    Barca are a great team but Neymar is a diver and Busquets was calling for Brown’s red. Unpleasant. No excuse for Brown’s kick though. We could have won with 11 players on the pitch.

    even though the players you mention may not have done much going forward, every single one on that park contributed to Barca having hardly a sniff of a chance for the first 60mins… compare and contrast, to after our idiot of a captain got sent off…

     

     

    FF was our best player for the last 30mins.

    Looking back at the sending off, as I was watching Scott having the kick at him the ref had out the yellow card and I was shouting at tv take the booking don’t walk away but I still thought we could get result as the crowd would settle for a draw and not push forward

    Ambrose: Reasonable

     

    Virgil: Good

     

    Commons: OK

     

     

    Forrest: Good

     

    Pukki: Decent

     

     

    However …. it was Barcelona and we might even have won it. Gaun the Hoops!!!!

    Broony’s card may have been harsh but he was still very foolish and probably cost us at least a point.

    Fantastic organisation but our best players’ touch wasn’t quite there. Barca created almost nothing. We had the best chances of the match.

     

     

    Scott Brown, dumb and unnecessary kick out. Italian referee a disgrace. Are small TV audience nations not allowed to have corners against wealthy nations any more? Every time against Juve and Barca the whistle gets blown immediately the ball is struck when its clear to a blind man the defenders are doing the fouling. Must be a UEFA dictat I missed?

     

     

    Foster, world class. Sort out the kicking and England no 1.

    Until Brown’ s stupidity, we were doing ok.

     

     

    Everyone played to their level and it is no surprise that FF, Efe, Virg and Sammi were our best men.

     

     

    They are normally our best players.

     

     

    The rest are SPFL standard.

     

     

    Money talks and tonight it said,”Hard luck, bhoys”.

    Disappointed as always when Celtic lose. The defence were immense and meritorious mention for big FF with a couple of world class saves from the big man. No excuses we were outclassed for long periods although we restricted their goal scoring opportunities.

    Brown doesnt have the latino street smarts so beloved by continental referees and gave it to the ref on a plate. With 10 men no chance.

     

    Samaras and Foster outstanding.

    Izzi gets drawn in time and time again. We know that, so did they. Ultimately all the players played well. Brown played well before his brain fart. Really let us down.

    Not going to defend Skoosh as such but Neymar – he ain’t no Messi and looks like he never will be. We look like we belong in this company and at least I will drink to that despite my broken heart tonight. Glasgow Celtic – always have been, always will be. Goodnight all.

    Mikeybhoy, commons was posted missing at the goal, izzy was the only defender all night without cover, Adam covered michael all night, izzy was exposed by cris not making it back all night, Sammi covered izzy more than cris did and n was the lone man up front.

    Foster; 9/10, Brilliant, could do nothing about the goal. Absolutely greatest saves you’ll see.

     

     

    Lustig ; 8/10 Top class game, booking insured he had to go when we were down to 10 men.

     

     

    Amrose; 8/10, Excellent defending, comfortable on the ball, but got caught in possession a couple of times.

     

     

    Van Djik; 8/10 Defended with style and strength.

     

     

    Izzy; 7/10 Did well, was restricted going forward.

     

     

    Mathews; 6/10 Put us under pressure by losing ball to easily, similar to Milan game. Not his favoured position, did well when put to right back.

     

     

    Brown; 2/10. The game is not about you !! It is a team game. You let the fans down, more importantly you let your team down. You destroyed all their hard work.

     

     

    Mulgrew; 5/10. Bad distribution, Couple of good free kicks, missed a sitter.

     

     

    Commons; 6/10 Quiet night. Covered a good bit of ground.

     

     

    Stokes; 7/10 Starved of the ball, but popped up in defensive when needed.

     

     

    Sammi; 9/10 Worked his heart out. Could have let it go earlier, but his work rate was top class.

    Proud of the team but not of Broonie. His petulant kick let his team mates and the fans down.

     

    11v 11 would have seen us draw at worse.

    IMO not a “kick out”, he hasn’t “lashed out”. Bit of gamesmanship as his run took him past. Silly but overly punished. If he was going to kick him should have made sure it was something to warrant that reaction. Neymar looked like he’d had his back kicked right off. Tommy Gemmil against river plate, that’s a kick out. Onwards to the next game.
