Celtic player luxury not afforded to Maribor

678

While Ronny Deila rested 10 players ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League play-off decider, Maribor changed only four players for their 3-0 win over Zavrc, who were three points ahead of them on the Slovenian league.  Wednesday’s goalscorer, Bohar, was replaced midway through the second half, while Tavares came on for the last 10 minutes.

Whatever regrets Ronny has over yesterday’s defeat he’ll get over it when he sees a dressing-room full of players who have rested and trained appropriately all week.

  1. Good morning all.

Thank you, thank you and thank you all again for the birthday wishes. Looking forward to putting this Maribor mob to the sword tomorrow night. I’m not overly confident but, with a packed hoose, we should have enough. Have these two guys signed yet?

Weefra HH praying to Wee Oscar.

Thanks, but I think that’s Sky Atlantic, which, unfortunately, I don’t have.

I’ve heard from others that it’s very good, though.

etc….have all said that the league will be better when Rangers FC return?

Yer beloved Celtic ‘bored’ called them – Rangers Football Club at last seasons Glasgow Cup Final. LNS was going to take back the trophies that they stole from Celtic and, other teams, the wee tax-case was laughed oot of court – nothing to see here Timmy. Oh, ah forgot, they were found guilty of, what was it – £250k’s worth of fraudulent activity or, something ‘minor’ like that. The huns will come back next season – playing the victim card and screaming that, in their exile to the lower divisions….they’ve lost the opportunity to earn upwards of £60 million in CL money over their 3 season exile. Not a mention will be made of the upwards of £60 million in CL money that they stole off Celtic FC before their exile or, the £140 million that BDO are shitting their troosers to reclaim or, theyd have done it by now. imho

Btw, the most sensible take on all of this pish was by the ‘reviled'(not by me) – Hugh Keevins who opined that, Rangers should be kept int he SPL with a 20 point sanction ‘every’ season until, the £140 million was paid back in full. But, that ship has sailed and the huns are laughing up their cuffs cos, they know that the most prolific opponent to them was Celtic PLC with their ‘dossier’ of all the stuff that went on. But, what good is a ‘dossier’ when, NO ONE has the balls to present it as evidence?

Oh, I said that – the huns ‘stole £60 million off Celtic – they didn’t!

The Celtic ‘bored’ agreed to look the other way – whilst it was stolen on the pitch. imho

    Hail Hail

Is that a bit of inside info or from media reports?

I have a feeling these are lined up ready to go but if it all goes to pot tomorrow night then they won’t be happening. Hope I am wrong. Would be good and a boost if they are brought in before tomorrow. We will see.

Slight problem with Keevins’ solution is that Rangers were liquidated.

So who would have paid back the 140 million?

Didn’t matter what league they were in, as far as payment of their debt was concerned.

    There’s a lot I assume.

There’s even more I’m certain about:

1)karma visiting the Newbies (like it did the Deadclub)

    2) European football for the Celtic

    3) 4-in-row

    4) When you add 1,2 and 3 together it adds up to Hurting Huns. Lots of them, tormented manic, like a dog scratching at something in its ear, it can’t reach. Of that I’m certain, not assuming.

    Have a nice off out.

  11. Kevjungle. Who actually ran the Glasgow Cup? To my recollection it was not Celtic. As much as I have seriously problems about how things are handled by the Board, I do not think they had any say in the ticketing, etc., for that game.

Better to have facts correct in this kind of on going debate.

I am cautious by nature and remember most of us thought we could overcome Legia Warsaws three goal advantage in our home game now we all know we were fairly easily beaten 0-2.Celtic will have to be at there best to dispose of Maribor tomorrow an under par performance may well see us dumped out of the CL so for me it depends what Celtic turn up and Rony getting the team selection right.H.H.

  15. 67heaven

Both signings will go ahead but feel if we lose tomorrow and go into the Europa then we will probably sell VVD to cover the cost.

  17. I desperately hope I am wrong but playing a reserve side against ICT was wrong.

We lost 3 points, more importantly we lost the opportunity to get our ‘1st’ team playing as a unit, something we needed to do for tomorrow.
