supercelt – you may be right but I hope not, don’t think our record starting with Commons and Forrest is a good one, it lightens up the midfield (as in lightweight), a wee bit too much imo..

Sadly there’s plenty in our support who act like this on a weekly basis, I’m not a fan of JF but I’d never boo him, if these guys think the players of today are bad they certainly weren’t about during the macari and Brady years

I don’t care what anyone says, celtic this celtic that. This player that player.
I’m just delighted we have won the league cup.
Tonight I don’t care about the league
I don’t care about the Scottish Cup.
Tonight, we have the league cup trophy in our possession.
Delighted.
As I said.

I’d normally have said something but didn’t because I had the missus and her 14 year old son with me.
So I did smile when her patience snapped and she turned and told them to shut the feck up :-)
Anyways onwards to the treble!!

not the evil empire, we will speak no more of that incident, mind bleach and a beer required. Watching the game back, I honestly feel the pitch had an effect on the run of the ball. Skipped and bounced unnaturally at times. Think the game will have taken a lot more out of them than us.
Ah. The quiet satisfaction of a Celtic cup victory. Another major honour in our unbroken history since first taking to the field in 1888
The prospect of a Cup quarter final and an unexpected league race keeping things interesting. The SPFL looking in decent shape. Two big clubs from Edinburgh looking set to strengthen it next year.
It’s all good.

I gave my Cup Final ticket away this morning. I drove to Motherwell early to see my mother for Mothers Day. She didn’t recognise me. Some days she days, but today I heard her ask my father, “Who is that man who gave me the flowers?”
Heartbreaking.
My younger brother was there too and he said he couldn’t get a ticket. My father said he was looking forward to the game on TV. I gave my bro my ticket and he raced to the Railway Tavern to catch his mates.
Seeing my elderly and infirm parents sitting on that couch, my father hurting as much as I that my dear mother didn’t know me, I decided I’d watch the game with him.
He was the giant of a man who took me to my first Celtic game. Who lifted me over every home game and most away games. I can never know when either of them will be taken from us, so I can easily give my brother my ticket and spend a few hours with him, enjoying the game together. It surely isn’t much to ask.
Just as I write this, my mother looked across at me and said, “Oh Thomas when did you get back from Australia?”
Her memory comes and goes. My father told her I had come to watch Celtic lift the cup on the TV.
He is rubbing his hands in anticipation.
“How long now Thomas?” he asks.
Just an hour and a half, I tell him. He sounds like I did going to games as a young bhoy.
Hail Hail.

14 cup finals still to go for us this season.
This could be a very special season.
3 games With Dundee Utd. Possibly 3 with ICT. It won’t be an easy ride.
I felt sorry for Sean Dillon today. There are many much worse. I thought we got a fair deal from the MIB.
Hopefully huge backing for our team on Wednesday as Cifti and Utd will be hurting after today and Stefan missing. MIB may not be as balanced.

Not making it an excuse but gave up my season ticket in 109 (lower) in line with 18yrd line old jungle at the Coatbrig end of the ground (huns end) because of the idiots about me, we can all have an opinion but as my wee mum used to say “I’d you have nothing good to say try saying nothing” only got ipad for 5mins so young GFTB has told me to get off her iPad and putting it away so I can’t go on when she is in her bed (bedtime 8pm) so hopefully I might get back on, still not read back so everybody take care & Hail Hail
