Armstrong, Foundation in Malawi

606

It’s a lot easier to improve a bad team than a treble winning team, but Brendan Rodgers has the latter challenge ahead this summer. One of his principle objectives will be to retain Stuart Armstrong on a new deal. As CQN reported this morning, good progress has been made on that front.

Loving the updates from the Celtic FC Foundation delegation, currently in Malawi with Mary’s Meals. You can follow the remarkable updates from LeftyBhoy here.

This work is being done in your name, with funds you helped raise. Keep an eye on what is being achieved.

Just landed for two days R&R in Belfast. Not been since the mid-90s……….. Off to find a pub and some rich culture…… Recommendations welcome but no messing!!!

  2. Speaking to a friend in Austria who has a insulation business . He said the cladding used on the Greenwell flats is not allowed there. It seems one of the wealthiest councils in the UK refurbished the building on the cheap.

  3. Good morning, just back from Vegas, what a fabulous time I had, one big party, not one raised voice or a broken ash tray, almost 3,000 Celtic fans there, outstanding behaviour well done to all of you, met a few CQN guys nice to see them nice people.

DD, i’m not suggesting that. Its funny most of the victims seem to be Muslim though.

That comment and your subsequent comments do you a great dis-service. All victims are human beings.

I assumed he was suggesting the fire may have been started deliberately because many of the residents were Muslims ie it was a racist attack.

I doubt that’s the case, but it would be wrong to rule it out as a possibility straight away.

I suspect the fire started accidentally and then a number of failings have combined to cause the disaster.

The root cause though of all the failings however will almost certainly be people trying to squeeze as much profit as possible out of the building.

I can’t help thinking if the election had been a week later, Labour would have won comfortably.

Morning Bhoys from a damp Central Scotland for the poster who is asking where in the Bible it says abortion is wrong.Try the ten commandments thow shall not kill.Anyone who has seen an abortion will know it is a horrible bloody murder of an innocent life I have no problem with any women who does not want a child that is there decision but rather than murder the innocent child they should put it up in my opinion for adoption.H.H.

  7. Hi Boys

Well last day of our holiday here in Corfu. My family and I would just like to say a big thank you and great to meet you to the very first and fine cqner we have ever met our very own PARK ROAD 67 and his wonderful wife E. Thank you both for the company and we hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday. We also look forward to catching up when you return. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the tragic fire in London. If I may say I have noticed sometimes on the blog a severe tone in the arguments. Just tone it down a wee bit bhoys cos if you ever meet one and other if PARK ROAD 67 is anything to go by you will enjoy the company and feel a bit silly for arguing and name calling on this wonderful Celtic blog. In the words of the song ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE.

    KEEP THE FAITH

Theres one BBC interview thats probably been taken down. A local resident talking about how the Kensington & Chelsea council have been pushing towards clearing the whole area of highrise and other local authority housing. Labour took the seat there in the election. Not saying they actually started the fire but now they maybe have that excuse ………..

Could you please advise me on something? My post @ 12:52 am early this morning has disappeared.

    Has it been deleted?

    If so, did someone complain?

  15. E-Tims mentions that Joe Ledley is available on a free then goes on to mention the old adage of not coming back to a club you left.

Has Celtic ever had a player who came back and did as well or better after leaving (Bertie Auld being the obvious one)

    Who were the worst?

  16. Interesting to see Celtic linked with Januzaj right now.

He’s certainly got unfulfilled potential and that’s something Brendan Rodgers has sorted out for many others (Coutinho, Sturridge, Armstrong, Boyata etc.)

Patrick Roberts is the priority but you have to have a backup plan.

  17. JOE FILIPPIS HAIRCUT it was myself who asked. If you ever find yourself in the position that you are pregnant I respect your choice to carry on and adopt a child out. However if you insist on imposing your will on any other persons free choice then we will disagree. I respect people who have religious views until the point they expect others to think the same. Otherwise we would have governance by right wing religious nuts see Iran, Saudi, USA and UK.

Bhoys as a Christian and a Roman Catholic I believe the Bible is the Word of God and as such I should follow it. It does not say in the Bible thow shall not kill unless you have been raped it says thow shall not kill period. All human life is important both the mother and the child but as an adult the mother has the capacity to make choices the unborn child does not. I suggest to anyone if you have not seen an abortion go and watch one it is brutal murder of an innocent I dont intend to argue my point of view I only pointed out for the poster who asked where in the bible he could find out about abortion where to look ie the ten commandments thow shall not kill. H.H.

  24. Ernie, life is all around us, all the time, every cell can replicate into another. When a woman chooses to bring a life from her body into this World that child has a life. What happens after that moment depends on other humans, at least for the next decade or two. Many children are born into lives of misery and abuse, which in my view a much bigger evil than choosing not to have a child for whatever reason. Making a child is relatively easy. Looking after a child is the only thing that is important, to me anyway. Just my opinion.

  25. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

I’m fairly comfortable discussing most subjects, but not abortion.

I can’t reasonably put myself in a position to argue for or against since it’s impossible to be in a position where I have to make such a decision.

Same as most people on here,I reckon.

  30. I know it’s sensitive issue but to put a bit of perspective on the debate there were over 185,00 abortions in England and Wales in 2016 – even if you consider that victims of rape or other such circumstances were an ethical reason then the remainder would still represent modern day slaughter of the innocence imo.

I see the CQN sweetie wives are out in force today…and someone suggesting we go along to watch an abortion…ffs…
