It’s a lot easier to improve a bad team than a treble winning team, but Brendan Rodgers has the latter challenge ahead this summer. One of his principle objectives will be to retain Stuart Armstrong on a new deal. As CQN reported this morning, good progress has been made on that front.
Loving the updates from the Celtic FC Foundation delegation, currently in Malawi with Mary’s Meals. You can follow the remarkable updates from LeftyBhoy here.
This work is being done in your name, with funds you helped raise. Keep an eye on what is being achieved.
Just landed for two days R&R in Belfast. Not been since the mid-90s……….. Off to find a pub and some rich culture…… Recommendations welcome but no messing!!!

Ebuoe Kouassi contracted Malaria just after he signed for the club.
Or maybes to be more precise, the symptoms started to show just after he signed.
Philbhoy…
Not at all mate, when put in the circumstances hearing my mate squealing there was only one option for me, I knew he was ready to jump from two up onto concrete.
Luckily there was no fatalities.
My prayers with all that went through the horrific experiance in the early hours of today. HH
Phil
Haha, windae is just open. Patience man!
Eboue arrived with a serious disease in January. Give him time. :)

Scott Allan is no longer a young prospect – he will be 26 later this year
Ryan Christie 22 & Liam Henderson is 21 – in my view young players
Incidentally Calum McGregor turned 24 today
Hail Hail
SIPSINI
You obviously have a story to tell. Or perhaps your friend does.
Mibbe on here one day soon?
Cowiebhoy
What do you think of McGregor as a player
Do you rate him
DELANEYS DUNKY
When you get to my age you don’t have enough time to be patient!
:-(

Too right. If there was a direct correlation between good looks and fitba ability, I’d be playing for the Celtic myself!-))
Just caught up with the horrific news from London, may those who lost their lives in this tragedy rest in peace and may their families be comforted in this terrible time.
Some one has to be held accountable for this surely to God..
Phil
Events like London tragedy, brings home our mortality. No matter our age.
God rest those poor souls and family and friends.
DELANEYS DUNKY
Agreed , but deaths and suffering that did not have to happen.
Someone should pay.
Starry Plough
I doubt anybody will be held responsible.
Those in authority merely shrug their shoulders and say ‘Lessons need to be learnt’. They are then free to inflict more pain on other people with their policies.
Brandon Lewis, Gavin Barwell….Tory slugs of the highest order….Profit before people.
I hope they are held to account, but i cant see it, after all, its only poor people in the richest place in England.
Tory government in hiding.
People are angry.
HH
There has to be consequences to this tragedy por cierto
WiTS
I think we are signing his replacement
Or at least I hope :-)))
Hail Hail
Phil
When will the sleepwalking public wake up and say enough is enough?
Heads must roll for this!
Cowiebhoy
I read earlier that Jonny was replacing Mackay-Steevens,James Forest,Paddy Roberts and now Calum McGregor
Sounds about right to me
One Dub = 3 Scots and a Englishman

Normally when there is a national disaster in any civilised country the queen/prime minister whatever turns up at the scene.
Mibbe Kensington was to far away for them to be bothered.
THE GREEN MAN SAYS SACK THE BOARD
I was out all day mate just catching up now.
Preventable to say the least and the residents were telling them for years..
Shocking to say the least..
Good night and God bless all those who suffered in London today.
And may those who needlessly lost their lives rest in peace.
Amen.
Phil
They vermin will be too busy worrying about the financial implications this fire brings.
DELANEYS DUNKY
I made that point earlier. A few deaths will upset them less.
Calum McGregor would walk into any other team in Scotland and be their MOTM 9 times out of 10.
Starry Plough
I cannot stand to see people are treated like this.
The locals said it was a ‘Death Trap’
Tories raking money off the backs of the poorest and weakest, private companies trying to maximize profit from social housing.
Its fked up.
HH
Happy Birthday to a young man who joined out club at age 7 , and is living the dream , singalong everyone …….CALL CAL ( That’s Amore) When your left back goes down , don’t be stuck with a frown call McGregor , if your man on the wing , he just aint doing his thing call McGregor , If you’re missing a spark in the heart of the park call McGregor , for no matter the role he’ll chip in with a goal CALLUM McGREGOR.
TGM
How many death traps are folk in Glasgow living in? Most of our multi’s have had similar redevelopment in recent years. Hope GHA were on the ball.
A wee season retrospective song . singalong if you can remember the original …. SEASON IN THE SUN . – We had joy , we had fun , we’re still laughing at the huns , an invincible hat trick , took our title run to six . We watched Moussa slay the hun , an double skelping of 5-1 , but we saved the best till last , with Tom Rogics touch of class . ( Repeat till next season )
The rumour doing the rounds in Lisbon was that Brendan had £17m at his disposal and we will pay £60k a week for the right player.
Has not had

I read in Knightswood Library that the Lincoln Ave, Kirkton Ave and Kingsway multi stories were constructed mid 60s with a forty year life expectancy. They should have all been down 10 years ago. They knocked 5 of them down. The remaining 14 have been done up wi new outer cladding and windows and new fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Are they safe though?
60k a week
Pay the fecking firemen that. More deserving than any footballer.

They were a bad housing model from the off
Nobody can consider themselves safe in tower blocks.
The grasping desire for profit at the expense of people’s lives.
Its sickening.
HH

Yet families of 5 and 6 weans moving to a Knightswood multi story wi three bedrooms and indoor lavvy wi a bath, thought they were in heaven. If you had just been in a one bedroom tenement in Partick, Whiteinch, Yoker or Maryhill wi ootside lavvy, then it would seem better. They all broke down in the 80s though. Thatcher brought crime to the high rise when all the local jobs went.
DD
Privatisation….jettison responsibility for communities, and steal national assets from the people.
BT, Post Office, Royal Mail, Utilities, Railways, Water..and so on.
That was and is theft….from all of us.

My family moved from Maryhill to Knightswood in 1964, luckily for us they were still building the Lincoln Road flats at the time and we got a house, my mother is still in it. hopefully they will knock them all down soon, the new flats they are building on the site of the ones they have knocked down are a much better way to live
If you look at the fires in Glasgow recently in the high rise flats,
In the Gotbals and another in Anderston they seem to have been safely refurbished as spread was minimal
I’m sure someone with experience in firefighting would know more
Barca bhoy who used to post on here said that Celtic don’t do business until new financial year which begins at end the f June
The tragedy in London once again exposed that greed and rampant capitalism overrides human values
So glad I’m not Tory tonight

We got a move fae Partick to Knightswood in 1971. Thankfully we got a semi wi garden cause of compulsory purchase by council. My mum refused offers of multi stories till they got fed up with her and gave her the house she wanted. :)
