  1. Does anyone know, or know how to find out, if NL has the best domestic record in pro football world history?

    Must be up there

  2. Even with Europe, Bolton n Hibs, I’d bet he would be top 10.

I think we’ll win the league again if WE ALL keep the faith.

  4. BRRB – No seen you on for a while unless I have missed any posts.

    Hope you are well sir.

You and your drinking buddy DD.

    D :)

  5. Quiet on here ……

Hopefully that means all guid Tims are content :-)

Remember …. when some are complaining about Neil sitting with his face tripping him … that’s just Sky TV influencing your opinion … like every “newspaper” showing a snarling Neil Francis … don’t believe everything you see ….. Sky will never show Neil coaching or encouraging from the sidelines … that’s not a narrative that suits …. but each to their own, nobody should complain about the media then follow what they want you to believe

  6. Drew1967 – Andy aye there’s a few St Tams bhoys on here.

Dont get mixed up with that Adi Dassler fella, he is wan for a watching.😂

    D :)

  7. A few of the Irish bhoys rate Shane Duffy, watched Open Goal this week Si Ferry interviewing Aiden McGeady and Aiden rated Shane … Scottish football is a different sport and as another poster mentioned Paul Elliot, Marc Reiper & Kelvin Wilson were slow burners … all 3 should have stayed …

Shane Duffy will be good for Celtic

  8. GFTB,

We’ll agree to differ. I always find his posts well thought through and he gives his reasons if he has anything negative to say. He is also positive about Celtic if he finds it positive- the Lille game for example (I think anyway 😂).

It’s a blog and discussions should be able to go both ways.

    Enjoy your evening 👍🏼

  9. Hello again all you young rebels.

Just wakened, not read back yet but I assume the blog is a happy

    place?

And why wouldn’t it be ? Celtic back to playing the way we’ve all

    known they can.

Players full of confidence and what about THE GLIDER ? big

handsome Tom just oozes class slipping balls here and there

effortlessly, need to keep him fit.

The same effort and a good result on Thursday and the jitters of

the last few weeks will be forgotten.

So on we go to ten in a row and a quad treb.

    Now where are they aspirins?

No bother with me either … I have grew up with Celtic fans that are always unhappy, one of my mates fae “Cambusnethan” which is never Wishy :-) doesn’t like Broony … he is Celtic daft like your good self we should all keep posting … but … also if other posters think it’s negative negative negative … shoorly we are allowed to say … I think some posters have “went” for our manager but that is just my view … I love Neil player & manager so maybe I am biased

  11. MH

Stay within the rules … of the blog

I read things differently… drip drip drip … we won … but

We all read posts differently and that’s what makes the blog … but lately I think Celtic fans on here get “slagged” for supporting Celtic … we have lost ONE domestic game … things could be far worse :-)

    ===============

    we are.

I just watched the game, caught up on the blog at the sametime.

the lack of miserable neil lennon disparigers was really noticeable.

all celtic and neil need to do is win everything again,

then they will moan about tactics, subs, formations, ………..

    rinse repeat

  13. CORNELIUS on 1ST NOVEMBER 2020 10:42 PM

Don’t know if Ryan Christie’s post match interview has been shared yet.

his body language tells the experts he is not happy , he didnt even celebrate his goal.

    hahahhahaha

  14. Watching the game at brekky was a good start to my Monday. Lots to like about the first half performance.

2nd half, I thought our mids were all over the shop and outrun by their Dons counterparts.

Not sure why – at 2 up – it wasn’t worth getting Turnbull and Klimala on, esp as Rogic and Eddy looked leggy.

Re recommending Ferguson… NAH he’s all perspiration & zero inspiration. Plus tanning Ajeti was v hunnish.

Good energy 1st 45, need to bleed more of the bench in won games.

Dee-lay-tid we’re in another Final. HH

  15. I don’t think there was complacency in the team or slowness in the subs; I think that’s just the fear and angst of the spectator again.

The second half was slow tempo all round. Both tems slackened off and they did not lay a glove on us. Other than to give people a game or to rest others, today’s game did not require a tactical sub or a fitness sub.

Apart from Nir Bitton’s brain fart, they never threatened us and Aberdeen played the type of unadventurous game they usually reserve for Sevco.

Great to have a Hamden final again and another chance to serenade the virtues of Andy Halliday

  16. Quadro

You mean to say you did not stay up for the game?

    What a wuss looool.

  17. MM….as nice as u r…Tom Rogic will not b henceforth kown as The Glider…

I thought the “Celtic” fans that have went for Neil would have at least come on and gave our manager a bit of credence … any Celtic fan that thinks one of our most influential players since the year 2000 doesn’t understand tactics ??? Away and gie me peace

I hope and pray the day that Neil leaves is when Neil decides ….

By the way keep doing what your doing your pictures are a pleasure … and cheers for the ticket offer a few Decembers ago ,., was appreciated

Hope that doesn’t mean we are on some Celtic clique …. I always thought CQN is a cracking Celtic clique 👍

I think the poster you mentioned has very little positive to post about Celtic, but within the rules any poster should be able to post … but I think one of his posts didn’t set well with a few posters and when reading back .. it’s a post no normal Celtic fan would make … a blog open to all should also consider its viewing public … but again I think from day dot that posted has constantly dripped, dripped, dripped negativity about Broony, Neil and all the low and high blocks you could imagine … :-)

making a comment about a hunger striker’s ghost, well that was beyond the pale, for me, and some others.

    ——————————–

Terence James MacSwiney (/məkˈswiːni/; Irish: Toirdhealbhach Mac Suibhne; 28 March 1879 – 25 October 1920)[1] was an Irish playwright, author and politician. He was elected as Sinn Féin Lord Mayor of Cork during the Irish War of Independence in 1920.[2] He was arrested by the British Government on charges of sedition and imprisoned in Brixton Prison. His death there in October 1920 after 74 days on hunger strike[3] brought him and the Irish Republican campaign to international attention.

  20. Paul Wilson csc on

That was more like us today, credit to Neil and his team in the dugout, and the product that they put on to the pitch for us. That was grand to see, and Neil is positioning our club, to an unbelievable level of achievement that’s within our grasp.

    Possibly, 10 in a row?

    Possibly, a fourth successive treble?

And the possibility of the icing on the cake…

    10 league title’s in a row, in a ‘5’ treble’s in a row season?

This is madness, when you put the above into a mindset, like mine, a mindset that’s consumed by, since 2012, consumed by, confusion, mistrust, betrayal, collusion, duplicity, the retention of the status of the Old Firm games, no matter the level of deceit deployed to achieve this, the lying to a, well intentioned Res:12 group, based in principled structure’s, and driven by doing the right thing, the absolute Celtic way, with honour, discipline, a level of incorruptibility, probably never seen at Celtic Park, since the day’s of, Walfrid, and Stein, and time travel forward to 2020, and it’s difficult, well it is for me, difficult to deploy which emotion, to filter the proceedings concerning our club, from 2012 to, 2020? How should I feel after eight year’s of betrayal from those who control the corporate level of the club, on one hand, to a trophy haul beyond our dream’s if you transport yourself back to the early 1990’s, when we hadn’t a hope in hell, but we hoped anyway, that’s what we do, but the feeling that these trophies are being somehow used, to cover up for the corporate corruption, collusion, and betrayal, makes me feel that these trophies aren’t being won by us, but that their part of a, grubby, corporate deal, with the prime objective of those who, curried up the deal, to placate us, like nurse Ratched’s bed time pill, which leave’s a, confusing, mind altering, unpalatable, taste in the mouth.

P.S. l absolutely love the possibility of, Neil Lennon winning our, 4th, and 5th, successive treble, in what could be a 10 in a row season, corporate establishment permitting.

I haven’t post on here in about, 3 year’s, because I was swimming in a sea of, apathetic, betrayal, as described above. I also had to add “CSC” to the end of my blog pseudonym, to allow me to log in again.

    Till next time, KTF.

I cant remember the ticket offer, must have been during my “lying in a spital bed” period.

    hahahhaha

i never ever ever understood anyone that posted about the clique.

what they meant was “your good celtic supporters and we dont like it”

    keep it lit GFBT

  22. Saint Stivs,

To be fair on the people who have not been happy with the tactics, we are playing better since we have changed tactics. Maybe they had a point….

    ——

    And on tactics…

Can anyone explain to me why changing to a 3-5-2 after Christmas helped us win the league yet we have struggled with it this season and are now reaping the benefits of 4 at the back?

  23. MM

I hope that copy and paste didn’t include me … WITS brought the horse to my attention and the story behind it before the horse had run … when the jockey was asked I was all chuffed that through WITS I had read about the story …. 12/1 … didn’t matter the story was far more important

  25. Shape of the team, and tactics deployed, I always think are really simple ………… it is what players you have available, …… and their own strenghts and weaknesses.

i feel none of us would pick the same starting 11 as neil and the coaching staff,

however they see the players evey day, we dont.

    it was ever thus.

Think you got my email fae Lennybhoy the gesture was much appreciated but family & friends always had “”spare tickets” if only we could go these days ..

The offer was still appreciated 🍀

  27. MAJESTIC HARTSON

Maybe just the fact of new players not settled/fit ?

    Covid ?

    injuries ?

    No fans ?

Don’t really know, but you can see the confidence is back

Lenny and the backroom staff should get the credit for that.

  30. Horse named after Terence MacSwiney wins big race in England

Jim Bolger owned MacSwiney victorious a day before centenary of former Lord Mayor of Cork’s death

    Sat, Oct 24, 2020, 16:43

    Ronan McGreevy

A horse named after Terence MacSwiney has won a race at Doncaster in England a day before the centenary of the former Lord Mayor of Cork’s death.

MacSwiney, owned by Jim Bolger, won the Vertem Futurity Trophy at odds of 12/1, holding off the favourite, One Ruler.

MacSwiney died on October 25th, 1920 while on hunger strike in London’s Brixton Prison. He went 74 days without food and his death made headlines around the world, focusing global attention on the Irish fight for independence.

The namesake horse also has a reputation for endurance and made light of heavy ground at Doncaster to record the surprise win.

When interviewed afterwards by At The Races TV, Bolger said: “I must have known he was pretty good in January when I called him MacSwiney. He’s one of our outstanding patriots.”

However, jockey Kevin Manning told Racing TV that he didn’t know who the horse was named after, to which the commentator suggested “Jim will be furious that you didn’t know”.

As a result of his win, bookmakers have halved the odds on MacSwiney winning next year’s Epsom Derby from 40/1 to 20/1

The Terence MacSwiney Commemoration Committee in London will hold a small wreathlaying ceremony on Sunday at Brixton Prison to mark the centenary. It will be broadcast live on their Facebook page.

The committee said it remains “determined” to honour the memory of MacSwiney and will do so next year once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
