Should now be with you :-)

Starheedrammy – I’m still to be convinced with Rogic, cannot see him becoming a regular, but does have talent, not even in squad today

Incidentally I was glad neither was Forrest who having seen a lot of media about being offered a contract in Janiuary has not signed yet, so let go, and I struggle with Mcgregor in our team – although his team discipline has improved slightly

    Hail Hail

talking to myself , but stivs, what about joseph jordan –

    Celtic[edit]

After Hearts, in 1993 Jordan became assistant manager to Liam Brady at Celtic, said to be out of an emotional attachment to the club he supported as a boy, and to Brady. Having been in the job since 1991, Brady resigned just four months after Jordan arrived, and he felt morally obliged to do the same, stating in 2010 that he felt no regrets and that “You’ve just got to make those calls.”[1]

Buchan and Lorimar were not Celtic supporters. Gordon McQueen supports the Dark Side.

Bully Bremner was a massive Celtic fan.

If Ronny is going to ditch that high pressing game, that doesn’t work, and just sends out a team to play pure, inventive football – then from this midfield trio – SB, Nir Biton and SJ – two of them would have to go unfortunately – I’d keep Biton in the side, because he can step on the football and control the thing.

Stuart Armstrong also, even though he is a decent footballer, could easily find himself being replaced as well.

This isn’t a criticism of any player, just being pragmatic.

    Difficult call to make sometimes.

    It has to be done.

Billy Bremmer, was a Raploch ( Stirling ), ex St Modan’s Bhoy

No idea on McGregor, thought he was out for being a bad boy :-)

  6. Many thanks to CQN posters for updates and comments. At the gowff with Shuggy Junior who kept me updated. Grateful for the 3 points. Watched Arsenal dominate Hull earlier. Commentator asked, why the need for Arsenal to have holding midfielders when they are not asked to defend ? Come Friday at Hamilton, play the boys who came on as subs , and, by all accounts, did very well. Good to see big Yogi doing well up north. Good guy.

    Stivs – Thanks for that.

Remember my oul fella telling me that Eddie Gray was a Celtic fanatic, and a genuine world class footballer.

    Career ruined by injury?

    billy bremner –

i was once taught by a jp no less in a mangement class, he was pals with billy as a youth , and he told me first,

    Leeds United[edit]

Born in Stirling, Scotland, to James and Bridget Bremner, he attended St Modan’s High School and represented Scotland Schoolboys.[2] His father forbade him from joining Celtic as he did not want him involved in the religion-based rivalry with Rangers, and Bremner rejected both Arsenal and Chelsea as he did not enjoy his stay in London during trial spells with the two clubs, and was instead convinced to join Bill Lambton’s Leeds United in 1959

  12. Cheers lads, I should have known about Bremner. When he went for his trial with Leeds he was invited with another other Scot. None other than the Minx’s dad!

  13. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

haley mcqueen once said her dad had an affection for celtic and came up with other leeds players to watch them a few times,

ht, was it this fella ?

He joined along with his friend Tommy Henderson, who would return to Scotland due to homesickness without making a first team debut.[

Damien Duff another genuine Tim, never played competitive football for the big team.

me – I never played for celtic – however I’m shite, I wouldn’t get a game for the mo bangura invitational testimonial versus the back of beyond

  17. Eddie Gray told a programme in England, he would have given his left arm to play for the Hoops. He said in the same programme that Billy Bremner was another huge fan. Both great players. Eddie was kicked out of the game by the likes of Chopper Harris of Chelsea. Joe Jordan was another Leeds legend who loved the Celtic.

  18. The Battered Bunnet. Reading your post I’m I right in saying that you don’t rate the manager that’s ok everyone is entitled to there views. but who would you like to be the next manager of Celtic Football Club now that shouldn’t be to hard.

  19. i’vehadtochangemyname

change your name to James Forrest and you might get a game as you seem to be in possesion of similar football ability

  20. Listen what is it with some on here regarding John Collins, tell me I like thousands want to know, and somebody saying that the Referee in to days game is a Hun, away and gies peace. Very ignorant person who said that,

I remember Tommy Henderson playing with Cork Hibs – won a Shield (equivalent of the League Cup, I suppose) medal in 1969 – 2nd left, front row in photo below

    good picture bud,

A good pal that was a junior player and manager used to say to me though,

“i hate fitballers who are laughing and joking”.

that team is smirking too much,

also, did mike conroy senior play for cork hibs ?

and ,michael junior manage them ?

    Re Rome

Squire-Ess and I went last year

Spectacular city as you would imagine.

Public transport a nightmare. Pickpockets and gropers all over the place. Subway is 2 lines and goes in X shape from NW to SE and vice versa.

If u want to go INSIDE St Peters then book before and online.

If you are content to just turn up at the Square on Wednesday for Papal audience you don’t need to book.

Turn up and ignore the touts and you get entry to SPSquare as long as you are appropriately dressed, i. e no shorts.

    Food and sights wonderful.
