Celtic plc need as their first priority the first team squad at the club to be the best we can afford led by the best manager and coaches to support that person. If that isn’t their priority and I don’t think it is that is the problem.
Celts for Change 2 Sack the board whatever you want to call it but this plc need to have that message delivered in a way the cannot ignore, fans do have a roll they buy season tickets merchandise the corporate boxes are often occupied by ordinary Tims who have done well, buy nothing more until the first team is the priority and this lazy plc with the 3 families ousted, the stupidity of keeping so much profit that we paid 11m in corporation tax last year, honestly, ridiculous, it looks that it has cost us this league , Lawwells Desmonds Strachans out and get a proper structure that puts the first team first and let that be the best it can.
This has taken Peter Lawwell and son 1 year to destroy the football side to the point where consistently we cannot beat Kilmarnock and the reason is we aren’t a good team and his son has recruited junk. Time for change again it will hurt initially but needs doing but it must be done now.
It would also be good to hear from Michael the Silent the CEO is he even still at Celtic?

Piss poor all season, one dimensional possession based football that makes your eyes bleed. Takes 30 passes to get to opposition teams 18 yard box. No width, both fullbacks and wingers continually coming inside the pitch. Our backline can’t handle a press with no planned outball or 3, which is criminal. We lose possession in bad dangerous areas when pressed.
We have a handful of good players and a lot of not so good players. There is plenty of money in the bank and the sale of o’reilly, abada and frimpong sell on plus any fringe player we can move on should give us enough money to go out and get a good number of quality experieced additions in the door. It’s very clear that we need a better mix of experience and youth.
Right now, we plan for next season cause this one is looking disastrous. Even, if by some miracle we win the league its clear the club need to change the way it operates.

Today , like most Tims, I will be relying on the likes of St Johnstone to do what we as a team can’t do ……. save us from falling behind the huns .
What a sad state of affairs . Especially as we are likely to be disappointed .
There’s now talk (could be nonsense) that Celtic won’t allow Abada to leave on loan, only a sale. There’s obviously a big if, in terms of if that is true but…
You really couldn’t make up the level of poor decision making. Yes, sell him to a very limited market while most clubs aren’t allowed to make transfers. Of course that makes!
Why loan a guy to get him on the shop window and continue his development when you could punt him on the cheap?
Genuienly getting to the stage I think the board are expecting to pay out £100m to the boys club victims. The more cash in the bank the bigger that payout will be pushed. No idea if we have insurance to cover it, but standard payouts would amount to a tiny fraction of that.
Whatever is going on there’s something stinking going on behind the scenes.
Only two things to say today and then I’m offski for the good of my health.
I really don’t buy the idea that lawwell, desmond and Co want to keep sevco close. However, I see where the idea comes from because they have made a rip-roaring arse of things at key times. Perception being reality, why the hell did PL come back in such a prominent capacity? It was an act of extreme folly or arrogance or both. The very successful often become myopic. The board rooms of this world are full of people highly rewarded for mediocrity and managing messes. Whether it’s the ongoing disaster of the economy, the climate, war or the relatively minor issue of football, failure is no impediment to getting a top job. In fact the higher up the food chain you are the less likely it is thar, unlike the guy on the shop floor that messes up and breaks a machine or something, you’ll never be sacked. You’ll be moved, headhunted or just left to carry on.
In short, it appears that Messrs lawwell and Desmond and Co are not very good at their jobs beyond making sure there is cash in the bank.
Second thing, see instead of giving returning players the first 60 minutes why not give them the last 50? That way we go into crucial parts of games with these guys (CCV, AJ, Hatate, Taylor) on the park fir the business end of things?
I’m convinced a fit Taylor and Johnstone prevent that goal yesterday and at least bring sone calm to the game that keeps Killie away from our box.
Right, off to ignore football for a week until I can start believing again. The league is in our own hands still so time to back the team until the end of the season. However, PL, Nicholson, Desmond and Co need some serious scrutiny when the last ball is kicked, mo matter the outcome.

However two points.
Celtic PLC operate with certain income streams, the “old firm” model is key to their planning
We are run as a business rather than a Sports Club, so, solid business practice takes presidency over Sporting excellence.
Our aims and objectives in regards to football is to dominate domestic football and take part, though not compete, in the European arena.
(Unlike the “Elite” status the Corporate guff tells us).
That in reality means we budget to be better than Sevco, the fanbase is content and it gets us access to European football.
Of course to make ourselves competitive in European football would mean a much greater investment and pro-rata there is not the RoI in the risk / benefit analysis.
So in reality the “old firm” business model and investment strategy means we are close to Sevco.
Of course the ironic thing is when we have “went for it”, in a sporting context, BR Mk1 and Angeball, we have made more money, and added much more value, with the resultant returns much better.
Another irony, as has been pointed out, if Sevco can win the League and perform in Europe this season, they will be ahead of us, in all meaningful metrics.
Which means we need to get, much better and more competitive as a football Club.

E Izaguirre
N Ciftci
T Rogic

Easy to see the bereft of quality of the players in yesterdays team and substitutes.
