Aston Villa keeper Shay Given, who started his career at Celtic, tweets: “That was a kick in the teeth for everyone connected with Celtic – gutted for them all. Fraser Forster was on fire as well. Great saves.”
Gutted, but if we can keep this group together they will learn from nights like this and we will be looking at a team that can compete in Europe. Big FF our MoM in my opinion. I think the game changer for us was the loss of big Sammi we lost that out ball and it just kept coming back in the 2nd 45. Our Bhoys looked shattered at the end. Roll on 2 weeks time at CP, I’m going back for it and I’ve got a ticket.

3 – 1 was my prediction and I feared worse.
To get pipped 2 – 1 by an injury time and somewhat fortuitous goal, I’d have taken that this morning and some…

Could have been so much better if only we could make the pass better out of midfield.
Wanyama was great as was Forster. We would have had the beating of most European team with that performance and would have got more men in support of any attacks.
Great progress and great to see James Forrest take them on.

Kelvin Wilson had his best game in the hoops, Ambrose and Lustig were immense and the keeper was David Marshall 2004-esque
Barcelona have tonight set a new club record of 18 home matches in Europe without defeat. Barca have also won their 100th Champions League game tonight, from 174 matches.
Not a bad wee team then.

Pretty sure Ernies question was dripping with irony.
That it took possibly the best club team in the world 93 minutes to get ahead of us is an indication of how far this team have .Well done Lenny and the Bhoys
Can’t believe I am actually gutted at losing to Barcelona!
Just shows how far our young manager and team have come on since Sion. Very mature performance and Neil set the team up exceptionally well. Lost a bit of shape after losing Sammi and pushing Broony a little more forward in 1st half. Seemed to lose our way which ultimately lead to their, what was a superb goal, in the first half.
After holding out so long, with big Fraser showing his class and finally a defence that is worthy of the name, I can’t remember being so gutted for our players and management team and as proud of them at the same time.
EC67- Chin up big man, their texts fulfil their small lives, see you on Saturday.

They are the best team in the world and they needed a last minute goal to beat Celtic in their own stadium.

I think Neil is getting a top team together. Probably better than some of us expected. On to the next game. :-/

ernie’s comment was obviously a dig at how we react differently to adversity in Europe.
We are all disappointed but, if you know the poster, give the comment some leeway as a joke.
Barca are quite good, though!
