  1. good evening everyone at half time against Kilmarnock i was writing neils obituary,i hate saying it but i think it is not happening, something has to change there is something not quite right, but i got a feeling he might chuck it himself.and for all he has gone through i half a lot of sympathy for him and his family

  2. Here we go again, the ‘some ole, same ole’!

Where have i heard it all before, oh!, of course, from celtic fans, poor souls,

had a hard day?, oh dear, so sad,

Pull yourselves together for god’s sake, be men, suffer in silence!,

but be prepared to at least support your club, when they really need you!

    and stop being SO selfish!!!

    Grow up!!

  3. The PL/John Park player recruitment process has to be looked at!

Too much of ‘our’ money being wasted on ‘Arthur Daley’ type signings! IMO!

    It has to stop NOW!!!

  4. Paulotony ??? Think about it yes it’s the only way forward

Remember we have zero debt so it want harm the club long term

Strachan. He was the the one who stated us down the road of not bringing in quality in his 3rd year. You are joking

Paul67 if you said in your header to boycott , we would have a new board in place in 12 months Go on be brave and cut your ties

  5. Awe naw I am confused – how have I fallen further than Celtic and is that even possible? How on earth am I supporting old firm united – quite the opposite.

GG – dont you think that the current Board are inflicting permanent and continued damage to us? They have demonstrated that they cannot learn from their mistakes and show a callous disregard for our position. How can it get worse?

  6. Gerald766 – suffer in silence, take your punishment etc etc. Ah if only we had done that through history – I mean that approach nearly took us out of business didnt it. I mean why fight racism, sectarianism, bias from the SFA etc etc – away ya daft wee monkey

  7. Does anyone really believe that Demot Desmond is in this to make money? Be careful what you wish for, I’ll have DD any day compared to Caig Whyte and that’s the game we are in. As for money – Mowbray and Lennon have spent millions and we are going backwards so I dont subscribe to the “its all the board’s fault”. In these financial times I am happy to see the club financially sound for the future. What is massively annoying is that with all the money Celtic have spent- Rangers still sit so far ahead. For me that’s down to Lennon (and the lack of class he has bought. Whilst I dont want Strachan back, 3 straight titles doesn’t seem so bad now does it?

  8. WGS blew 4 iar by dropping our best player Aiden McGeady in the title decider at ipox and, playing Maloney who had been out all season injured ?

WGS suffered from, wee-man syndrome or, being a twisted wee individual far too often for my liking.

The empty seats started to appear in their thousands under WGS!

    No going back for me.

The board will now probably sit tight and hope the huns are deducted 10 points and, take their chances from there.

  9. Awe Naw

I’m torn,I honestly don’t know what to think,I agree Lenny is all we have, but, and I hate to say this, I don’t think he along with his coaches have what it takes on the football side of things.

PL won’t sack him, he might walk, but we are in a bad way mi amigo.

The answer is to change the strategy the board have embarked on the last 6-7 years, unfortunatly that’s no going to happen, if effect we are fecked.

  10. Ok I am convinced now get in Hiddink and fibre him a budget less than his wage and twice what Peter Lawell is on. Tell him honestly as that’s the Celtic way that the huns can outspend us by 10m a year over 10 years.

And come back and tell me he agreed and your not hallucinating.

    you have got to wonder

are the brave souls who were at the game today supporting Celtic or supporting the downsizing of celtic?

    inadevertantly, probably both

unless there is a change of strategy, very very soon, we too will be staving off admin, since them empty seast aint paying for themselves

  12. Ellboy - I am Neil Lennon, YNWA. on

Bringing back WGS would be a massive mistake but I can see PL trying to do so.:(

  13. Joe Filippis Haircut on

It is quite amazing that Celtic in one way or another could make Chris Whyte into an absolute Rangers Legend if Rangers go into Administration and are deducted 10 points but go on to win the SPL and qualify for the Champions league how much of a hero will he be?We have in my opinion one chance and one chance only to perhaps salvage the situation. That is for Neil to do the honarable thing and resign walk away with his head held high the Job being to big for him is no real failure he will allways be a Celtic faveroute we then have to go out quickly and pay the money for an experienced manager Roy Hodges would be my choice.H.H.

  14. Vinibhoy - Named Neil Lennon on his birth certificate on

Charlie Austin just scores for Burnley.

No what I am saying or asking is:

Is there a way to change either the policy or the board without crippling the club?

Most of the posters on this site want the best for Celtic. I just don’t want us holed below the water line.

I’m not wanting revolution and anarchy but an evolution from stringent prudence to measured risk.

Burning the board at the stake will not achieve that.

    What will?

    ‘GG

  16. There is no way I will consider a boycott

A boycott is the easy option when you are thousands of miles away and only attend at Celtic park every 10 years or whatever

However I do reserve the right to shout down a supporter purporting to be a Coach with no managerial experience being allowed to drag our club backwards

  17. Joe Fillipie

    Hurt the one you love.

You know whats worse than that is staying in a relationship where you dont want the same things. You can try and stay together but will keep tearing each other to pieces. They guys who run Celtic just want to get money. The support want to win games. We want different things that are so fundamentally different they cannot be resolved.

We need a divorce. Pretending we dont is putting off the inevitable.

We should get to keep the house though – because we owned it long before this lot came along and we will care about it long after they have gone.

NL leaving will create the crisis in the boardroom we need. PL wont survive it and DD will throw him under a bus as his scapegoat. Our real problem is that DD wont sell up unless he gets his origninal investment back OR unless we can make his life as miserable as possible. He already hates us – so I’m sure we can do this. We are gonna have to. If we can take away the turnstyle fodder he takes us for he will see his investment diminish in value – then he has a real decision to make as to whether to cut and run or tough it out. He will cut and run and we can start again.

Its the only way – failed relationships should be left behind both both parties sake…..

  18. I'm Neil Lennon (tamrabam) on

    the exiled tim

i haqve been saying that for years

an about turn in our clubs strategy is needed or we will end up with financial troubles of our own

them empty seats aint paying for themselves

first of it was ” we wont spend”

nowadays i think ” we cant spend”

  19. GG – there is no other way – Rangers will win 4 in a row despite their problems and we show NO signs of reacting – they dont care

    Crystal Clarity at it’s best!

    Love YA!!!

    Hail! Hail!

  21. Read with interest that Paul Lambert does not have one non Brit in his team and the entire squad has only three non Brits. He reckons they understand UK football, know the language and don’t need two seasons to setlle in. Maybe he’s on to something!!!!

I said earlier we must get Paul Lambert at any cost to come in, clear away the huge amount of dross and get us showing some bloody fight> we MUST show some fight.

    Hail Hail

  22. Lenny wanted experienced players our director of football got him kids.

I love lenny but help yourself and celtic and resign.

You can leave with dignity and we the celtic family will support you and drive lawell out.

We can’t get rid of our absentee landlord but lawell has to go.

Please don’t give me any bull poo about huns going bust

We are celtic and we have to fix our own problems.

Lenny we love you but please go and go now.

    Hail hail

  23. the worst thing today was on the pitch we are a collection of mediocre individuals who don’t even care enoughto try, and we have a management team with no clue how to motivate them

  24. Motherwell away next

i can see our rear ends being handed to us on a plate

is this the 90’s all over again?

  25. After the transfer window the boards involvement finished.

We have enough good players to if not beat rangers to the league, to stay on their coat tails, we haven’t.

Our set up, style of play and the mangers decisions are the problem.

He has problems with man-management and changing a game.

A poor manager blames and names players who let him down. This is done behind close doors not in interviews with the media.

He is trying to pass the blame.

Neil, you and your ex team mates of a backroom staff are to blame, whatever is happening at training, in the dressing room or in the pub has to change, therefore you all need to go.

We can’t change 25 players over night, we can change the manager.

  26. Vinibhoy - Named Neil Lennon on his birth certificate on

    Ross Wallace scores for Burnley.

  27. I got a brilliant error there – it said

“you are posting too quickly – slow down”

Paul67 thats the best error message I have ever had – cheered me up no end :)

  28. gebhoy is the taxmans tick tocking clock, tick...tock on

Listen get rid of Lenny and who do we get???

No point spouting shoite to get rid of him, but what top class managers will come to CP to work under the conditions Lenny has to work under?

    None, nada, zero, zilch!

Until the board strategy changes, nothing changes…….

Lenny will resign when he thinks its time to go, he definately will not be sacked.

    gebhoy

  29. Neil Lennon was diddled out of the league last year.

Hiddink would be diddled out of it this year.

Today we drew against a team we beat 4.1 on Wednesday.

Yes it is not good. We are very inconsistent.

If our players were not kicked off the park Willy Nilly it might be better.

    kevin @17.41

thats pretty much what is going to happen

the board are waiting for the huns admin situation then its a hope for the best case

an imaginaive strategy that is worth about 1 million quid a year in wages to the guy who implements it

BTW i dont believe that DD has an overall majority with shares

  31. The Van Beuren Bhoy on

    Long time lurker, seldom poster.

When Gordon Smith was apponted Chief Exec of the SFA, many posted on here that he did not meet the person spec. of the post to merit being appointed, in fact there were many boxes that he did not tick.

The Celtic Board repeated this serious mistake with the appointment of Neil. I’m not sure who is ultimately accountable for that decision nor what the appropriate action that should be taken against said person(s).

However, having been given the post, Neil should have selected a backroom staff comprising of experienced ex Managers/Coaches to make up for his inexperience. By not doing that, and in fact surrounding himself with three individuals with no managerial experience nor any first team coaching experience was totally unbelievable. The performances of the team for the first half of both last season and this season reflected the Management/Coaching staff’s inexperience. In fact, if it wasn’t for the ‘Sammi Show’ at New Year, the league would have been over half way through last season.

Having rallied after the Ibrox result in the second half of last season, Neil should have made a number of experienced professionals his main priority for close season signings. For whatever reason he chose not to. The result is that we have a very young and inexperienced team who will undoubtedly turn the type of inconsistent performances that we have witnessed this season.

Where people make sensible decisions based on sound logic and things go wrong then that’s life but when decisions such as those above are made, well the consequent story writes itself…
