I get your point although a centre half at the top of our budget would not have prevented the CL results so far. Again, that is my opinion.

  2. The problem is not Gamboa

    That winger is lightening quick

Gamboa also very quick, personally I think Lustig would be roasted out at right back.

  4. Not convinced about BRs tactics against these teams that are so much superior to us.To play only 3 in the middle is not great. They are too good.I know its not allowed to say anything about BR,but thats my thoughts.

4_5_1 and try to snuff out the midfield, especially when we are weak at the back. But,WTF do I know.Shut up TB.

    I agree 100%.

This is a lesson again tonight. Quick, crisp passing, great movement on and off the ball. They are 2 passes ahead of us in terms of thinking. We need to learn from this.

Lustig and Gamboa really struggling and KT ain’t much b better.

Still can’t understand long balls up to Griffiths; it just gives possession away!

  7. By the way, how much is Rob McLean enjoying this. Gamboa is playing against two very good and fast players. He is playing to his max, he will be replaced however ML will only end up being red carded against these guys.

  8. Considering the level of opposition, I think we’ve played not bad. We are minnows here, let’s face it. Anderlecht at home is where it’s at.

    COYBIG,

  9. Well, sadly predictable. Bayern are, like PSG, simply on a different planet from us.

Not sure what Brendan can do… They are pressing us high, making it nearly impossible for us to get out, and as a result the game is being played almost entirely in our half.

Paddy and Olivier working hard, so too Sinclair and Brown. Boyatta fairly solid but Lustig less so.

Gamboa reliving his Nou Camp nightmare.

  10. imo tonight we don’t need pace at right back just a decent defender who can defend against a good winger.

  11. This is all about damage limitation

P Roberts off for Ajer. Gamboa needs all the help he can.

LG completely out his depth. The balls not sticking at all.Id put Moussa

  12. Actually 2 yards. Incredible speed.

    Keep fighting Celtic.

Bayern have been immense, it has to be said.

Get a goal before 60 mins and we can do something.

They have expended a lot of energy with their movement. Hopefully we will get the next goal. Hopefully. :))

    Don’t stop Believing.

br can’t leave it as it is- we’re beaten from player 1 to 11. lg might aswell not be on the pitch. flood the mid

  14. The problem, again, is a midfield incapable of retaining possession and taking the pressure off the defence. It also means that the front three are virtual spectators as we can’t get the ball to them. The wide men need to track back, at the second goal there was a queue forming and Sinclair was strolling g back whilst his man gets a free header.

Gamboa is out of his depth against Coman but Lustig would also struggle there against that pace.

Boyata and Lustig coping as well as can be expected and there isn’t much danger from our left.

Sorry, I don’t have to make excuses for others decisions. I offered an opinion, if we had resigned Denayer ( as a few suggested) I would struggle to see what impact that would make.

Ralston and Ajer maybe the answer in a couple of seasons however we will need to see what prohresss they make at SPL level.

I honestly don’t see any other way at the moment. The CL is a closed shop to clubs of our level, we need to see if we are up to Europa Cup level and I suggest we are still a bit shy of that yet.

Still glad to support our club though.

  16. No sugar coating it.

    We are getting a roasting.

    Wave after wave.

Chris Sutton is in scapegoat bullying mode in isolating Gamboa for criticism. KT was slow on both goals to read back post threats.

I’d like to see us allow Paddy and Sinky to attack them and risk losing possession as, the way it is, we are not laying a glove on them.

Still supporting the team but that old realism just won’t take a break.
