I like Alex Ferguson. He likes his football and cannot hide the respect in which he holds Jock Stein and the great Celtic team of the 60s and 70s. Like you and I, Alex is immersed in the history of the game here, a history he contributed significantly to at Aberdeen.
So, when questioned by the Daily Record on the potential shuttering of Hampden, his overwhelming reaction was for the loss of history:
“… leaving your history behind you
“You’re throwing away all that fantastic history
“history you are throwing away
“That’s a fantastic history
“history has been formed
“The history of Hampden is riddled with fantastic games
“We need history to tell us where we’re going”
No football fans are more immersed in history than Celtic fans, it sustained us through many a dark day, so these words will resonate with you. But fear not, there is a solution!
They can raze Hamden to the ground and have another venue BUY THE HISTORY! Why didn’t this occur to such a great mind? Buying history is a fairly straightforward issue in Scotland. I now own the Crimean War, which I purchased from a guy in Edinburgh last week.
The same vendor was selling the Renaissance, which I would love to own, as I would really like to have painted the Sistine Chapel in the 16th century, but he was wanting £1000 for that, and an internal voice told me I was being taken for a brainless clown.

They will be introducing a Sevco range of e-liquids.
Hopefully, they will come with a Liquidator!
Is Lord Darnley about?
You need to complete tie title, m’lud.
I recently met a lord in work and he was Lord K of Kingshope ( can’t remember his K bit)
So what’s it to be? May I suggest Lord Darnley of Parkhead :-)

ah the fish and chip debate, when i lived in scotland you said fish supper please, you would get a fish and also half a fish with your chips, when i moved down to englandshire remember going into a chippy fish supper please, what is that was the reply, fish supper please, then chap next to me says i think he means fish and chips, which by the way was awful .now this was cheshire, now in my job back then, i moved around england ,and the nearest fish and chips to what i had in scotland, was in yorkshire, they also gave you an extra bit of fish and the batter tasted the same.hh.
Big Packy,,
Haddock is best imo. New Zealand used hoki I remember. Kinda like whiting, to me anyway.
Haven’t had a good one in the States that’s for sure.

Best fish suppers in Scotland are to be found in The East Neuk of Fife, especially Pittenweem. No argument.
Took my dad out today for his shopping, my dad always buys the express.
I had a read at nicholas’s column.
He is being fed by level 5, what a souptaking bassa he is.
Came back to Celtic after his jolly in London then Aberdeen to freeload off Celtic.
MAHE THE MADMAN
Oh that’s a shame California was on my part of the bucket list but I got out voted by the wife and son!!.
I did get to Yosemite as a younger man back in 1994 after a summer working on the J1 visa coaching football at summer camp in Massachussetts.
I did a lot of hiking and camping in Yosemite including the half dome!! and spend a great few days in San Francisco!!
It’s on the wish list to repeat the trip to California and Yosemite (don’t think I will climb the half
dome again though)
I will indeed ask for your email bmcuwp and talk soon

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh sometimes it makes me want to tremble tremble tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Perhaps we all could take a minute or so to think about all
the members of our families and all our friends who have passed away this last 12 months.
Eternal rest grant unto them Oh Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon them
for ever and ever
Amen.

Ha ha nice one, the seagull sounds like some craic alright
ADI_DASLER,
I was told in Pittenweem that the chippie in Anstruther was the best place for fish suppers. Drove down from Pittenweem one Saturday evening. Can’t say it was the best ever.
Adi D
When I stayed in Knightswood. The fish van would arrive every Thurs afternoon. Fresh fish fae Pittenweem. Melt in the mouth fish. Nae teeth required to eat them. Loved his mussels and whelks also.
Merchant Chippie in High Street pretty good.
St Stivs The crowd should be well up for it tomorrow after 4 weeks away from CP and the GB will be outstanding as always. Hh

Did u try chippie in Pittenweem ?.
I admit I was only down at harbour but cant remember a chippie but it would make sense given they land fush.
Used to stop off at Anstruther chippie on the way back to Glasgow from games up north.
Chippie was ok, no more no less.
Used to stop at the pub in Anstruther on the supporters bus on the way up to games.
That was mental.
