  1. God rest the one and only Jimmy Saville.

Just in from the game. We are not a team. Our football players have disappeared. There were times, especially in the second half when our goalkeeper got the ball and the other ten turned their backs to him. Not one looked for the ball. When most got it, they just humped it anywhere. Partly, that was because there was seldom a player making himself available to receive. Dreadful performance. The manager has his work cut out, if we are not to endure more of the same.

if the next experienced manager arrives at an empty CP he wont be able to spend a curdy

last season we broke even, but sold aiden for 9 million

how do you think we will break even this season, sell who?

the downward spiral started in 2003

8 years later we are reaping the “benefits”

  3. Giving the managers job to a rookie was a bad idea.

That rookie appointing other rookies as as sistants was a bad idea.

Having a policy of mainly signing rookie players with minimal experience to guide them is a bad idea.

All this shows up in more or less consistent failure at a higher level (europe).

It shows up in inconsistent results at the lower SPL level.

It shows up in the manager saying recently, after over a year in the job (can’t remember after which game), that he might have to look at personnel and formations again.

It shows up in the managers demeanour (as one poster said when NL was interviewed at the airport coming back from Rennes, he didn’t look great).

Above all we need some organisation that makes up for injuries, loss of form, dud players and bad breaks.

I think we have the players to win this league but they will not do so unless they are organised.

Organisation breeds confidence, it breeds commitmnet to your role, it breeds accountability – if you don’t perform you know what or who has gone wrong.

I remember one player saying that when Wim Jansen arrived he told the players what they had to do in their position and they were coached to carry out their role.

Our team at the minute doesn’t even have players playing in their natural position.

The question that has to be asked – is there any evidence that the current management team can build this organisation?

Giving the current management team more money to spend is not going to work. If it was it would already have happened.

On the larger question of the Board – if the management team aren’t good enough it’s not their fault it’s the fault of those who appointed them.

Going straight to a boycott however misses out all the intermediate steps in getting a change.

  4. I don,t believe some people are suggesting bringing back WGS.That really would be the end game.We could always get BTM as his assistant FFS

Calling on MON wouldn’t change anything.

He wouldn’t get the necessary funds to turn things around.

No point in bankrupting ourselves anyway.

The SPL is a dire and corrupt league.

    ——————————————————————————

Why shouldn’t we bakrupt ourselves? We an go on a winning spree enjoy great times and then when the sh1t hits the fan we can do a prepack and get back to normal in jig time!!!!

    TongueincheekCSC

  6. I remember sitting outside an Indian restaurant on a balmy night in Lisbon in November 2006, when we played Benfica in the CL. We were all singining “Paul Le Guen’s gonna get the sack, because we won the league before the clocks went back” to the tune of “Ring of Fire”.

Oh how far have we regressed and the shoe is now on the other foot. We have probably blown the league a la PLG, before the end of October. I was back in Scotland last weekend and made the Aberdeen game and I thought we were woeful then as well as the first half against Hibs on Wednesday night, but today took it down to a new level!!

Anybody who was at CP today should have their money refunded because this team are taking pay under false pretences. I watched, as I usually do, using Celtic media which is also taking money under false pretences, very poor streaming and from what I can see there is no longer the choice of Premium video which I pay extra money to use!

I hate to say it but Lenny’s position is now becoming untenable, baffling team selections, for example, we have the only natural left back on the bench but refuse to play him, and poor / non-existent tactics. It took him 70 minutes to realise that the midfield was not functioning.

For those of us who are waiting for the huns to go into administration and be deducted 10 points I would say that they could be deducted 20 points and they’ll still win the league against this bunch of under achievers who are bringing shame to our beloved Hoops.

Not a happy Hoop today :-)

I would take the mic out out onto the centre-circle and, tell the Celtic fans to their face’s that i will be standing aside because i feel if i stayed i would not be able to take the club further!

There would be NO media interviews!!!

  8. We have 4 midfield players (Ki Kayal Wanyama Ledley) who all want to play in the same position and in the same way, sit deep and make short sideway and backward passes to try to keep possession. We have no playmaker, someone who will take the game by the scruff of the neck and make things happen, a nakamura, a moravcik.

He wont come back anyway so no point in speculating.

The SPL is not somewhere that anyone with any talent wants to be.

  10. 12 point behind now and it’s still October. Never mind the calls for MoN, I’d settle for Gordon Strachan and his (mostly) winning brand of unexciting football.

Neil will walk when he needs to walk, he wont drag it out, i have yet to see one name posted on here of a manager who i think “hey that guy could do a job” not one.

Forget Martin, he will not come back.

    I just hope Lawell and the board are proud of their efforts this year, and when you go to to twist the knife into Lenny think of this;

6 targets were handed to Lawell in the close season, 2 centre halfs, 2 goalies and 2 strikers.

    None were delivered.

    Ki, Hooper and Kayal.

We, the fans, who pay our money and made heroes of thee three in particular. They’re not the only failures but they’re the highest profile on the highest wages.

I repeat. WE MADE HEROES OF THESE THREE.

I instead of someone taking Kayal aside after Kilmarnock and giving him a real talking too, reminding him of his responsibilities and letting him know that the attitude that day was disgraceful and that he would never kick a ball for Celtic again – what did we do?

Gave him a new improved contract.

    I despair.

I read posters excusing Hooper – injured. Bollix. He’s limited, slow, no intelligence, no pride, no backbone, no loyalty – no good.

Ki? Puh leasse. An imposter of the first degree. A poor footballer who flatters to deceive.

But the simple economics is that Scottish football CANNOT sustain big money signings on £30k + pw

    Scottish football is dying!

We laughed at Rangers we Laughed at Super Ally we laughed at Chris Whyte and still even though its only October we are 12 points behind the mob we laughed at.Bhoys unless something drastic happens and im not talking about a 10 point deduction for Rangers we have lost the SPL. I love Lennie to bits but he cant turn this around his man management is almost non exsistant his tactical awareness is poor the players he has signed are poor if not in skill in charachter the Job is far to big for him and I am sorry about that but he cant be allowed to continue to bring our once great club down.H.H.

Mibbees but it would depend on what I thought needed changed and whether I believed I could effect that change and get the backing I needed to do it. If I didnt know what to change or knew what to do but couldnt effect that change or didnt think I’d get the backing to do it I’d walk. I’d have to.

I think Neil needs to change so much, not least of all his support staff. He may have to be big enough to realise that success can mean surrounding yourself with people who are better than you are yourself.

Neil has a simple choice – effect what change is , regrettably , desperately needed or its he who will go.

I still believe Neil Lennon has something special about him. Either I’m wrong about that or its being suffocated by too much mediocrity around him.

re the 30k a week players that we cant get

how much does broonie earn now 25k?

i could easily get 100k a week of our wage bill, correction! i wouldnt have signed the 100k of crap that we currently support

8 center halves at CP and not a decent oine between them

so we can pay them all 10k a week each

or we can buy 3 for 30k each

mediocrity has ruled this club since 2003 and will continue as long as we support mediocrity

  25. This year we cannot blame refs or anything else – we put our trust in a manager that came close last year

This season, we are badly lacking, badly lacking

I love Lenny, but he is not our solution as a manager. There can be no debate.

Love to see MON back, would be delighted with Lambert or Moyes (not realistic), would welcome Strachan back, would even be interested in Mick McCarthy or even Roy Keane (SG Eriksson anyone?)

We cannot continue in this vein, we are CELTIC, we should not be fighting for 3rd position

  26. CultsBhoy hates being 2nd on

    Sorry Lenny

You are a Celtic Legend, I love you but you are not a Celtic Manager yet.

I will welcome you back if you get some more experience elsewhere but right now I’m out.

I love Celtic too much to keep the faith with Lenny any more.

  27. If Lenny was to walk, and i don’t think he will, our board’s ambition will stretch to a shortlist of Levein, McGhee, Collins & Coyle (if he gets sacked from Bolton).

For those wanting rid of him, be careful of what you wish for

Celtic should stick with Lenny till the end of the season. By the all will be laid bare.

If The bored get rid of Lenny then its another cynical ploy a smokescreen.

  32. If Neil Lennon had to leave…one of the lights in my heart will go out!

If it came to the worst and NL did leave…who would touch the job, knowing that they would have unwanted players thrust upon them by PL/John Park ?

  33. MON did little or no coaching. He left it to Walford and Robertson and just gave the team talk before they went out. I think Neil is being let down by the backroom staff. I wish we could get those two guys in, at least for a while.
