I that was my dad on BT before the game, had a great night, raving about the dressing rooms and the basket of fruit that Celtic give visiting teams.

Said Greg Spence had a big mark on his leg from Craig Gordon.

That hyper he is watching the full game again which he recorded, as he wont sleep.

  9. Morning all.

Celtic through to the LC semi-final then, but it was hard going.

Over 30 shots, but only a third on target; 70%+ possesion, umpteen corners…

    Draw tonight.

    Wonder who we will get?!

    Bring on the Ayrshire huns.

  10. I see a lot of posters writing-off St Johnstone for tonight, and assuming Celtic will face Aberdeen in the semi-final. That’s two big assumptions. Let me ask you this. How did Rangers fare against Alloa in the quarter-final? I can’t seem to find the result anywhere.

  11. I was dissapointed in last nights display, more so the first half, without naming names, which does no good, that was a very lazy and lackadaisical performance from several of the first team to say the least, and I’m sure BR noticed that too, he did not look to happy at the start of the second half, and no wonder.

In my reading of Celtic players body language, it was along the lines of…ach we’ll get a goal on our next attack, I’m afraid like most things in life it doesent work that way, you’ve got to work hard and be honest and professional about your job and also respect your opponent no matter who she, he, or they are, disrespect in any form of life is as far as I’m concerned ignorant, before we go on this journey to where ever it takes us? These players must be taught that and stop reading press clips about themselves.

To be honest and humble needs no skill or education, it’s a part of life that many forget and need to take a step back and have a look at yourselfs, those players where not enjoying themselves last night, many where just going through the motions practicing individual skills, well that’s not on with this manager, it’s a team game, I said I wouldent name names, but I’ll make an exemption for the young lad Christie, he did more team wise in the time he was on the park than any other player last night, only my opinion.

  12. What in the name of the wee man was Craig Gordon thinking, making that idiotic lunge at the Alloa player? Had all the hallmarks of a player lacking in confidence which impacts on his decision-making.

I hope BR perseveres with de Vries as his first-choice keeper for Saturday.

  14. My friends in Celtic,

As preparation for our upcoming CL games, I thought last night raised more concerns than any answers. Our scoring ratio to chances created was very poor to say the least.

In the CL we may only get a couple of chances, we have to make them count. I do not think we would have lost 7 goals against Barcelona if we had scored with our penalty. Yes we may have still got beaten, but not by 7.

On occasion I have been critical of the GB ( and probably will be in the future ) but last night they made the effort to go and supported our team for the full 90 minutes plus. How much they contributed to our two late goals, allied by our superior fitness we can only guess.

Brendan has much work to do, but I am confident he knows what is required.

    Yes.

    Well said , Tony.

    Common sense.

    The exception………Tierney.

He understands. And played extremely well.

    No star syndrome for him.

The best description I ever heard of big Jock came from a pal of mine.

” He just talks so much common sense ”

What the absent and lamented Kojo used to describe as ” uncommon sense “.

  18. TD67 excellent post I was thinking along those lines myself but credit to you, you got there first, chapeau doffed. H H Hebcelt

Given a bit of time , they`ll all get it.

I remain supremely confident that Brendan will see that they do.

  20. SOS ! Due to tech probs I can’t get Twitter or YouTube for now.

Can someone explain why Aberdeen fans are going be clapping Huns on 12th minute ?

Also, if someone can also advise me what those Aberdeen stickers say that they apparently plan to have in their ground for the visit of Sevco ?

I hate missing out on any fun at Sevco’s expense.

    Please help I’m desperate !!!!

  21. Big Jimmy –

No idea about stickers, but the 12 minutes applause is to signify the year of their founding . . . 2012.
