  1. Couldn’t fault Boyata’s application, effort and commitment today. We looked a different team (or at least, defence) with him on board. Can’t be easy facing up to 50,000 who are all doubting you. I haven’t thought much of his behaviour these last couple of weeks, but credit where it’s due.

As to the banner, it was puerile stuff. You hear often enough that ‘the club is bigger than any individual’ and the chance was there to get behind the team as opposed to decrying an individual, a test that the Green Brigade failed miserably. Sometimes their banners are so brilliant, you have to wonder where their occasionally spectacular lack of judgement comes from. Today was another example of the latter.

Just my opinion, after a bottle of red Corbieres, and damn fine it was too, but today the Green Brigade did not speak for me.

  2. And just to round off a good day – lunch at Coia’s, a home win, a bit of redemption for a Celtic player – Neganon comes on to really add to the mood. Great.

  3. I never have, or would boo any player wearing a Celtic jersey, but Boyata left himself wide open for it. You don’t refuse to play for the Club I get it that some gave him stick, but a banner? Bigger issues than this on the go for me

    ……

  4. Canning said he was ‘disappointed with the result….’…seriously? His GK was still time wasting 1 goal down with 8 minutes to play. Can only hope they go down…..along with ratboy’s Dundee…

  5. Just seen the joke that is Dallas Jr at Hibs v Sheep game….how is he a ref at this level…..oh wait….

  6. Well nearly in Inverness just the shortish drive to Forres to do. See you on the other side. BTW thanks to Malorbhoy for his company today. He introduced me to a ghuy called Stephen, after 5 minutes we both decided that we had met before but couldn’t remember where, then he put his wooly hat on and I rembered it was in an Irish pub in Rome in March watching Murderwell v Us.

  7. Malorbhoy thank you , your a ghent xx

Just home from game , I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I have to say the booing of a Celtic player, at home by his own supporters saddened me greatly today, I dont like what Boyata has done but could never boo a Celtic player . My personal view for what its worth.

    Marspapa xx

Lennybhoy and Norrie get well soon

  8. No issue with the Green Brigade banner today. No issue with Brendan’s decision to play him.

The fans pay to make their feelings known, the Manager is paid to get the best out of his squad. Next week I suspect their respective positions on the whole affair will not be too far apart.

I have got to laugh at some of you.

    Auldheid in particular.

You can complain all you like. But the people who run Celtic have completely shafted you all. They didn’t give a damn about the cheating and they have obstructed any attempt for justice. They have colluded with our enemy.

Or perhaps after all we as Celtic supporters are the common enemy.

Stop bleating about the bbc, the cheating, racism etc unless you are willing to deal with the enemy within.,

    ==========

As it happens Celtic are now in the position of proving you right or wrong thanks to Res 12 efforts of which you know nothing.

If what started out as an honest attempt at cleaning up the game puts Celtic in the dock, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

  10. NEGANON2 on 26TH AUGUST 2018 11:08 PM

My point in posting the Regan/Gordon interview was not to bleat, but to demonstrate what we have been up against. The SFA CEO tells an outright lie and the BBC guy accepts it as the truth.

    That is the problem.

The only people who can do anything about that are Celtic and the opportunity to do has been put in their lap.

  11. Empty the park

    Sack the PLC

Get Corbynistas on the new board

Run the club on a meritorious basis

The main cash flow comes from season tickets

the PLC wont be missed √

Don’t be saying ye wurny telt!

    Good luck.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzz

  12. Celtic FC should never, never, never

be beholden to a PLC clique.

    Clique’s are anti Celtic.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Delighted at getting the victory yesterday.

Special Hail Hail for people like DENA29 and POGMATHONYAHUN who left early morning and didn’t get home till well gone midnight.

    That über-dedication!!!

  14. One thing is for sure :

” The Celtic jersey does not shrink*********

Well that statement has been blown right out of the water.

Maybe the water was at too high a temperature. Happened to me once,wi a wool sweater. Wouldn’t have fitted Action Man after a boil wash.

  16. BMCUW

Yeah, the longest and hottest wash cycle will shrink the jersey to embarrassing levels. Lol

    HH.?

I obviously don’t know the truth of the Boyata situation, but his ability is not being questioned, even though his attitude is up for debate.

I think he has been hard done to by the club-if verbal agreements carry any weight-and ill advised by his agent. But he has also shown a total lack of gratitude and respect to BR,who put his career back on track.

I’d sell him now for as much as can get. I’ve rarely known a player to put his body on the line as he runs down his contract. A sad end for him,IMO.

Rainlashed? Bank Holiday here-see if you can guess what the weather’s like?!

  19. I’m in the standing section and although a minority of the GB were booing Boyata, he was also being bood by a minority behind and to both sides of me. I can’t say what was happening in the rest of the stadium. The banner was fine for me but not the boos. It bears repeating that the GB indeed don’t speak for the support as a whole and the don’t ever make that claim, just like anyone that posts on here doesn’t speak for the support as a whole. As far as I could tell the GB were singing most of the time when Boyata got the ball, so weren’t inclined to boo.

  20. I’ll be Bach @ Celtic Park on Thursday, God Willing.

The Green Brigade have made a Sevco type banner IMO – Personalising a current Celtic player is not on.

Brendan Supported Dedryck so much, Brendan played Dedryck when he felt he needed to.

Dedryck was way out of order with what he done.

Brendan is the Manager. He knows more than anyone, the Players.

If the rug is being pulled from underneath, there is no doubt, Big Boyata has Nerve.

Unfortunately Celtic is too soft @ the moment and they are susceptible to a shock League loss.

I mused why the Team has been leaked so early ever since Brendan started his reign.

  21. Unlikely but I’d play Bain against Sevco next weekend.

I just don’t trust Craig Gordon…. with the ball at his feet.

  22. Gorbalstam good post.

Let’s move on guys, Boyata knows he was in the wrong and I am sure the green brigade will be right behind the team come Thursday.

We have important games coming up, let’s close the ranks and move forward

    Hail Hail

Hope you and The Emerald Prince had a blinder.

    Did TRICLOUREDRIBBON manage along?

  25. I really hope Celtic Park is Full EVERY game if we get to the Group stages of the Europa League.

Some Awesome Clubs to play against potentially.

Brendan needs help to really Freshen up the Squad.

The Beancounters have no idea about Fitba players. Players need as long a break as possible.. Celtic Players are getting the least Break Time.

This Window has been utterly shambolic. Another £40M forsaken. Or is it the Almighty calming down Everything? Madonna is just a Material Girl really into kaballa.

I hope the 3 French Lads are fit for Sunday.

  26. Bank holiday weather report. Clear skies and glorious early morning sunshine here in Xabia. Life’s Good.

  27. Just as the real weatherman speaks a nice blue sky appears over the Garden of God (Garngad)
