Klopp does at Liverpool pressers.Said he refuses to answer any questions from Sun hacks. We should do the same with the Deadly Record’s mob.

They’re dying a slow death anywho so let’s just leave them to it.Them and Sevco/newco/Franco/Loco or whatever they’re called.

The main thing is not to let them divide or distract us.We’re heading for good things under Brendan and as long as that continues they are losing and lost.

The future’s green and only WE can stop ourselves.

    100% with that.

If Brendan were to decide to do that , then fine.

    His decision , though.

We tend to direct our anger back at our own.

    That`s my concern.

  8. MACJAY…

I reckon Brendan’s wise to it all up here, seems to play the game well.

I’ve noticed how complimentary he always is towards MIBs…massaging their egos is more likely to be proven helpful than berating them.Seems a wise fhella to me.

I’m the same as you mate, can never understand the internecine stuff.Llike making an abacus it’s counter productive.

To me we’re all tims, that’s the main thing and should always be our highest focus.

I watched a small portion of House of Commons stuff from yesterday and an S.N.P. M.P. posed a question about Brexit induced racist behaviour.

Totally ignoring decades of anti – Catholic bigotry in Scotland.

    Oh the irony.

    Great line.

Took me a moment till I twigged.

    :-)

Brendan seems to have hit the ground running. Instant success on the field and in our signings.

    Astute in his dealings.

I get the impression his heart is in the job.

    Always an asset.

I believe my church is far too quiescent on guiding the flock on what the real issues are in this election.

Personally I cannot support a candidate who does not respect the unborn baby in the womb, or should she have her way even out of the womb.

However there are some voices being raised at last on the sanctity of life in the womb.

If you are a religious person with a conscience this 19 minute video of a priest from Arizona giving a homily is well worth watching.

If you are not but value human life it is equally compelling.

MediCARE is mainly meant for the over 65 population who have made contributions from payroll tax.

    It does not cover abortions.

However, MediCAID does in certain states.

I can’t be bothered looking them up as I’m switching between the Broncos and Chargers in the NFL Thursday night game and the 5 deciding NLDS match between the Dodgers, Kojos’s team and the Nationals.

Chargers lead 21-10 with 2 minutes left.

Dodgers scored 4 top of the 7th to lead 4-1, but the Nationals have added 2 runs with nobody out in the bottom.
