hahahaha you New Amsterdamsters get a few wee bits in one post hahahaha …Braw! but am off to dream about being a Tennis Star..

  2. Why do we not waterboard the SMSM until they tell the truth?….

    Makes sense to me…

  3. PJBhoynyc

:)) You talk too much sense at times – you’d never make it as a politician :))

On top of that, the water supply in Scotland wouldn’t cover the job. Not enough lochs.

It’d be like trying to bathe Jabba in a puddle.

Me and Jim Murphy were colleagues at one point….

    Our aspirations were similar.

I wish I knew your wisdom back then…

    Ain’t that the Truth.

Time is the most precious commodity

    :0)

  5. PJBhoynyc

:)) Nah nah, water is ! Clean water !

Re politicians, the ones that start out to do the right thing are surely the ones that can survive.

Another example of a failed system.

I’d suggest revolution, but to do so would mean my arrest under the civil disorder act or summit similar, in this fine upstanding country with the best democracy in the world and whatnot :))

But I agree that to some extremet waterboarding might be the answer. Just a question of who comes up with the technology to shake the oceans first…….and has the propaganda machine in place to make it look like a natural occurrence…. :))

  6. macjay,

:)) Chuck from the JSD played with them for a bit. But how can you expect to last as a three piece band when one of you is carrying around all that baggage, in the form of a ginormous mandolin…

Wish I’d been around the Weedgie folk scene in the 70s – if only to sniff out the secret service spies at the Star Folk Club….

    Fuds.

You’re alright ! In Australia, the only thing their secret service power trippers are looking for is that you have a minimum bank balance of 3000 dollars. Here, they’re STILL looking for signs of non-conformity. It’s an element of British society that is contributing to the conclusion of the fall of the British Empire. Irony in real time, while in 300 years the new Australian Superwealth dominated 3rd world land of Europa will still be struggling to deal with the inexplicable divisions between the desolate villages of Birmingham and Manchester who will hate each other due to a north/south divide that they don’t quite understand.

Bit of a rant there, apols. But I’m right. :)

  11. Hibs fans caught up in Algarve clashes

    Sunday 7 July 2013

TROUBLE flared at Hibernian’s pre-season clash with Nottingham Forest in the Algarve last night, with the two sets of supporters involved in violent clashes.

A tense atmosphere in Vila Real San Antonio erupted 35 minutes into the match when around 100 fans confronted each other at the metal barriers that separated the opposing groups.

The makeshift fences were then used as weapons as riot police waded in to force fans apart. The situation was calmed when Forest supporters, who outnumbered the Hibs contingent by around four-to-one, were penned into a small area of the main stand.

Hibs lost 2-1, with new recruit Owain Tudur Jones scoring their only goal against Billy Davies’ side, who opened the scoring with a Dexter Blackstock penalty and re-took the lead with an Ishmael Miller strike.

Celtic suffered a second successive defeat, going down 2-1 to CFR Cluj in Kufstein, Austria. Florin Costea put the Romanians ahead after nine minutes. Neil Lennon fielded a line-up that mixed experience with youth. Defender Calum Waters, 17, made his debut for the senior side and Mikael Lustig came in for his first appearance of the tour.

Former St Johnstone striker Gregory Tade was involved in the opening goal after nine minutes, setting up Florin Costea to curl a shot beyond Fraser Forster and into the top corner.

Cluj doubled their lead just after the hour when substitute Pantelis Kapetanos fired past Forster from 12 yards. Beram Kayal and substitute James Forrest went close before Georgios Samaras pulled one back with nine minutes to go, converting a Forrest cross.

Celtic’s Champions League opponents Cliftonville lost 1-0 to Welsh title winners The New Saints in Belfast.

Partick Thistle lost 2-1 to Gateshead at Durham City’s New Ferens Park. Trailing 2-0 at the break, Alan Archibald’s side stepped it up in the second half and John Baird pulled a goal back eight minutes from time. Christie Elliott lashed a 20-yard shot over the bar in the closing stages.

    ” 3rd world land of Europa ”

    Have to disagree.

U.S.A. and Western Europe will recover their pre-eminent positions in the world,as U.S. and U.K. recovered from the depression of the `20s.The major political European powers,Germany and the Soviet Union ultimately fell. They are now largely in step with U.S.

See Putin`s reference to “our friends in the U.S.”

The big caveat? Control of mass migration.

Obama just signed up 11 million new Democrat voters.Mother Theresa or Machiavelli?

    He`s no mug,that man.

Most of the large populations in the East are governed by primitive political processes. It won`t be long before their populations decide “no more”.See Egypt.See Turkey.

How to circumvent the rules………………… then the trials and tribulations of preparing for Brora Rangers

A new season means a different set of conundrums(by the usual cheats) for Ally McCoist.

The Rangers manager spent last summer pulling a team together from the chaos of the liquidation of Rangers Football Club plc and before a registration embargo began. Now, he has more new signings to integrate, a squad to trim, and decisions to make about which of the arrivals to play as trialists in the coming weeks, since they will only officially become Rangers players on September 1, when the registration embargo ends. A routine pre-season must seem like a luxury.

Last week, McCoist defended aspects of the last campaign. On occasion, his team performed timidly, drawing criticism from their own fans, while the full-time status of the players did not seem to convey the fitness advantage that was expected against part-time opponents. Rangers ought to be better prepared this time around. It is progress that the manager can field his team in pre-season matches.

They begin today when Brora Rangers host McCoist’s side, who also face Elgin City three days later. It is in these matches, and the training sessions in between, that McCoist will begin to form his plans. Up to six players are likely to leave and the search continues for two centre-backs and possibly a back-up goalkeeper to add to seven players who have already joined.

Trialists can play in competitive games but the number per match, and the number of times each can feature is limited. Cammy Bell, for instance, is first-choice goalkeeper, but Scott Gallacher will need to turn out in the opening games of the season. Brora Rangers will constitute a test, with former SPL players Ross Tokely, Stuart Golabek and Richie Hart in their squad. For McCoist, it is the first of a series of challenges.

Seriously off topic but someone (forgotten the username) posted a week or so back trying to contact a TMcF who had lived in various parts of Inverclyde, had worked in Jersey and had married a girl from Port Glasgow. Now, I met the long lost Tony tonight, told him the tale and he is very interested in renewing the contact. So, if Tony’s friend is out there, please be in touch.

  15. @celticservant: Lenny on Wanyama money “We’d be looking to extend the contracts of the likes of Gary Hooper, Joe and Sami.”

Should we not be in a position that we can renew these contracts without relying on vic leaving ?

Seems like we are getting small hints that if we get 12m then we probably wont even spend half on new talent.

Im not suggesting blowing it but would like to see us sign 1 or 2 young players with great potential, might cost 3/5m each but surely it will be worth it if they progress similar to victor.

Beautiful, languid Sunday morning in the bay where the millionaire yachts seriously outnumber the local craft. Maybe a festival on that I have missed?

Michaelis, my local fisherman friend, returned to home last night and fresh, line caught Tuna steak is on the menu for this evening.

I would love to get excited about young Mr Murray’s chances, however I fear he is just unfortunate to be born in an era where Federer, Rafa and now Novak dominate. I hope he wins but do not expect.

A trip to the pharmacy beckons as antihistamine is required to supplement the ole EC67 defences against the dreaded Mozzie. I dont mind the the bites just now, unsightly as they are, ole EC67 baring blemishes not witnessed since pubescent young adulthood, but I do hate when they itch during your Christmas dinner.

Right first a wee swim out to have a gander at these massive space age craft idling in the bay.

Which course are you gracing this morning? Is it the Royal and Ancient Langlands? I’ve heard the 7th is a near impossible Par 3. Have you ever played it?
