Neg Anon 2 17.14 The only way to get change at Celtic Park is for the supporters not to attend games but as most of us are season ticket holders the Board will still have our money also as supporters we wont boycott the club as we should. The fact is we need a consistant boycott at the end of the season and dont renew or seasons deprive the club of money and you will get rid of P.L. and D.D. its a case of you must hurt the one you love and we Celtic fans wont do that.H.H.

  3. NegAnon2,

Awe Naw is convinced the board is in it to keep rangers alive. I think he thinks Neil Lennon is our only hope as he thinks he will be a standalone voice at Celtic Park who will want to kill the hun.

I’d rather we aloowed the board to gamble on another manager than gamble on Neil turning it around. Neil may get a result in the next match but we all know this is likely to lead to an assumption by the players they dont need to try as hard – net result another draw or a defeat.

  4. Tom McLaughlin on

    Eyes Wide Open –

I suppose they had to give it to someone, but I thought Wilson was absolutely dire.

  5. Neil Lennon may well jack it in tonight and if he does he will get my blessing. Who next John Park ?

Hibs were beaten by him a few days ago away from home. It’s not good but I am not about to jump on the Clyde and Real radio bandwagon.

    Hear, Hear M8!

I fear that things will have to become worse than they are at present before the penny finally drops that, we as a club are heading for the wall and do you know what makes it worse for me……

We as fans/customers/turnstyle-fodder are actually paying the charlatans who run ‘our’ club to, drive us toward a slow car-crash!

    Just Can’t Get Enough ?

    Enough is Enough! IMO!

I’d have left it out and put it down to an oversight.

Then again, id probably have done that for the match report.

  8. maybe neil lennon could turn things around but we can’t take the chance. it was him that got us here 12 points adrift. why should we stick by him, he got us here. we should not be in such a state…

  9. Neil Lennon for the good of Celtic has to walk away now. He had the nucleus of a good team last year that only needed supplemented in certain positions ahead of this season. Instead we have had to endure erratic team decisions and poor signings

    SUMMER SIGNINGS

    Forster is a poor goalkeeper

El khadouri is a poor defender

Wanyama has been our best midfielder in the last month yet has been benched by Lennon?

Kelvin Wilson looks ok, but had not played competitive football for 6 months when we signed him

Bangura is possibly the worst centre forward i’ve seen at CP

    DECISIONS

Mark Wilson was reliable at right back last season yet was benched for the best part of this campaign so far

Majstorovic is unreliable yet is consistently trusted as a starting player

Loovens is unreliable, gets binned after a poor game then is bizarrely recalled back to the team then dropped again?

Ledley has been one of our better performers this season yet has been played everywhere bar his best position in centre midfield

Commons who is our only genuine creative midfielder has been completely binned to the detrement of the team

Ki is technically gifted but has the heart of a mouse

Cha du ri is one of the worst players i;ve ever seen, yet is considered as trustworthy

Hooper is struggling for form and has had no service from midfield

Stokes can score but has had no service from midfield

Forrest looks promising but like Ki has no heart

Samaras who played in that embarrasing Ross County match is still being trusted

Scott Brown misses at least a third of each campaign to injury yet is trusted & considered central to the way we play

12 points behind in October and a team with Schitzophrenia

    Time up Neil!

  10. NO heart, NO dig, NO ideas, No tactics, NO sense of urgency, NO changing it after 5 min of the second half when it was evident that it was just the first half all over again.

I Hate to say it but Lenny and his team may have managed their last game absolutely disgraceful performance, players have chucked it and are going through the motions and are running their mouths in the paper pretending to have the club to heart they have no idea how hurt the fans are by this shambles.

Its an utter disgrace that the orcs could get a 10 point deduction still be in front on and the last couple of weeks performances they’ll still win the league comfortably, I dopn’t even know where to start, with fixing this mess.

And Gebhoy to answer your question i’d take any experienced manager at the moment as much as I love him the Lenny experience is turning into an abject failure.

  11. That’s one thing u don’t see every day, a clean sheet.

Am going to try and stay oot of here, have a pain in my chest

    Good night all

  12. The big guy at the back....of Neil Lennon on

Gutted yes but not at all surprised.

Unfortunately, that is as good as this collection of players are under the current management team and that level of performance will continue until major change takes place.

Like all Celts, I would have loved to see Neil Lennon succeed, given everything he’s had to endure. However, there is not even the slightest hint that he can turn this around. The players are an absolute disgrace and have hung him out to dry but that’/s the nature of football management, so he has to carry the can.

Any chance of improvement will come only from a change of management team. And I fear Lenny will have to walk away, as the Board don’t have the “toy dolls” to sack him.

    What a shambles.

    Hail hail

  13. In a season of low’s this is as low as it gets…..RIP….

I suppose the apologists will be out in force backing the manager, the Board and the shenanigans at Celtic Park. I have listened to everybody waxing lyrical and when the AGM was on a few weeks ago the Board were given too easy a ride. Gutless. Gutless from our more vocal supporters, our team, management and Board.

Do yourself a favour Neil. Walk away mate. Save yourself. You cannot polish a turd but even your attempts to roll it in glitter have failed. Forrest aside, Hooper and Commons (does he still play for us?) and Kayal and Ki and a fair few more have been shown up for what they are this season. Spineless money grabbers. Hooper’s not only lost form but lost the plot…our entire team is ALWAYS injured and i wish to god we had a REBOOT button like this PC. Coz this is a terminal virus/crash. An apology of a performance in a woeful season.

    We’re friggin f*****

  14. depleted squad means we have had to rely on these players week in week out – midweek games , weekend games , tough games! tiredness surely would creep in – you could see this with forrest, ki etc today. Give the players a break – the injury list is horrendous AND MUST BE A FACTOR!

onwards with Neil Lennon if he has the support of the players.

Easy fella – remember these blogs are about debate.

Everyone is allowed their own opinion. Its then up to you or those who disagree to argue yours.

Remember if everyone was constantly singing from the same hymn sheet – there wouldnt be anyone here after a few months

  16. This team offered so much last season……..

Now 12 points behind and a real lack of heart of the park…..can’t get my head round it at all.

I really hope and pray Lenny turns it round.

But if he decides it’s time to go then we should call 1 man – Mark Hughes.

He doesn’t mess around and his teams are always strong and commited.

  17. Neganon and others

Despite agreeing with you sentiment I think you are straying into dangerous waters by suggesting we hurt the club in the pocket and force a financial meltdown to get rid of the board. Your final objective may be honorable but the method you infer could do permanent damage to Celtic.

I don’t have any thoughts on how to achieve what you want without endangering our future. So is there a middle way?

    Totally Agree M8!

We have to put the tools away until the charlatans from hierarchy level are gone! IMO!

  20. Larsson and McStay on

7 wins from 12 league games with a substantially bigger budget than 10 of our 11 rivals.

3pts behind Motherwell , 4pts ahead of St Johnstone……looks to me like the players couldn’t care less and certainly aren’t showing much team spirit or fight for themselves never mind the manager.

What annoys me most is that most of them seem to think their better than playing for us in the SPL. Guys like Kayal , Hooper , Stokes , all seem to have the body language of not wanting to be there , as if they are too good for the SPL. I could perhaps have some sympathy with this if they had won the league last year but they lost out in a 2 horse race.

Hate to say it but think its time for an experienced manager……has Mark Hughes got a job yet ?

  21. The big problem with the current Celtic squad with so many new foreign players is not ability but an acute lack of leaders on the field.

Too many quiet lads and a lack of bullies. We also now see the huge contribution Kris Commons made to the team last season.

  22. Margaret McGill on

Lenny and his coaching team have no tactical nous nor enough experience

Lenny and his coaching team dont have the ability to blend and motivate the players.

The players are not good enough. Some of them were not picked by Lenny IMO.

The Bored are basically Irish parasites biding their time bleeding Celtic.

The Scottish institutional cavalry are on red alert as the sacred hun institution is in deep trouble.

The bored are in not particularly interested in the demise of the huns as that means income loss.

The bored are not particularly interested in the Celtic supporters except as “dedicated customers”.

Lets see what happens after January and the Hun phoenix process in its infancy.

But if its 4iar its pre Fergus Days again.

Maybe Lenny can turn it around. Doubt it.

Keep the Faith or Keeping the Faithful. There’s a difference.

Faith in Lenny and Faith in the bored. There’s a difference.

  23. Neganon2

You need to ask ME that question. You have fallen further than Celtic. Look around buddy these are not normal times and in the grand scheme of things two points dropped at home against this backdrop is a ripple. If you cannot retain my posts of the last 7 years I am not prepared to regurgitate. Get rid of Neil Lennon and support Old firm united if you prefer.

    He is all we have.

    Standing up for Neil Lennon.

    HH

  24. Kevin – the celtic job should be a prime role for any manager. Its an absolutely brilliant job and right now – with the huns about to fall off the edge of the precipice, for a reasonable manager it is an opportunity to make your mark in history.

But…….you are correct – most decent managers understand that the money men wont allow success – because they arent interested in it (unless it is achieved by a divine miracle involving no money).

What makes me very sad (apart from my casandra role on this site) is what it has done to NL and his relationship with the supporters. Its really horrible asking him to resign. He should never have been given the job of course. Last year we came close but we did so on the back of fighting with the establishment. We nearly were together – the Board fought back a bit – but utlimately they dont really care about the issues. The best example I can give is the fact that they said nothing when the BBC accussed Celtic fans of singing sectarian songs at the SC Final. We were not singing sectarian songs – but the Board dont give a toss about us and they just see £ signs when they look at us. If that would have been Rangers at least their Board would have reacted.

All that momentum is now lost and guys like Wullie Collum carry on ensuring that the huns win at all costs – NL isnt allowed to be passionate and the Government is about to crimimnalise Celtic fans (remember in the scottish parliament the masked slipped and they said the new law is designed to equalise the position with Rangers fans). The Board have actually joined in with the campaign to criminalise celtic fans with their campaign against the green brigade (they actually thought about forcing them out of the stadium at the end of last year). Fans are being arrested for aggressive scraft twirling and having barriers with “hun” on them. Fans are being arrested for singing Irish rebel songs – while across the city the police have told the huns its okay to sing about Irish battles etc. Our Board say nothing

You see my dislike of the Board cant get any worse at the moment – shafting us on the pitch, cowards off it. DD doesnt even bother coming to see us or going to the AGM anymore. He is that indifferent.

The supporters dont know what to do – beset on all sides by enemies (same as it ever was) – with our worst enemy the ones who are running the club.

In the past we used to fight – we fought the old board and won. It feels like we have no fight left.

If this continues you expect a long long dark period for Celtic – with no bottom to the pit we are in in sight.

Listening to Neil on BBC Scotland – and nothing from him – no anger no desire no fight – you have to go Neil you are admitting you dont know what to do!

  25. Ellboy - I am Neil Lennon, YNWA. on

If we are all honest with ourselves we have known for sometime and have been kidding ourselves on. It’s now time for Lenny to hold his hands up as for whatever reason he’s failing.

The scary thing is who might take his place, I wouldn’t put it past Peter L to sound out a WGS comeback.

  26. Tom McLaughlin on

How can anybody ask who would take the Celtic job? It is still one of the biggest jobs in world football.

  27. Vinibhoy - Named Neil Lennon on his birth certificate on

Terrible game today, toothless, no invention.

We played in front of Hibs for 90 mins.

Midfield too far away from our strikers.

Strikers too far away from each other.

  28. Sorry Lenny, much as it pains me it’s time to go I’m afraid. Too big a job for your lack of experience. Maybe Leicester City isn’t such a bad move after all, away from the cesspit of Scottish Football.

I reckon we should break the bank to get Paul Lambert as I see so much of Big Jock in him.
