HOLDERS Celtic will face Kilmarrnock at Parkhead in the Betfred League Cup second round. As Celtic avoided their usual away draw the option pf an organised boycott of the cup competition run by Neil Doncaster has been avoided.

Lucky this time Mr Doncaster.

Aberdeen fans do have the opportunity to boycott their away tie at Hamilton.

Sevco Rangers as expected got yet another home match in a cup draw in Scotland. It really is a remarkable record.

The ties are due a week tomorrow or Wednesday and Kristoffer Ajer could face his former Rugby Park team-mates only a couple of months after his loan period expired.

Brendan Rodgers’ men won the first leg of their historic domestic clean sweep last season when they hammered Aberdeen 3-0 in the Final at Hampden with Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Moussa Dembele (pen) on target.

Elsewhere, Dundee and Dundee United meet again after yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Dens Park.

Full draw:

CELTIC v Kilmarnock

St Johnstone v Partick Thistle

Hibs v Ayr United

Ross County v Motherwell

Falkirk v Livingston
