Backlash needed for Highlanders

623

Three weeks after putting 8 goals past South Lanarkshire’s top team Celtic struggled to demonstrate their superiority against the county’s least decorated SFA member

We’ve seen these games before, East Kilbride looked no weaker than the Arbroath team who took us to a replay after drawing at Celtic Park a few years back, but neither performance was an endorsement of Celtic’s football.

I’m getting an uncomfortable feeling that teams know how to play Celtic. For most, this knowledge will not affect the result, but some, like Ross County and Aberdeen, will figure they can give us the ball all day, and as long as they stick to task, they’ll have a chance.

The only resolution to the ills of the last three outings is to get back on the field and boss a game the way we did several times last month. Ross County and Inverness both visit Celtic Park in the next two weeks and both need to feel a backlash. Let’s hope.

Hilarious exposure of incompetence got all to see. What a bunch of Amateurs at the SFA ..

Credit to Alan Macrae. He stopped it immediately.. No collusion in any jiggery pokery from him…

  2. What!!! We’ve got to play Dundee Utd away then Morton at home.

2 games when every other team only gets one. Cheating bassas.

  3. Leaving aside the total joke of an organisation, the eventual draw was a little bit kinder to us. And fortunately Triggers Broom have another couple of SPL hurdles to get through before the horrible possibility of playing them (for the 2nd time) has a chance of becoming reality.

  4. Sounds a good draw to me. A home game v a team no one dislikes.

So what if the Huns might get a home game. Still need to beat Killie away and if they so they may have another prem team.

No fixes in draws, it isn’t possible and statistically normal to have trends when the variables are limited

  5. Good to hear Stuart Findlay being praised for his performance v Sevco at the weekend. Didn’t see game but Jackson says he had a great game.

  6. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Jackson really has no self-awareness. “Cringeworthy” – no that’s calling Craig Whyte a billionaire!

Do feel you are somehow better than me? If so that’s quite Hunnish if you don’t mind me saying so..

I’ve given you an Honest answer I watch league games maybe 3 or 4 times given I attend Afc and a Dundee game and usually a least 1 at Parkhead if my son’s fixtures allow.

I’m lucky I can afford to go when time allows. I know great Celtic supporters who have time but can’t afford it. No less supporters than me… However I suspect you consider them beneath you..?

  8. That tie had probably saved Ronny in the short term.

Interesting that Derby have sacked Clements after eight months – he was seen, together with the likes of Cathro, as the new breed of modern coaches ready to step up to management.

Ronny has been in situ for twenty months – it is not an inconsiderable length of time in which form an opinion.

It is not unreasonable that many have found him wanting – he had a decent start but it is ‘dribbling’ away ‘ – very to similar to Clement but within a longer time-frame.

  9. Twittersphere has been in meltdown this last half hour. Including this gem from ole Darren O’Dea –

Just heard that IF we beat Dumbarton we have Juventus in the quarter finals of the cops del rey! Good draw.

I see Motherwell will find out their punishment for the behaviour of their fans in the play-off against Sevco

last season at Fir Park………..in 18 months time. Wtf?

*wonder if the original draw was Dumbarton/Dundee v sevco/kilmasonic.

Ironically the Wednesday before the SC games we host Dundee at Parkheid, wonder if Zico will rest some of his players before playing premier league opposition in the cup.

Wonder also will the kraysdales be at Parkheid for the cup game like they did the last time we played them in a cup tie.

Surely wee celtmasoul mccann will be there also to see the only team he ever supported.

    Inspiring story about EK.

I’m VC for Culter Youth. We’ve got 20 teams and 450 players from 5-19yrs and we are also a quality mark club .

We are just about to invest in a 4G pitch with Culter Juniors…

It is unthinkable that that could lead to the experience EK have had… But you have blazed a trail – who knows what lies ahead ?

I’m now even more excited that the pitch will be a catalyst for great things..

I’d have preferred a much bigger test, either to give everyone a boost for the run in or to finally put any arguments about ronny to bed

    How are you?

I just saw you were online, so thought I would pick your brain about something, if I may.

It looks like I may be able to get some time off at the end of March. I can get a flight to Dublin, but, spent some time on the weekend trying to find a decent, not crazy expensive hotels in Dublin. For that period, it looks like most , are booked solid, or are miles outside of the downtown area. Realistically, have I left it to late to plan something for Dublin/ Am I wasting my time looking further? Should I just go south and grab some sun instead (Turks and Caicos south … not Cork south?)

    Cheers,

Why are the media so desperate to have Ronny sacked?…Now touting McInnes to take over from him…

In all fairness, how can you legislate for a computer failure in he cup draw mechanism?

The cutting edge apparatus used is highly sensitive and reacts to even the slightest rise in temperature of the balls.

  20. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

McInnes could never be Celtic manager. Stubbs would be better imo
