While Ronny Deila rested 10 players ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League play-off decider, Maribor changed only four players for their 3-0 win over Zavrc, who were three points ahead of them on the Slovenian league. Wednesday’s goalscorer, Bohar, was replaced midway through the second half, while Tavares came on for the last 10 minutes.
Whatever regrets Ronny has over yesterday’s defeat he’ll get over it when he sees a dressing-room full of players who have rested and trained appropriately all week.

Reading back it seems to me that there are a fair few posters warning us that we should not be taking Maribor for granted on Tuesday. Thanks for the warning folks, its’ a bit like some of those traffic warnings you get near Cumbernauld these days warning you of delays in the Maybole area. May be strictly accurate of course, but the fact is nobody had ever given any thought to it previously. Maybe it’s down to old fashioned public service, in which case can I just warn everybody in the Northern part of Ireland that there could be another cold night ahead.

You bandit!!!! :-)
Still undecided as to whether to record it and try to get home without knowing the score or ask for updates from mates.

The missus would much rather be at Parkhead too, it’s the weans that can’t be let down.
A thought for Tuesday.
Much will hinge on Celtic avoiding the cardinal sin of losing an early goal before getting themselves properly into the game.
A problem is that as once was notoriously said about a para military organisation, Celtic’s defensive problems really never go away.
I can see a CQN tifo appearing at the match……
Free the HT1!!!!!
He’s a Tim, get him in here!!!

MON THE HOOPS
Tuesday:
I’d leave Commons out again. Think Maribor would feed of Kris when he looses the ball.
You’ll remember last Wednesday Maribor appeared like a rudderless ship in the first half. Either unwilling or unable to press Celtic’s defenders when we had the ball. Their forwards shadowed us, two or three yards inside their half, but never committed to steal the ball. They stuck to this even when a goal down.
I’ve got this idea that Maribor had anticipated Kris playing and were acting on strict instructions to defend until our Kris “dropped” the ball when it was played to him.

I hope he is given the time needed to mould us, and time to develop the kids.
There is something about this man, can’t put the finger on it, but I reckon he is a top coach in the making, and I hope to hell it’s with us.
*agreed, I feel that he’s a younger version of Dr Jo….look at the way he was treated at Villa…came to us just a bit too late.

Let’s hope that CQNers are too busy cheering on Celtic goals to worry about that big guy :-)

It all makes sense now, Minx was on here a couple of weeks ago trying to give the kids away to a good home, now we know why, bless her she’s always thinking what’s best for you mate.
G65 is cold tonight_just took in the washing

That’s a mahoosive sacrifice your making and for you and minx benefit I really hope we win so you both get to see champions league football ;)

Hail Hail!
Good evening friends!
Is it just me or does anyone else think they will have trouble sleeping until Tuesday night?
More worries about mediocre Maribore. We cut them open numerous times and watched in bemusement as their clownish goalie and defence panicked at corners.
KC isn’t up to it in the CL but I feel we should try to play him in this game. He tends to excel when facing these qualifiers. He should then be sold and replaced with a younger model.
Dixie, unless you inject me with copious amounts of speed and caffeine, I will sleep like a tot. Maribore will be defeated.
Eddie/TBJ/Lennybhoy
It’s all about the result and please God we get it.
I don’t buy into the theory that we’d be better playing in the EL rather than the CL because of our limited abilities. In my opinion the CL is where the players, management and support want to be.
I still have one adult and one under 16 ticket available for Tuesday for anyone who needs tickets.
Hamilton Tim,
You are like a one man ticket office.
Tontine Tim
Time is what the fickle support are not willing to give, just look at the reaction to yesterdays game ffs.
Dr Jo was treated like shite by the media in both england and scotland, again he wasn’t afforded time.
Time will tell with Ronny, I pray we give him it.
LuboCSC
Aff oot, parade at the fiesta tonight, should be fun.
Oh and please no Anthony offside for this game.
Ole HT rightly lauded for gon to all the gemmes home and away…….Canny wait for the game on Tuesday “You must be the same HT”?…..” I’m going to see Ant n Dec that night”
Whit a walloper :O(

It makes sense for someone who may not otherwise get to the game to have the seat occupied mate.

Sadly I’m with you that KC won’t and IMHO shouldn’t start on tue.
If your suggestion is correct – and it makes sense – then will they come with a high pressing game a la
Legia. I hope not!
Tontine Tim
Like you I have a notion:hope that we may have an understated special one on out hands.

Good evening Sir.

Xavi on the bench for Barcelona. Now he can pick a pass. Any chance of a bid to sort out our creativity or lack of it. What a player he is. One of the best ever.
Of course HT,
I wasn’t mocking your efforts. Good on you.

I knew I could count on you ya lump a wid :-)

My job in Fife has been pulled this week. Was on the lookout for a brief for Tuesday. If you have those briefs available, I would take my granddaughter. Cheers.
BCW
I hear what you say but KC is our biggest goal threat and especially on the big occasion at CP.
KC nae use ..replace him with a load of run about dafties that cannae score
Xavi in the Hoops.
Player of my dreams. Along with his wee pal iniesta!
Sadly is he not heading off to the Far East to create a multi€zillion retirement pot? Or was it the US?
Sadly not lennoxtown!
