It’s a lot easier to improve a bad team than a treble winning team, but Brendan Rodgers has the latter challenge ahead this summer. One of his principle objectives will be to retain Stuart Armstrong on a new deal. As CQN reported this morning, good progress has been made on that front.
Loving the updates from the Celtic FC Foundation delegation, currently in Malawi with Mary’s Meals. You can follow the remarkable updates from LeftyBhoy here.
This work is being done in your name, with funds you helped raise. Keep an eye on what is being achieved.
Just landed for two days R&R in Belfast. Not been since the mid-90s……….. Off to find a pub and some rich culture…… Recommendations welcome but no messing!!!

I GG- :))
I know Brendan is on his honeymoon, but come on we demand a signing.
OK a resigning will do.
Now that I have Brendan’s attention I have a wee suggestion for the younger prospects.
Let’s help the players get real top level experience by loaning them to a couple or three of the top six contenders.
Ajer is an obvious one to toughen up and send on a loan deal to Hibs.
Neil will give us an honest regular assessment of his potential.
Personally I believe he’s one for the future and will fit naturally into a stylish defensive formation in 2018.
Anthony Ralston would be a good candidate to join him as we have Gamboa and Janko providing cover for our favourite Swedish defender.
Who would be the best candidates to send to Aberdeen on loan?
Liam Henderson? Aidan Nesbitt?
Excepting Ryan Christie who should be competing for a place in the first team.

MACJAY1 FOR NEIL LENNONon13TH JUNE 2017 7:52 AMAN TEARMANN on 13TH JUNE 2017 6:45 AM Immigrants and those seeking refuge are welcome. ================================================== How about those planted in what is now known as Northern Ireland ?
Frightening pictures on Sky News of a London tower block, 27 stories, completely engulfed in flames.
Pray for all the families caught in it.
The english used in your question is confused, cheap and only highlghts you as an insecure immigrant.pity as you spend a lot of time typing.:-)
Macjay why is your immigrant status sensitive?
I read you claim it as personal and childish.
Nonsense.
You are an immigrant attempting to inhibit other immigtants the same rights as you were given (with or without drone bombings)
You can ask your loaded question many times.it only highlights your confusion.
I hope planters are welcome at Parkhead,my friend being one of, regularly pops over.his divis upbringing schooled him in all things irish.
You stick to typing mince bout the the tourist trade and refugee camps.
I smile at oz emigrants like you and sonnaich farting of bout racist brits(how suprising) without any insight into aboriginal genocide or the “holiday” island for refugees at Neura(sp)
Celtic open to all and smash racism wherevet the skin pigment ideology exist.

Horrific stuff in West London. There’s about 120 flats in that building, and I’m guessing most of them would have been occupied, given the time the fire broke out.
Fingers crossed for a low casualty rate-including the emergency services.

I`m afraid the signs do not at all look good , mate.
MACJAY
It seems the building had no central fire alarm, and that it was clad in an inflammable material.
Bloody hell,I hope neither of those two suggestions are correct-but it would explain the speed at which the entire building caught.
BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on 14TH JUNE 2017 6:57 AM
Apparently a fair number of the people were awake early morning and observing Ramadan.
Nevertheless , it really is horrific how quickly the fire spread.
Reports that renovations were being carried out .
Good morning CQN from a dry, sunny and warm East Devon.
Some goer in West London, astonishing.
hi good morning bhoys from a blue skied west cheshire. thoughts and prayers to all those people in london.
It looks really bad for some in London overnight, but there is something far wrong in that building, what happened to the fire separation?
It’s always being the Fire Services nightmare fighting a major fire in a tower block, an almost impossible job.
Thoughts and prayers with everyone affected in London. Fatalities have been confirmed.
This makes for grim reading,

Dreadful news from London; though somewhat inspiring when you see how communities come together to help each other.

ADVERB
In spite of that; notwithstanding; all the same.’
Horrible news from West London. As someone rescued as a youngster from a tenement fire where there was a casualty, I remember the heroism of neighbours who put themselves at risk to earn the upstair flat residents to get out before emergency services had arrived.
Looking at the Grenfell Tower Block fire- it is hard to see how upper floor residents could escape. Shocking to see how quickly the fire spread but, even without the flames, the smoke is a killer and the casualty figure might yet rise.
A sombre day.
Apparently, there had been warnings that the building wasn’t compliant with the fire safety regulations.

That reminds me of this story.
‘Peccavi
In 1843, after annexing the then-Indian village Miani of Sindh against orders, legend has it that British General Sir Charles Napier sent home a one word telegram, “Peccavi”, taking use of its Latin meaning “I have sinned” and the heterograph “I have Sindh.” This pun appeared under the title ‘Foreign Affairs’ in Punch magazine on 18 May 1844. The true author of the pun was, however, Englishwoman Catherine Winkworth, who submitted it to Punch, which then printed it as a factual report.’
