Appetites wetted, consequence of intimidation

608

For some, short holidays are over. Batteries recharged, appetites wetted. The international break is not the period of worldwide travel and mockery it is for others. If you think you are champing at the bit to get to Celtic Park on Saturday, Scott Brown and Kolo Toure could probably sprint there from Lennoxtown right now.

For others it will be a chance to put disappointments behind them. A few (well, maybe just Moussa) will return having achieved new heights for their country. As ever, Tom Rogic will pitch with jetlag having played in two continents in the last six days.

You know they will all want to see and impress Brendan. This is the way of it at Lennoxtown right now. They are bursting a gut at training to get into the team. Be alarmed, Motherwell.

You know when your PR is on nationwide TV, intemperate and pointy, that you are in special hands. Asking the same question four different ways lacks courtesy (and a whole lot more), but PR can’t let the journo leave knowing he’s got what he wanted from the encounter. I’m no PR expert, but you know when you see someone mis-control a proverbial back pass.

Still angry at that newspaper’s attack on Celtic yesterday. I didn’t buy it, so didn’t realise at the time they printed Peter Lawwell’s home address. You know what you are doing when you publish someone’s home address.  It rarely happens because the consequences are so uncontrollable.

It’s one of the most insidious acts legally possible by a newspaper. It has an immediate consequence of intimidation for the family – that’s a given when you make the decision to print something several hundred thousand times.  Utterly deplorable.  We are back in the era where attacks were incited on Neil Lennon.

Apologies for issues accessing the blog recently.  I’m on the case.

The PMcC (God bless him) link seems to be a conundrum – who owns Sevco (Whyte .v. Green) – is Sevco still relevant – has it morphed over to TRIFC?

I remember posting back in Nov 2011 that they would be embroiled in 5 years of litigation – CFC will have done 10-in-a-row before that mob sort it out!!

It’s prohibited under section 216 of the 1986 Insolvency Act.

Incredible that no creditor, especially one of the bigger ones, made any complaint.

It has always enraged me the fact that the are called rangers anything. The fact they still use the same badges is a Kikin the nakas to quote a name on here.

Whether its against HMRC or companies house is irrelevant the fact is it should not be allowed.

Its as clear and flagrant breach of company law that we will see.

Even the rectum “investigation dept” must have a file on that? Surely Celtic PLC and their lawyers must have noted that too. Sure we are a owed money from the old regime too…….

There will be another 3 or 4 re-inventions before someone sorts out the first re-invention. They will be involved in legal battles for ownership ontop of legal battles for ownership…..

    I share your anger.

The only way they could drop their 100 million plus pounds of debt was to stop being Rangers.

Sevco have none of that debt, so obviously can’t be Rangers.

  8. There’s another point if craigy whyte, billionare, wins his upcoming court case does that free him up to sue chuckles green for ownership?

Or is that still up in the air regardless??

Breaking out for a wee while … just got the ” why are you sitting through here ?” question.

Thought the whisky and cigar clouds were obvious, but there you go.

The law and the hun, we have seen them carve things up for manys a year, so why would it stop now, they have destroyed the game here, prob other clubs have is they actually need the bigot £, or they think they do and the rest are hun bigots anyways so will do and say sfa.

Never, ever underestimate the power the masons have, they are a law unto themselfs, as we have seen and are seeing.

  11. TET

Indeed the other clubs USED to think they needed the rangers money to stay afloat but the fact we saw record crowds and record low debts surely lets other clubs see that this is no longer the case.

The bigot pound is another case and leads me to believe that Celtic, as a PLC, not as a community needs the bigot pound.

  12. Clunks

Pedro himself told us we were losing £10 mill a year without the hun, so there you have £10 million reasons for a start why the PLC are delighted they are, or their bastard incarnation are back.

How sad is that, truth, honesty, integrity disny get a look in.

  13. TET

PLC is a money making enterprise, they are not reflective of the Celtic community at large.

Truth, honesty, integrity not required in a farce.

54 titles in 4 years, “going for 55”.

Way beyond anything Brian Rix ever came up with.

  15. Here’s a wee thought about that dozent of sports journalists, H. Mc Ilvanney. Smart bloke, wrote well on a startlingly wide range of sports. Appeared knowledgeable/thoughtful on most aspects of chosen subjects. Became that sports journalist who garnered plaudits from his peers, some of whom recommended him for recognition in the Honours List.

And who subscribed unequivocally to the MSM resolve to ignore the institutionalised racism/sectarianism of the Ibrox-based club. He knew better, and throughout his journalistic career, he can accurately be characterised as having chosen to be blind deaf and dumb on the matter. Doesn’t signify that he was only one of many: but there came a stage when he was writing material which might readily be characterised as “self-indulgent pap, admirably expressed”, and with the topic addressed being *whatever the hell he wanted to address*. This is a man who spent decades in an almost an unassailable/unimpugnable situation; and resolutelyy, he chose to ignore the racism which infected Rangers and Scottish football, root and branch.

Well yay! for the highly qualified integrity of Scotland’s finest sports writer; if Keech Jackson was capable of writing stuff that included with semi-colons and subordinate clauses, the general tenor of his approach to Celtic Football Club and the *cirmumstances* surrounding it, he’d be every bit as estimable as your man Hugh.

McIlvanney: A Man of His Time: and that time can be typified as embracing a “Timmy stay at the back of the bus” standard throughout the entirety of his journalistic career.

Dont you just hate it when people reveal private information on the internet?

    BTW

    Whats a cock?

  17. I’m going to do a score predictor for the 4 games that are showing below the article.

    Celtic 8 Motherwell 0

    Celtic 4 BMG 3

    Celtic 3 Sevco 1

    Celtic 3 Ross County 1

Celtic will give Everything on Wednesday and for once, I’m happy we are playing a SF on the Sunday. ;)

    yes you did.

Oh you were in blottoland too?

    Thats ok or convenient.

One thing as Tims is we need to be consistent.

    Dont you agree?

In my opinion a timpocrite on the timternet is much the same as a hypocrite on the internet.

    lets ask petec

    he was there :)

  19. Mags, sorry I thought I called you a mutt, my mistake!

    Apologies for both.

My main grievance was you having a pop at other posters with the passive aggressive stance that you consistently hide behind.

    Don’t you agree?

    Lets ask Petec

    he was there ;(

  20. However, I believe that you are a good tim and as such am sure that we can stop abusing each other as it serves no purpose.

Other than making us both look like cocks……

    so a truce?

ok no worries mate. I only have a pop when being popped at.

@petec Yes agreed. Celtic are looking superior on the park.

I will never trust this PLC though.

  22. Petec, Celtic are due, in December which will run into March, to run into win ugly phase,

The pitches are super heavy, our limbs are super tired and strained beyond recognition due to the huge amount of games it takes us to get into europe and then be in the group stages.

Injuries and fatigue will make us win ugly for the rest of the winter.

  23. Mags

The PLC is the problem. Its job is to make money, for the PLC.

We are Celtic fans and we exist to love Celtic, not money.

The PLC will never make the fan happy because of this difference in love.

  24. Peter Lawwell must be doing some work if the National hun rag is publishing his home address.

I’d hazard a guess, that it is work that is not obvious, but it must be something if a Newspaper is doing that, no?

What with the Stench of corruption that permanently resides from G42 to G51.

I know where you are coming from. On this we differ. To me they are not Celtic supporters. Their only love is money but to be fair thats always been the case with our custodians. However, in my opinion this time it is more insidious.
