Beating Newco the only language they understand

203

After humiliation upon humiliation, Newco reduced Celtic’s ticket allocation at Ibrox from 7,000 to 700 tickets.  Prisoners to their own fans, their board took action, knowing Celtic would reciprocate.  Celtic issued a notice at the time saying they would rather not play silly buggers (I think that’s how they put it), but Newco boxed themselves into a corner (a bit like their idea of visiting fans), their allocation for Celtic Park was also reduced.

A new era and a new season, both clubs seemed keen to revert to 7,000 visiting fans but Newco were worried that come 2 January, a winter wave could be in play, reducing or eliminating fans altogether when the teams meet at Celtic Park.  Unable to face their fans having permitted 7,000 Celtic fans at Ibrox in September if the same number of Newco fans were not able to cross the city in January, they capitulated.

The only lesson they actually learn is being well beaten by Celtic, no matter who is watching or refereeing.  Attempting to communicate with them in any other way is pointless, they will learn nothing and I include financial responsibility in that.  Get back to scoring five against them as a matter of course, they understand that message clearly enough.

When did Nicholson come out of hibernation, I missed it, a waste of money only outdone by Bankier

  2. Iniquitous,

How do you know he lied?.He probably meant what he said.

All this angst about the Board on here for years.Just what has it changed?.Never ending story.

I just watch the games.Seems that’s a lot less stressful, than beating heads against brick walls.

    Too many Wolfie Smiths.Sorry.

  3. Prestonpans,

One name of a Scottish mp, UK mp, Scottish or UK MSM person who’d risk their career in a face off with George Galloway?

Global warming is the new hoax from the same swamp of liars.

Shaking My Head Productions Dot Com wow.

One name, ANY name will do?

….all terrified of George Galloway, just think about that !!!

Only GBNews had George Galloway on one night a few months back and GG gave a woke shouty prk fae The Guardian fake paper, his ass on a plate, which was thoroughly enjoyable.

But that is what worldwide MSM detest, somebody who isn’t an easily conscripted mason.

That’s why George Galloway, and Jeremy Corbyn are pariahs to worldwide MSM.

Jeremy was hounded by the swamp of liars, crooks, mass murderers etc etc, and was eventually overcome by the swamp.

But worldwide MSM are fully aware that George Galloway is a NEVER RUN but shoot to kill MSM operative, and that is why the swamp is shit scared that Galloway’s “WPGB” overtakes blue-Labour, and provides “real” opposition to Tories who would know the difference between, compliant Sir Starmer puppet, and knock’em out former boxer Galloway.

But, I’d rather that Cellic supporters woke the f up and, untangled themselves from the PLC psychological arm lock, old firm “first” buffoonery, educated themselves about “why” Brexit is a working class dream, and a cult nightmare, good !!!

    Brexit isn’t right wing.

Ask “real” Irish republicans who want Irexit !!!

Being controlled by unelected EU bankers is buffoonery !!!

Off shore tax haven feck off !!!

Ireland needs rescued by Sinn Fein !!!

Poland wants to remain a Catholic country EU wants Poland to adopt a woke agenda. ffs

    Polexit tic toc.

The wrecking of the Catholicism aspect of EU’s approach to Poland will not be told by worldwide MSM.

So switch the liars off !!!

    So simple.

If you want politics that’ll make “your” life better, NOT the swamps, vote for the guy who is oppressed by the Scottish-UK-swamp and its MSM propagandists.

How many squirrels would’ve been paid off to the tune of hundreds of £ millions of “your” money by Scottish-UK-swamp to protect David Murray’s EBT-swindle if kick ass Galloway was in power?

Cellic and cults should never be associated. Never !!!

    You know what to do.

The late KevJungle was an avid listener to the blessed MON.

MON told every Cellic supporter that “The Slow Lane” were about to hollow out the entire club and put Celtic FC’s name to the greatest sporting cover up, ever.

MON’s face said those words, not his mouth.

KevJ was an avid student of MON, and I agree with him, that we “Marched With O’Neill” and now we can’t even stand up straight !!!

Who has sucked up this malaise, and left us without a hard stick to fight back with?

May they hang their heads in shame.

If you can get over yourself you’ll do what’s right.

  7. Inquit…. And what could Celtic have done to stop the 5WA….? Answer is nothing…. So we abstained by not answering the email.

    I honestly respect your opinion…

Please tell me what is wrong with the following…

Celtic, with their clout and power etc, could have put Sevco straight into the top league with a 10 point deduction … Celtic chose not to.

Celtic could have chosen to put Sevco in the old 1st division/championship but voted against it.

Celtic never had the power/clout to make the SFA put the new club in the very bottom of the pyramid and decided making statements would make them look like mentalists.

    Anyway…. 2 x 90 minute central midfelders required on January 1st.

This pash about being ONLY 4 points behind in January is nonsense.

If we win all our league games until then. we’ll be clear.

Great deflection from when Celtic were the sole super club remaining in 2012 and your man Lawwell could have pushed publicly and privately for referees to be appointed in a similar fashion to England.

Clubs were hanging to Celtic’s coattails, where Doncaster had to bring Lawwell to London to preserve the tv deal.

That’s how desperate it was for other clubs.

Referee reform should have been simple for the multi million per year earning CEO of Celtic.

But he sat on his derriere and did nothing.

And you had the brassneck to give him a write up on his resignation that Smithers out the Simpsons wouldn’t even have tried on.

Stupid is doing nothing when you had plenty of chances to do something, then complaining about it later.

RT UK news is where the truth is told, for the first half of every hour its news that imperialist news stations won’t go anywhere near.

Second half hour is a documentary or a show good informative stuff.

Only RT & Aljazeera covered Celtic fans presenting the collected money for Uefa fine, being presented to Palestinian good causes. They do a few documentaries about “The Troubles” here and there and lots more

Aljazeera news, did documentary about Cellic fans, it was advertised on CQN just the other day.

GBNews is mainly right wing, not folk pretending that its not right wing, there is no left wing anymore because they bowed to wokeism, Democrats in USA, Labour Party UK, have now become a party of pronouns, not the working classes anymore. Neither can be trusted.

RT, Alj, GBNews, they are the only 3 channels to tell truth about wokeism, and they allow a balanced debate about pandemic, but for me its GBNews over, BBC, ITV, Ch4, Sky news, GBNews has higher viewing figures than BBC/Sky news channels for eg, and they’ve only been on air a few months.

I read recently on some other blog that Ronaldo had scored more Champions League goals than all Scottish clubs combined. I don’t know if that is true or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

  15. Brian Wilson’s sequel to his original book on Celtic history should be worth looking out for.

It seems that some of the chapters address the following…

Celtic officially the first club to play on the moon

Won the inaugural underwater club world championship

  16. Pleased to see tony ralston getting a new contract well deserved too . He is one of the very few in that team of ours prepared for a battle , Carter vickers likewise . No doubt I will get pulled up but that is the softest midfield l have seen with Celtic , and although he is a very good player Callum McGregor for me is never captain material . I understand we are never going to have players like the Seville team ever again that team topped only by the lions ,no one bullied that team on the park and well complimented with height at the back ,steel and skill middle of the park and Sutton ,Larson and hartson up front , only present player who would get into that outfit is Joe Hart . It is where we are now buying on price instead of ability , continually buying wee soft guys when we badly needed enforcers to protect these players when we knew we had seen the best of broonie . We are up against it we all know that so we need to be a lot better than the rest ,on occasions we are like v hibs last week then on Saturday back to type haven’t a clue against a blanket defence made up of mainly six foot plus guys ,high balls getting played in to our wee forwards who had no chance ,even if the crosses didn’t get picked up by the goalie . Always another pass on the edge of the box ,instead of having a shot , Saturday passed the momentum back to that mob ,we are not out it YET but January window needs to be a good one with the right players being sought and bought we have plenty wee tanner baw players ,we need steel in that team , failing that we have handed euro millions ,and a total recovery to the mob across the city . HH

  17. jimtim on 3rd November 2021 7:48 am

I agree with pretty much all of that, my question would be who is selecting and buying these new players in the January window? If we don’t see any structural change at the club how can we expect anything other than more of the same average agent recommendations?

  18. Where has all this shock and angst about the Celtic Board endorsing and promulgating the same club narrative come from?

It was obvious from the start that this was what would happen.

I think people were maybe kidding themselves on that there would be a different outcome, fooling themselves because it avoided having to ask searching questions about what they were buying into.

It is what it is. You had a choice to make, you made it and now you have to live with it, because nothing is going to change now.

  19. ERNIE LYNCH on 3RD NOVEMBER 2021 9:24 AM

The tone of your post suggests (to me ) that you feel all who made the choice now regret it. I bought my ST in spite of The Board andstill enjoy watching my team.

  20. JIMTIM on 3RD NOVEMBER 2021 7:48 AM

Who, in our first team squad, do you think is not good enough and how much would he/they cost to replace?

Is Tom Rogic good enough? I know he wasn`t a couple of weeks ago but now he is ( and injured).

I think people have ‘moved on’ and accepted the whole Old Firm thing.

They were always going to, no matter what they might said at the time.

Fine, but spare us the outrage at what has happened. Everyone who has funded it is responsible for it.

  22. ernie

I agree that many have `moved on` just as they were told to but I was speaking for myself.

I decided to continue going to games with the exception of those against Sevco.

Overall, I am happy with my choice whilst retaining the same feeling for The Board as I did for Thatcher.

  23. ERNIE LYNCH

Your absurd and much vaunted claim that Celtic plc deliberately threw a league or leagues to aid and abet the “Old Firm” business model is repeatedly used as a stick with which to beat season ticket holders.

I for one do not share your madcap theory and I am sure the vast majority of ST holders don’t either. It really is the height of your trademark arrogance to tell supporters who have bought season tickets that they are “responsible for it”.

Like Hot Smoked, I buy annual season tickets for the love of Celtic and the joy of watching them play, win lose or draw. No amount of conspiracy nutjobbery from you will change that.

    Not in a million years.

  24. Two weeks today, at our AGM, all the NED’s who retire by rotation will be reappointed. As sure as night follows day.

Do they ever ask themselves what they actually bring to Celtic ? Do they ever consider that such position of privilege have a shelf life and maybe, just maybe, the batons should pass to fresh talent ?

The parking and transport infrastructure around CP has been a topic of discussion, and rightly so. Wouldn’t it be great if the board aligned with the support on this issue. Perhaps if Brian Wilson took his foot off the throat of the SNP for a second (The Herald today and every Wednesday) and made it his priority to improve the parking logistics and public transport around CP on matchday, some would view him in a more positive light.
