  1. I am a fan of Neil Lennon, I thought he was great as a player for us and good as a manager. He put up with unbelievable treatment while at our club, with Bombs, bullets and several Huns attacking him. He had to flee his house in the middle of the night with his family.

I hated what the media said about him and the unfair treatment he got from the SFA. They treated him very poorly and even got the blame for the sleakit Sally incident. The only one who got punished.

I had even thought that he maybe would come back as a manager.

However, today was an eye opener his behaviour in and out of the Technical area was outrageous. He went nuts and all and sundry every time there was a decision against Hibs. He shouted at the Celtic fans and even shouted his abuse of his players on the field to the subs He abraded his own players shouted at the ref and linesman and argued with the 4th official constantly. He shouted and gestured to the Celtic dugout and gestured at Chris Davies at Full time. He announced one of his players was pathetic. At one point he reached for a water bottle to throw at the referee and only stopped at the last minute.

I was shocked at his antics as were the other fans in my section, this was Celtic not Rangers, he has shared great times with us. I don’t think his behaviour was measured or reasonable he lost the plot. Hibs got beat by a better team and he was lucky it wasn’t more. Neil is a passionate man but he made a mug of himself today.

You are at an advantage I haven’t saw the footage but I thought it was morra Garry v Chris … I did listen to Neil after the event and he put the journo in his place, am glad Neil doesn’t like getting beat by Celtic… in my opinion Neil is the same as Tommy B & the Maestro Celtic legends … and if Neil is pissed off who cares he is only human

Replied. Praecepta, aye, need to get him along too.

    Thoughts?

  9. I had thought, adding today’s performance to recent ones, that James might have earned himself a two game exemption from scapegoating.

    But I guess not.

BTW- I was not too far from the dugouts today and I did not see Lenny shouting at the Celtic fans- the 4th official and the linesman yes- but he lowered his voice when he turned to speak to the fans.

I left right on the final whistle so I might have missed any barney at full time but I find it difficult to believe that Lenny would rip into our fans unless some were behaving badly towards him.

He’s a passionate guy and a restless improver. Every decision against his teams is gonna be argued against and ranted about. He is now the Hibs manager and wants his Hibs players to win so he will be upset they didn’t.

I thought Don Robertson had a good game though he gave Stevie Mallan’s fouling too much leeway before booking him. Maybe the fact that I thought Robertson reffed well justifies Neil’s opinion that he could not have been fair to Hibs.

I can’t see it myself but then I’m not a Hibs fan.

  10. I thought Neil Lennon’s comments after the game on Radio Scotland were fine. My mate asked me if I had heard him on Radio Clyde (never listen to it, tbh). Hadn’t. Seems he didn’t cover himself in glory. Shame.

We are all in his debt, He suffered disgracefully by simply being on our books. The SFA and MSM pandered to Scotland’s not so secret shame and targeted him.

I hope he realises he will always have a special place in Celtic supporters’ hearts but he cannot act as has been reported today.

I was a wee quiet bhoy back then :-) wish I was a bit more outgoing back then …. forever indebted to Lennybhoy for sorting that night out for us, my older brothers, young nephews and a few good mates all having a tremendous night at Celtic Park…. cracking night even though I got landed with HamiltonTim & FourGreemFields :-)

  12. I had dream last night. Myself & Jesus were watching tomorows game in the North Stand Lowe Tier. Trust me that is not a problem with Jesus as your mate. He turned to me and said ‘who is that No.63 Jim the Tim?’ I looked puzzled back to Him. Then I realised.

I am a Neil Lennon fanatic loved him as a player and loved the fact he took a wage cut to leave his beloved Leicester to follow his mentor Martin to paradise …. by the way I love Brendan as well

As for a good memory I remember you saying what a great venue for a stag doo :-) I have met terrific people from this blog and hopefully meet many more ….

Your “play nice” is up there with Leftclicktic “thank you for being here” in my opinion CQN is a very special place and even under attack with posters who don’t like its success thankfully the good posters return to the fold :-)

Sending pictures of his boaby is in rather poor taste….but sending pictures of his ugly mug is a hanging offence!

  18. The way Neil Lennon was exposed, and NOT defended in this country, speaks volumes about this place,Neganon gets a hard time on here, would it happen to Myth,McCoist etc….we all know why

Last week on facebook, one of the Kano Foundation bhoys posted a message

“On this day, October 17th 2009, The Bring Martin Home Committee were having a bucket collection in Paradise at Celtic Park v Motherwell game. From this collection the seeds were sown and the Kano Foundation was born #KanoFoundation”

I shared it, only to have a message by an ex-CQner saying that was when the blog was full of true CQN men. I followed up to say that the blog still had many good CQN men and women that helped so many others. His reply simply was that the blog was full of fannies, His words not mine,

Intolerance and unacceptance of a different view and opinion and from a Celtic man
