  1. Apparently Killie showed too much respect to newclub – translated as – we won’t get away with kicking them like we do with Celtic.

That is rubbish to read … as per usual thinking about others

    take care

  3. Haha Adi..was actually bang in the middle of Jordanhill though could count one hand the folk from Jordanhill who went to it. most of school was from surrounding areas Knightswood,Yoker Scotstoun Whiteinch and Partick.Local rivals were Victoria Drive or VD who im proud to say never beat us once in my 4 years of playing them

    Hail hail brother

  4. Continental trebles

This list includes clubs who have won their country’s top-tier league and the primary cup competition (the double), in addition to the major continental tournament, all within a single season. This was first achieved in 1967 by Celtic, winning the Scottish Football League, Scottish Cup, and European Cup. They also won the Scottish League Cup that year, making them the only team in history to win the domestic treble and the European Cup

  5. Neil must stay :-)

By the way like every other Celtic fan I was gutted with Cluj last season, and Ferenvarocs (sic) this season, in fact I was sick with both … but the posters who “keep” reminding of us of these defeats seem to never give Neil credit for many terrific Euro away results and the fact he topped the Europa league group with a game to spare against the same Cluj team that his team was already through …. the CL qualifiers are difficult … but surely we can’t go season after season winning trophies but still pull a “Cluj” or a “Ferenvaros” or should we … always be unhappy ??? The Neil Lennon, dislikers, didn’t want him on the first place, or just unhappy Celtic fans at the very minimum give credit when it seems he is an easy target 99% of the time …. by the way surely Neil’s supporters can back him up when the “told you so brigade” would be first on, if we didn’t win our 35th cup game in a row today :-)

  6. Tet agree, we finally the right personnel for 4231 and then stopped playing it.

Game management easier for compact shape and possession to frustrate and probe the last third. I prefer 4 up front to 2😉

  7. New world records –

    Celtic

First MENS club to do a treble treble (PSG did a double treble in the early 2010’s.

First club to do a invincible treble.

  8. Bobby Charlton was one of my favourite players as a bhoy, he had some shot on him and yet big Frank saved a penalty fae him at hunden.

Apart fae being a WC and Big Cup winner he was also, at the age of 20, a Munich survivor thanks tae Harry Gregg who pulled him out of the wreckage, this may have set back a lesser man.

A terrific competitor who had nae time for George Best and his theatrics, rarely congratulated him when he scored a goal or contributed tae one.

  9. Fine performance all round from the Bhoys today, against a half decent Aberdeen team. Bit more settled at the back with Shane and Nir, and Bain for his all round game. Two great goals with Rogic involved in both. One game away from a fourth treble, who says there wont be a Christmas this year. Not me.

  10. Lest they forget.

  11. Celtic ‘achieving greatness’ – Neil Lennon as Celtic reach another final

Neil Lennon has “never questioned” his Celtic players and does not know why “other people” do after they moved to within a game of a quadruple treble.

Celtic beat Aberdeen to earn a place in the Scottish Cup final on 20 December and, should they beat Hearts, they will claim a 12th consecutive trophy.

Sunday’s 2-0 win at Hampden was a first in five games for Lennon’s side.

“It’s never been seen before so I think they should be cut a little bit of slack,” Lennon said of his players.

Celtic one game from quadruple treble

“I’ve never questioned their character. Other people do and I don’t know why. It’s an amazing achievement if we can do it.

“These players, their focus, desire and will to win is one of the best I’ve ever seen. They’re achieving greatness as they go along and sometimes that gets a bit overlooked at times.”

Ryan Christie scored a stunning opener for Celtic and Mohamed Elyounoussi slammed in a second before the break, with Tom Rogic having a hand in both goals.

It was the Australian international’s sixth appearance of the term after a summer move to the Middle East fell through.

“He’s a class player,” Lennon said. “He’s had difficulties with injuries. It’s been very frustrating for him but we know what we’ve got with him.

“He’s a joy to watch at times and that was the case today. He just showed his class in big moments.”

No wonder NFL wants to sign Diego permanently.

  13. Saint stivs-do you think none of our football so far this season has nothing to do with our set up.That it’s all the players fault 😉

Our boss being cute again 🤷‍♀️

  14. I love Keane’s attitude, maybe a shite manager but he says what most fans are thinking.

Some of the comments over the last 30 mins could easily apply to Celtic squad this season.

    Great stuff

  15. Irony.

I see there is a lot of angry discussion about me not having a poppy on today. I have done work for PoppyScotland in the past and have absolutely no issue wearing one. Normally this begins on the 1st of the month. I do have an issue with people feeling forced to wear one though.

    ………………

I used to go there for Saturday lunch time sessions in the late 60s to see Maggie Bell, Jim Dewar, Les Harvey, Jim Mullen & Brian Robertson who went on to play with Thin Lizzy.

My parents heard so much about me going there that when they were out one Saturday night for a wee do with my Aunt & Uncle they went there for a drink just to see where I was spending my time. The next day they told me that immediately they went in (to the basement lounge not the music section at the back) a wee man with a goatee beard came up & fussed over them. They were so out of place that he gave them the round on the house. They left & never went back.

They never bothered asking me about again either.

  17. FB, playing catch up, busy yesterday-ish , and out today .

    that was funny bud.

the Old Burns Howff was a running joke on the blog way back .

Take some obscure name, refernce , comment, and somebody would say “i remember seeing them in the old burns howff”

  19. Watching the Spurs game, Kane jumps into the Brighton player on the edge of the box. Looks a foul to Brighton, ref gives foul to Spurs, VAR reviews and says it was on the line, so penalty. Kane scores..
