Lol I love the slagging of the GB here today.
It’s as if those guys hadn’t decided on their banner until they heard the team selection and conjured it up in the bathroom whilst waiting for the kick-off.
They made that banner days ago … and if Boyata hadn’t featured in the line-up there is hardly a single person on this site who would not have agreed with the sentiment.
There’s being forgiving and there’s Sevco level self delusion.
That’s right wait to write something negative it’s your nat king Cole you need ya clown. Is it true that you and neganon got asked to leave the pub because the happy hour was starting..

From AgentScotland.
Allan McGregor will be a very lucky man if he’s not cited by the compliance officer, he absolutely knew what he was doing when he smashed his elbow into Peter Hartley, saw his chance and took it.
Having seen it again it only gets worse, McGregor sees Hartley lying on the ground and as he’s falling drives his elbow into him, there’s absolutely no question about it, tasteless at the best of times but to do it to defenceless man already on the ground is sheer cowardice.

I personally thought boyata should never have played for first team again and made to train with reserves and been an unused sub in matches for the remaining year of his contract, see what that does for your international career, but that’s just my opinion, obviously BR and or the board think otherwise.

And on another note Celtic By Numbers is what it says on the tin .. don’t care if Broonys “stats” aren’t as good as last years “stats” sometimes the human effect is a bit more important … Broony leads the team and if you ever notice whether it’s a young Tony Ralston or a new signing like young Jack Hendry our captain looks after them giving them a few early touches fur confidence and helps them through the games, he does it with the exkerinced players as well … nothing against CBN but that’s all it is, stats, they take the human element out of it and afraid the human element wins trophy’s the stats will show this :-)

It amuses me when some people say we are back to the Ronny D days. Ronny’s team scored 8 against Hamilton. I suppose Hamilton are set up more defensively now, but still … Scott Allan played in the second half when we scored 8. I’d like to see him given another chance, he can play a forward pass. But I don’t expect it to happen.
What is the Stars on
I saw Gordon Strachan on Sky Sports on Friday ( I think? ) On a programme called The Big Debate ( or something) and listened to what he had to say about Celtic and the current situation. When he was asked about Brendan Rodgers criticising the team after the Sudova game he diplomatically said he would have liked to have heard Brendans comments live as what was being reported sounded VERY UnBrendanlike.
On Boyata he said that the transfer window is a terrible tense time for players and management. That he himself fell out with players during it and a few weeks later they would be the best of pals again. Players are only thinking about getting the best deal for them and their families and who could blame them.
On the Celtic Board he was interesting, saying that they have a duty to look after the institution of Celtic Fc ( not just for the 60,000 who turn up regularly but for millions worldwide who are part of the club) He said they couldn’t over spend and risk the future of the club ” As other clubs have done”.
All in all he came across very well

I agree with you. Thought the banner was a play on words anyway, and didnae mind it. The booing of a Celtic player by our own, well pissed me off.
Sitting in a poor Chinese Buffet in Glasgow, killing time, until I get the bus back up to Inverness.
I thought we were very pedestrian today and once overpassed the ball to death.
Or problem is simply the defence. They fanny about too much at the back and are far too slow in turning defence into attack. I lost count of the times Griff and Moussa signalled a run and the ball went back or sideways.
Moussa was skilful and busy today but his end product was ineffective so no MOTM for me, that goes to The Belgian.
Now I want shot of Boyata as much as the next man but he was wearing the Hoops today, and won us the game. So all you fannies who boo’d a guy in the Hoops at CP ask yourself this: to your knowledge did Boyata murder, rape or sodomise someone? To your knowledge has he beaten up his partner, been caught shooting up heroine in a public toilet or broken into someone’s house and stole their telly because I’m sure some of you fannies who boo’d a Celtic player doing his job (for a change ?) are guilty of at least one of the above.

Just back from the game. Totally dominant but our lack of cutting edge in the final third is worrying. The type of turgid football that we saw for much of last season, difference today was we got the win whereas last season we would probably have drawn 0-0.
Dembele/Griffiths doesn’t work as a partnership, if its 2 up front then 1 of the 2 has to be Edouard.
Don’t agree with booing of a player but totally agree with the sentiment of the GB banner. He shouldn’t have played for us again after refusing to play when we needed him (although the precedent was set last season with Jozo) As for those who were clapping and cheering him every time he touched the ball, deary me.
In fairness to Boyata he played well, as did Ajer, KT and Dembele. The rest were average at best.
Right back, centre half and midfielder desperately needed along with a clear out of those who don’t want to be there.

Wasn’t it the self-styled Green Brigade who had a banner not long ago supporting the manager?
The same manager who, despite having a team full of midfielders, threw his toys oot the pram when Big Pete focused on selling Dedryck and not signing ‘Jack’ McGinn. A decision which directly interfered with the career and life prospects of a player who has shown a fair amount of dedication to Celtic over the past few seasons. Who was being unprofessional, it wasn’t Boyota in my view, it was the Celtic manager. And as for the Green Brigade booing the player in these circumstances, Tony from the Brazen Head had their number, the actions and the behaviour of the primary school playground, a step up from the pram, but only just.

Not too long ago, he was not a favourite. Who knows perhaps that has affected the guy’s decision.
More likely is the fact he kicks a ball for money. Why shouldn’t he go to where he can earn more ?
I thought it telling that then players ran to him today. If as reported he is the guilty party, then whuy would his co-workers support him so publicly ? If he was the guilty party in all this, his actions will have cost his team-mates 10’s of thousands, following our CL failure.
The real issue I have is with the club, specifically in not doing what they’ve stated in the past about preparing for and building towards CL qualification.
Someone is culpable, of something, I just can’t fathom, why Celtic have did nothing since January ? I would like the club to reveal why.
