Celtic-Juve after two previous tight encounters

1074

Celtic will play Juventus in the last 16 round of the Champions League.  Juve are seven points clear top of the Italian league having won the competition last season without losing a game.  They eliminated reigning European champions, Chelsea, in the last round and finished above a good Shakthar team.

They are remarkably well organised and don’t lose many goals (10 in 17 league games, 7 less than anyone else), but this is a tie Celtic can plan for.  Juventus will present the same kind of challenge Barcelona did in the group stage, but they are not as effective as the Catalans.

Celtic have faced them twice in the European Cup/Champions League previously, winning both home games and losing away on each occasions, controversially in 2001.

I’m up for this one. Fairy-tale story with the lovable Celts the only British representatives in the quarter finals? Loins girded.

‘Due to the level of demand for the CQN Annual orders received between now and 2pm Friday will be sent special delivery to ensure they arrive on Monday 24th. Last chance for the Christmas stocking filler, get the CQN Annual here!

  1. Tom, and I think you are trying to make me look a lot more clever than I am.

How can we possibly put the Moon on a set of scales and weigh it?

I am happy to be ridiculed by you or anyone as long as they end up realising the DESIGN IN EVERYTHING WE CAN ACTUALLY MEASURE NOT THE THINGS WE CAN’T.

  2. FFM,

When they claim one thing that isn’t questioned?

I’ve lost 2.5 stones and life is excellent. Rascar Chocolate Maestro 85% really got me through the tough days. Going off the diet until going back to work and I will hopefully lose the other 2.5 stones when I’m back on it, so I can be seen as a CQN player who isnae puffing out his…

    FFS

I’m glad the Moon doesn’t need to lose weight, if it was a heavy Moon it would be howling like a Banshee.

Believe me when I say I wasn’t trying to ridicule you.

Scientists can establish the weight/mass of the moon and planets using mathematics and chemistry. Once they know the make-up of a planet and the size, they can get to the mass/weight.

    It’s no big secret.

I was just wondering why you see that ability as some sort of anathema.

Surely if God gave us the minds and the technology we should not be averse to using them to know His universe.

    No?

  4. Fortunes Favour Mibbes,

We are being lied to continuously, some lies are big whoppers but the masses believe them.

I am NOTHING FFM, Always remember that.

  7. When Scientists Kid on they have all knowledge they make the deception easier to swallow.

    IMO.

Question everything you are FED is what I’d say.

  8. Planetary mass is a measure of the mass of a planet-like object. Within the Solar System, planets are usually measured in the astronomical system of units, where the unit of mass is the solar mass, the mass of the Sun. In the study of extrasolar planets, the unit of measure is typically the mass of Jupiter for large gas giant planets, and the mass of Earth for smaller rocky terrestrial planets.

The mass of a planet within the Solar System is an adjusted parameter in the preparation of ephemerides. There are two basic procedures for measurement:

If the planet has natural satellites, its mass can be calculated from Newton’s law of universal gravitation (with use of Kepler’s third law to simplify calculations changing an elliptical orbit by circle one). The same procedure can be used for data from space probes such as the Voyager probes to the outer planets and the MESSENGER spacecraft to Mercury.

The mass of a planet can also be inferred from its effect on the orbits of other planets.

In practice, both methods are used. The ephemeris is a model of the Solar System, and the planetary masses within that model are adjusted so as to give the best fit between the model and the observed positions of the planets.

If You Capitalised the G for God I’d feel a lot happier. I’m a real stickler for that stuff. I’m hoping you and a few others can join me and Bobby to talk about Celtic amongst other things when we have a pow wow.

    Total speculation.

This really annoys me, it is obviously total SHIT.

No offence if you believe that Tom.

  11. petec –

You still haven’t answered my question.

Why would this knowledge be such a bad thing? What is wrong with scientists being able to determine these things?

You imply that scientists make this up to lie to us. To what end? Do you think such science denies the existance of God? I don’t see how it does.

Scientists measured the distance between Greenwich and the North Pole, from which the yard became a unit of measurement of distance. Do you think THAT is nonsense too?

I am honestly not having a go here. I just don’t understand your reasoning.

    Maybe I never will.

  12. Has anybody read ‘The Memoirs of John M Regan? Now that schools out, I’ve got about twenty books to read and I’m not too sure if I could stomach this one over the holidays.

Tom, I answered your questions by showing how ABSURD it is for them to determine these things that only GOD would know.

I have been telling everyone on this site, since I joined it what is coming. People destroy Kojo, philvis or anyone who doesn’t fit into a certain Celtic paradigm. That is not GOOD.

  14. petec –

    You showed me that?

    Maybe I missed it.

Anyway, 2 minutes till my Christmas holidays start.

Off to relax in a vineyard deep in New South Wales for 2 weeks. Don’t think I’ll be on much if at all.

Merry Christmas everyone on CQN and the Celtic family in general.

    Hail Hail.

  15. Tom McLaughlin

    Merry Christmas Tom.

I hope Christ comes into your life, I doubt he has really.

Who Am I to talk about anything like that.

These days can be Graced with your excellent stories that every CQN Man Woman and Child LOVE.

  16. Petec

    Who destroys Kojo?

Its nothing to do with fitting into a certain Celtc way or perceived ideology.

Personally. I don’t like racists, white supremicists or Neil Lennon haters.

    Kojo is all 3.

He used to annoy the frappies off me. But now I just find it sad that others entertain those views on a blog when I doubt they would from a personal aquaintance, friend or stranger in real life. It’s just sad.

Thankfully CQN as a scroll by option.

If you enjoy Kojo, then each to their own but please refrain from questioning those wo find racists and haters distasteful. Eve ones who appear to have a sense of humour and a lot to say on other topics.

  17. Drizzling but mild in the Chilterns…

Surprised by the optimism regarding our visit to Turin, Juve are one of the form Teir 1 sides, a real tough ask for the young squad.

I’d love to see them doing it, I’ll never forget MO’N’s reaction when he realised we’d beem cheated out of a victory in Turin and was sent off for his troubles.

Out counter-attacking the Italians won’t be easy I hope NL finds a way.

    Hail! Hail!

  18. Now you’ve got that off your chest MWD, a happy Armageddon Friday to you.

Somehow it sort of passed us by down here. Off on holidays now, got a last minute booking in a vineyard in deepest New South Wales, I hope they’re all friendly. Can’t wait to meet the locals, and get a few brews down my neck.

  19. Moonbeams WD.

You Judge Kojo, you are judging yourself. I’ve felt for a very long time, almost since I joined this site, that Kojo is a counterbalance to the site and he takes so much flak it isnae fair. I sense in my heart Kojo is a very fine person and would give more than that 15% of his earnings to help others but would never broadcast it.

Let that Big Chap do the judging and let us little people be….

Hold on to your hats until then.

I think there will be a be a tectonic movement somewhere because of the Planetary alignment, it has been relatively quiet above Australia over the last 7 days
